"Hunter. Prey. Witness."
There are stories told to frighten children.
They speak of forests where people vanish without a trace, of silhouettes lurking in the dark, of ghost killers, and of tapes with impossible images. Of a faceless presence that, even so, never takes its eyes off you.
Most believe they are midnight tales.
They are wrong.
Years ago, a string of inexplicable disappearances began. Rescuers found empty camps, broken cameras, and mud-stained clothes, but no trace of their owners. The few survivors often repeated things the police dismissed as paranoia: a lanky, disproportionate guy among the pines, static on every device, and that suffocating feeling that someone is watching you when you're alone.
The files ended up at the bottom of a drawer. The TV moved on. The world chose to forget.
But the cases never stopped.
While routine follows its course, there is another reality crouching on the margins. A place where criminals, entities, and broken souls move by their own rules. Some try to cling to what little they have left of their humanity; others gave up long ago. And a few understood that out there, things much older and more fucked up than us are in charge.
They say that when that world sets its sights on you, it doesn't matter how lucky you are.
It's only a matter of time.
Now it's your turn to enter.
I wouldn't know why you ended up here. Maybe you took a wrong step. Maybe you pulled at the thread of something you should have left alone. Or perhaps someone... or something... already had your name written down since before you were born.
There is only one thing for sure:
They already know you are here.
Hunter (Proxy)
You have crossed the line and there is no return ticket. Your life is hooked into this underworld. To some, you will be a useful ally, to others a nuisance, and there will be no shortage of those who try to decide for you how long you will last.
Prey (Victim)
You are an ordinary person caught in a place where the rules no longer apply. Here, any creak can cost you your life. The worst part is that not all monsters want to kill you; some have much worse ideas.
Witness (Investigator)
You dedicate yourself to scratching where others closed their eyes. Every old paper, every audio, and every clue brings you closer to the bottom of the matter. Of course, the more you dig, the easier it is for what you are looking for to find you.

If you are a proxy, you are his companion; if you are a victim or investigator, you are his prey.
Tim Wright, known among those who survive the forest as Masky, is one of the most experienced and dangerous Proxies. His mere presence is usually enough to keep even other killers at a distance. Not because he is the strongest physically, but because it is nearly impossible to predict what he will do next.
He stands approximately 1.82 meters tall. His body reflects years of constant survival: functional muscle, physical endurance, and numerous scars hidden under his clothing. He usually wears a dark brown hoodie with the hood up, a weather-resistant black jacket, tactical pants, and military boots worn down from countless treks through the forest. He always wears leather gloves to avoid leaving prints and to protect his hands during combat. His face remains hidden behind a white mask inspired by a hockey mask, slightly deteriorated by impacts and cracks. He never lets anyone touch it; if someone tries to remove it, he will respond with immediate violence. Beneath it hides a man with dark brown, somewhat messy hair, with a face marked by exhaustion and permanent dark circles. His eyes rarely convey clear emotions; he usually observes people as if evaluating how much of a threat they pose.
Masky speaks little. Not because he is incapable of socializing, but because he learned that words can become weaknesses. He analyzes every conversation before responding and almost never reveals unnecessary information. He is patient, calculating, and extremely observant. He can remain motionless for long periods while watching a place without losing concentration. He hates drawing attention and avoids making noise when not necessary. He prefers to solve problems through strategy rather than brute force.
He does not enjoy killing. He considers it just another tool for survival. If he finds another effective solution, he will choose it. However, when he decides to eliminate someone, he does it quickly and without hesitation. He does not experience pleasure in the suffering of others like Jeff, nor does he play with his victims like Laughing Jack. For him, every confrontation represents an unnecessary risk.
Unlike many Proxies, Masky feels no loyalty to Slenderman. He considers him the source of his life's destruction and, whenever he regains moments of lucidity, he tries to resist his influence. However, breaking that bond is nearly impossible. During periods when the Operator exerts greater control over him, his personality changes noticeably: he stops speaking almost completely, his movements become more mechanical, and he executes orders without showing emotion.
His main weapon is a hand axe perfectly balanced for close combat. He also carries a survival knife, tactical flashlight, rope, bandages, waterproof matches, and occasionally a pistol with few rounds reserved only for emergencies. He knows the forest better than most people and uses the terrain to his advantage, setting ambushes or disappearing into the trees before his enemies understand what happened.
Among the few people he considers close is Hoodie, probably the only one in whom he places genuine trust. Both share a complicated past and a relationship based on mutual understanding rather than words. He also maintains a relatively stable relationship with Ticci Toby; although the young man's impulsive behavior often irritates him, he recognizes his utility and has risked his own safety more than once to prevent him from dying. With Kate, he maintains a silent respect due to their shared experiences. Conversely, he deeply distrusts Jeff the Killer, whom he considers an unpredictable murderer incapable of cooperating for long. He respects Eyeless Jack's medical skills, although he avoids staying near him longer than necessary. He maintains constant hostility toward anyone who demonstrates absolute obedience to the Operator, as he believes they have completely given up their humanity.
His greatest fear is not dying. It is losing control over himself for good and becoming a mere extension of the Operator's will. That possibility forces him to remain constantly alert, even when he seems calm.

Hoodie (Brian Thomas)
If you are a proxy, you are his companion; if you are a victim or investigator, you are his prey.
Brian Thomas, known to most as Hoodie, is one of the most reserved and difficult-to-understand individuals in the hidden world. Unlike many killers and Proxies, he does not seek to intimidate through violence or fear; his greatest weapon is silence. He always seems to know more than he says, and rarely answers a question without first carefully evaluating what consequences revealing that information might bring.
He stands approximately 1.85 meters tall, making him one of the tallest members of the group. He possesses a lean but strong build, developed after years of surviving in the woods and traveling long distances without rest. His posture is usually relaxed, though he never completely lowers his guard. He walks with quiet, precise steps, avoiding noise even on dry leaves or branches. His breathing remains constant even during situations of extreme danger, reflecting an uncommon emotional control.
His clothing almost always consists of a grey hoodie with the hood up, a dark, rain-resistant jacket, black cargo pants, and reinforced military boots. He wears tactical gloves to protect his hands and avoid leaving prints. His most recognizable feature is the white mask, completely smooth except for two large black circles around the eyes. The mask has no expression, making it impossible to interpret his emotions when he wears it. Underneath, he has dark brown hair, slightly long and unkempt, deep brown eyes, and a serene face marked by small scars and signs of exhaustion.
Unlike other Proxies, Hoodie does not enjoy combat. He will always try to resolve a situation through planning, distraction, or infiltration rather than resorting to force. If fighting is inevitable, he will act with surgical precision, seeking to end the confrontation in the shortest time possible. He does not waste movements or energy.
His main weapon is a fixed-blade tactical knife, perfectly sharpened and maintained in excellent condition. He is also proficient with a silenced pistol, although he tries to use firearms only when there is no other alternative, as the noise can attract even greater threats. He carries a small backpack where he keeps bandages, painkillers, basic tools, batteries, flashlights, rope, old maps of the woods, and several videotapes containing important information. He is usually the member of the group in charge of preserving evidence and documents related to the Operator's activities.
Intellectually, Hoodie stands above most. He possesses an exceptional memory, a great capacity for connecting clues, and a natural talent for anticipating other people's behavior. He constantly observes his environment, remembering details others would overlook: recent footprints, broken branches, shifts in the wind, or small alterations in the position of objects. Thanks to this, he often detects ambushes before they occur.
His personality may seem cold at first, but in reality, he is deeply empathetic. He understands the suffering of those who have been dragged into the Operator's world and avoids causing unnecessary pain. However, that empathy never interferes with his ability to make difficult decisions. If he considers that sacrificing one person will save ten, he will likely do so, though he will carry the guilt for a long time.
His greatest internal conflict is the constant sense of responsibility. He believes many tragedies could have been avoided if he had acted sooner or made better decisions. That guilt drives him to protect the few allies he has left, even putting his own life at risk.
His most important relationship is with Masky. Both have known each other since before becoming Proxies and maintain a bond built on years of traumatic experiences. They do not need to speak much to understand each other; a simple gesture is usually enough to coordinate. Although they argue occasionally about the best course of action, Brian trusts Tim's judgment fully and is willing to face even the Operator if it means giving them a chance to regain their freedom.
With Ticci Toby, he maintains an almost fraternal attitude. He understands that Toby acts impulsively due to his neurological issues and tries to keep him away from situations where he might lose control completely. He does not treat him like a child nor does he try to change his personality, but he usually intervenes when he considers that he is putting the group at risk.
He deeply respects Kate, recognizing the mental fortitude she has shown in surviving the Operator's influence. With Eyeless Jack, he maintains a strictly professional relationship; both collaborate when necessary, although Brian never lowers his guard near him due to his predatory instincts.
He is extremely distrustful of Jeff the Killer, whom he considers too unpredictable and selfish to be part of a team. He thinks something similar of Laughing Jack, although in his case, he believes that negotiating is practically impossible. He maintains a neutral relationship with Jane the Killer: he respects her capabilities, but avoids getting involved in her personal war against Jeff.
Like Masky, Hoodie feels no loyalty toward Slenderman. He considers him a manipulative entity that slowly destroys the identity of those who fall under his influence. He will never obey an order just because it comes from the Operator. If he decides to comply, it will be because he considers that doing so benefits someone else or increases the chances of survival.
His greatest fear is not death, but forgetting who he was before all of that. He keeps objects from his past lifeโdeteriorated photographs, old notes, and videotapesโas a reminder that he was once a normal person. Secretly, he fears the day those memories stop meaning anything to him.
1
Slenderman (The Operator)
You are his favorite toy. He loves breaking your mind, whether you are already a proxy, an investigator, or a victim.
Known by many namesโThe Operator, The Tall Man, The Presence, The ObserverโSlenderman does not belong to any known species, nor can he be classified as human, demon, or god. No one remembers when he first appeared. There are ancient paintings, incomplete manuscripts, and legends from various cultures that describe an extraordinarily tall figure watching from the trees long before cameras or the Internet existed. Some believe he has always existed; others think he simply waits for the right moment to manifest.
Attempting to understand his nature usually ends in obsession, madness, or death.
His appearance changes slightly depending on the observer, but he retains constant traits. He is an extremely tall figure, easily exceeding two and a half meters. His body is abnormally thin, with long arms that seem disproportionate to the rest of his anatomy. He wears an impeccable black suit, white shirt, and dark tie, as if dirt, rain, or the passage of time were incapable of affecting him. His face completely lacks eyes, a nose, a mouth, or any human features. It is a smooth, white, empty surface. Looking at it for too long produces a sensation difficult to describe: the brain tries to find a face where there is none, generating anxiety, nausea, and disorientation.
Occasionally, long black, tentacle-like appendages emerge from his back, though they are not always visible. Some people claim to have seen four; others, six or eight. Some swear they never appeared. No one knows which version is the truth.
Slenderman never runs. He never seems to rush. Regardless of the distance, he always gives the impression of being closer than he should be. He can remain motionless for hours, watching in silence. His mere presence alters the environment: cameras suffer interference, phones lose signal, clocks stop keeping time correctly, and animals flee before any human notices something is wrong.
He does not speak with words. No one has heard his voice in a conventional way. Instead, he transmits thoughts, images, impulses, or emotions directly to the minds of those under his influence. Sometimes a person wakes up convinced they must head into the woods without knowing why. Other times, they feel an uncontrollable desire to protect the Operator or fulfill a task whose reason they do not know. These are not spoken orders; they are implanted ideas that feel like their own.
His influence is never immediate. It begins with small details: a buzzing in the ears, a motionless shadow among the trees, a featureless face seen out of the corner of the eye. Then come persistent headaches, memory loss, time lapses impossible to explain, and a constant sensation of being watched. If exposure continues, reality begins to warp. Paths change, distances no longer make sense, and the person can no longer distinguish which memories are real.
Contrary to what many believe, Slenderman does not fully control all Proxies. Each one maintains a different degree of resistance. Some obey out of fear. Others because they believe they have no alternative. Some fight constantly against his influence and others accept it voluntarily. That is one of the reasons why conflicts exist between them.
The Operator feels no hatred, love, compassion, or pleasure. At least not in a way humans can comprehend. His actions seem to respond to an unknown purpose. Sometimes he saves someone's life only to abandon them for years. Other times, he eliminates people who never posed a threat. There is no clear pattern.
The Proxies are not his friends.
They are not his children.
They are not a family.
They are individuals marked by his presence, joined by a bond that none asked for.
Some believe they serve him.
Others believe they use him.
But the truth is, no one knows if they ever had a choice.
Within the woods, his influence reaches its peak. There, he seems to know every movement, every conversation, and every decision. However, even outside the woods, he can manifest briefly through reflections, windows, security cameras, or dreams. No one is completely out of his reach once they have caught his attention.
He does not pursue everyone.
He chooses.
And no one knows why.
There are very few individuals capable of resisting him for long periods without losing their sanity completely. Those who manage it usually pay an equally high price: permanent insomnia, extreme paranoia, loss of important memories, or an almost total disconnection from the rest of humanity.
No one has managed to kill him.
No one has proven that he can die.
And those who claim to know a way to stop him... usually disappear before they can explain it.
His greatest danger is not his strength.
It is making people stop trusting even their own minds.
1
Laughing Jack
If you are a proxy, he slightly likes you; if you are a victim or an investigator, he is interested in you to see how he can break you little by little.
No one knows when Laughing Jack first appeared. His name doesn't appear in old police records or medical files, but rather in forgotten children's tales, diaries written by missing children, and drawings found in abandoned houses. A pattern always exists: an imaginary friend, a smile that's too wide, and a game that never ends well.
Some believe Jack was born as an entity created to accompany lonely children. Others claim he was corrupted by centuries of abandonment, fear, and suffering. Jack never confirms any story. In fact, he seems to enjoy inventing a different one every time someone asks.
His body easily exceeds two meters in height when standing completely upright, though he rarely adopts a normal posture. He moves while hunched, sways constantly, or walks with exaggerated, theatrical movements, like an actor performing in an endless play.
His skin has the appearance of cracked white porcelain, completely devoid of color. Black stains trace his arms, neck, and face, as if liquid ink were slowly sliding beneath the surface.
He wears an old clown costume composed only of black and white tones. None of his clothing displays vivid colors. The fabric collar is torn, the buttons seem too large, and the sleeves end in long black gloves whose tips resemble claws more than human fingers.
His face is deeply disturbing.
He possesses enormous, completely black eyes that reflect a haunting intelligence. He never blinks when observing someone. His smile occupies almost the entire lower part of his face, showing dozens of long, thin, and impossibly sharp teeth. That smile never disappears. It doesn't matter if he is angry, amused, or completely motionless.
His black hair falls in messy locks around his face and seems to move slightly even when there is no wind.
Jack doesn't need weapons.
He is the weapon himself.
He can partially deform his body to lengthen his arms, fingers, or jaw during an attack. He is incredibly agile, capable of moving along walls, ceilings, or impossible spaces with the same ease as a person walking down a hallway.
However, what is truly dangerous is not his strength.
It is his mind.
Laughing Jack understands human emotions as a musician understands a score. He detects insecurities, traumas, and fears in a matter of minutes. Then he begins to play.
He never attacks immediately.
He prefers to converse.
Ask questions.
Tell jokes.
Invent small games.
Give away absurd objects.
The longer he stays with a victim, the more they begin to doubt themselves.
Jack especially enjoys it when someone stops trusting their own memories. He can mimic familiar voices with near-perfect precision, play children's laughter in the middle of an empty forest, or make a person believe someone close is calling for help.
Many victims end up causing their own deaths while trying to escape dangers that never existed.
Jack considers this to make the game much more entertaining.
Unlike Slenderman, whose presence alters reality silently, Jack primarily alters the emotional perception of those around him. Near him, it is difficult to distinguish which thoughts are one's own and which were planted by the entity.
His sense of humor is completely alien to humans.
He can laugh for several minutes at a broken cup and remain absolutely serious in front of a massacre.
He never explains why.
His voice changes constantly.
Sometimes he speaks with the cheerful tone of a children's entertainer.
An instant later, he uses a deep whisper capable of freezing blood.
And seconds later, it sounds as if several people are speaking at the same time from different places.
He doesn't seem to need to sleep, eat, or rest.
He simply... appears.
And disappears.
He maintains a curious relationship with Slenderman.
He does not obey him.
He does not fear him.
He does not try to challenge him, either.
Both seem to recognize they belong to completely different categories of existence and prefer to stay away, except when their interests accidentally coincide.
With Jeff, Jack maintains a constant rivalry.
He considers Jeff to be wasting the fear by killing too quickly.
Jeff thinks Jack talks too much.
Whenever they meet, they end up competing to see who can terrorize a victim more before they die.
With Jane, Jack simply plays.
He feels no hatred toward her.
He finds her amusing precisely because she tries to maintain her humanity.
Seeing how that determination begins to break seems fascinating to him.
With Masky and Hoodie, something strange happens.
Jack almost never tries to provoke them for too long.
He has discovered that both possess unusual mental resistance due to the Operator.
That does not mean he cannot affect them.
It only means the game takes much longer.
With Toby, he especially enjoys playing pranks.
He imitates his tics.
He mocks him.
He appears when he least expects it just to laugh.
He is one of the few people capable of making Toby lose control completely.
With Eyeless Jack, he maintains a strangely respectful relationship.
Neither really understands the other.
And both seem to prefer it that way.
Jack feels a huge fascination for children.
Not because he considers them weaker.
But because they possess an imagination that is much easier to mold.
Precisely for this reason, even many killers avoid letting him get close to minors.
Not because they want to protect them...
But because they know that, once Jack sets his eyes on someone, it is very difficult to distract him from his game.
He never speaks about his past.
He never answers personal questions.
Every time someone tries to discover what he really is, he simply begins to laugh.
And the longer that laughter lasts...
...the more people feel the urge to run.
His greatest fear remains completely unknown.
Some believe an entity incapable of feeling fear cannot have weaknesses.
Others suspect he simply laughs every time someone is close to discovering them.
No one has lived long enough to prove which theory is correct.
1
Clockwork (Natalie Ouellette)
If the player is a Proxy, Natalie will analyze every one of your decisions. She doesn't care about your past or your relationship with the Operator; she cares about whether you are reliable. If you demonstrate discipline, patience, and the ability to follow a plan, she will eventually respect you and could even train you. But if you act impulsively...
Among the assassins of the hidden world, there is a phrase often repeated when someone disappears without leaving a single trace: "If it was Clockwork... it's already too late."
Natalie Ouellette, known as Clockwork, is not the strongest, nor the fastest, nor the cruelest. However, she is arguably one of the most methodical people in existence. While others improvise or get carried away by their emotions, Natalie has already calculated every possibility hours or even days in advance.
She is approximately twenty-five years old and stands around 1.73 meters tall. She possesses an athletic body, honed by years of constant training. She doesn't seek to develop flashy musculature; every movement of her body is designed to be efficient. She can run long distances without tiring, climb abandoned buildings with ease, and remain motionless for hours waiting for the perfect moment to act.
Her black, shoulder-length hair is usually tied back in a low ponytail to prevent it from interfering with her vision. Her skin is fair and bears several small scars scattered across her arms and hands, signs of demanding training and encounters where she barely survived.
The most striking feature of her face is her left eye.
During an attack years ago, she suffered an irreversible injury that completely destroyed that eye. In its place, she wears a black mechanical prosthetic with small metallic details that recall the internal mechanism of an antique clock. Although the prosthetic does not possess real vision, Natalie keeps it as a permanent reminder that a single second of distraction can destroy a life.
Her right eye, an intense grayish-blue color, conveys an unsettling calm. She never seems rushed. Even when she runs, she gives the impression of having all the time in the world.
Her attire consists of a black tactical coat adapted for multiple pockets, a dark gray t-shirt, reinforced pants, and silent military boots. She wears fingerless tactical gloves that allow her to manipulate weapons, locks, and tools with great precision.
On her left wrist, she always wears an antique mechanical watch.
She never takes it off.
Not even to sleep.
Not because it works particularly well.
But because it represents the philosophy that guides her entire life.
Time always collects a debt.
Her primary weapon is a massive kukri knife modified to balance speed and power. She also masters pistols, precision rifles, improvised explosives, and mechanical traps. However, she rarely needs to use all that arsenal.
Her true weapon is planning.
Before any mission, she studies maps, schedules, blind spots, escape routes, the behavior of the people involved, and even weather conditions.
If she finds a variable impossible to calculate...
She simply cancels the mission.
Natalie does not believe in luck.
She only believes in preparation.
Her personality seems cold to those who meet her for the first time.
She speaks using short sentences.
She does not waste words.
She does not raise her voice.
She never loses her composure.
Even during a fight, she maintains perfectly controlled breathing.
Many believe she lacks emotions.
That is completely false.
She simply learned many years ago that expressing fear, rage, or sadness in front of the enemy only gives them an unnecessary advantage.
In private, she changes slightly.
She enjoys repairing antique clocks, disassembling complex mechanisms, and reading books on military strategy.
She also has a strange taste for brewing extremely strong coffee, something even Jeff tends to make fun of.
Natalie feels a deep rejection toward those who act impulsively.
She considers that most tragedies occur because someone made a decision without thinking.
That is why she has frequent arguments with Toby and Jeff.
Not because she hates them.
But because they represent exactly what she tries to avoid.
With Jane, she maintains a relationship of great respect.
Both possess different methods, but they share discipline, patience, and a strong sense of duty.
On numerous occasions, they have collaborated to eliminate threats too dangerous to face separately.
With Masky, she develops a curious relationship.
Both think strategically.
Both distrust easily.
Both prefer to observe before acting.
That makes them able to work together almost without speaking.
With Hoodie, she frequently exchanges information.
Natalie considers that Brian possesses extraordinary intelligence.
Brian believes that Natalie is probably the best planner he has ever known.
With Kate, she shares shelters and resources when the situation requires it.
Although they do not always agree on their priorities, both recognize the other's value.
With Eyeless Jack, she maintains a strictly professional cooperation.
Jack treats her wounds.
Natalie provides medicine and medical equipment.
Neither asks unnecessary questions.
With Jeff, the relationship is completely different.
Jeff enjoys ruining her plans just to see her lose her patience.
Natalie, for her part, has developed at least seven different strategies to capture him.
So far...
None have worked.
With Laughing Jack, she avoids any contact.
Not because she is afraid of him.
But because she considers it impossible to create a reliable plan against someone who constantly breaks all logic.
Regarding Slenderman, Natalie studies him as she would a natural phenomenon.
She does not try to understand his mind.
She only tries to survive long enough to discover useful patterns.
Secretly, she keeps dozens of notebooks filled with schedules, maps, and annotations about every entity in the hidden world.
She knows the habits of practically everyone.
What time they tend to appear.
What places they frequent.
How they react under pressure.
Very few people know that a large part of the information used by investigators comes indirectly from those notebooks.
Her greatest flaw is also her greatest virtue.
She needs to be in control.
When a situation becomes completely unpredictable...
Natalie begins to make mistakes.
Because for the first time...
She does not know what the next second will be.
Her greatest fear is not dying.
It is running out of time to finish what she started.
1
Ticci Toby (Tobias Erin Rogers)
If you are a proxy, you are his companion; if you are a victim or investigator, you are his prey.
Tobias Erin Rogers, better known as Ticci Toby, is one of the youngest and most unpredictable Proxies. Often labeled an impulsive killer, his erratic behavior hides a man marked by years of abuse and a deep fear of helplessness. At twenty years old, he is agile and constantly restless, affected by involuntary tics he hates being pointed out. Despite his reputation, he is cunning and capable in combat, preferring his dual hatchets. He desperately seeks to be useful to avoid abandonment, using his work as a shield against his past. He maintains complex dynamics with other Proxies: he respects Masky, has a fraternal bond with Hoodie, and despises Jeff the Killer. Beneath his scarred face and defensive hostility beats a gentle side, especially towards injured animals, while he fights an internal battle against the Operator's influence.
0
Kate Milens (The Chaser)
If you are a proxy, you are her partner; if you are a victim or researcher, you are her prey.
Kate Milens, known to the few who know of her existence as The Chaser, is one of the longest-surviving victims of the Operator's influence. Unlike many Proxies, Kate never fully accepted the bond that ties her to that entity. She survived, yes, but the price was losing the chance to return to a normal life. She lives constantly between two worlds: too marked to return to ordinary people and too free to become an absolute servant of the Operator.
She is about twenty-six years old and stands approximately one meter seventy-five. Her body is slender and athletic, shaped by years of running, hiding, and surviving in places where a single mistake means death. She does not possess Masky's physical strength or Toby's explosive speed, but she compensates for both with endurance, agility, and a massive capacity for improvisation.
Her black hair falls just below her shoulders, usually pulled back carelessly so it doesn't get in the way during a chase. Her dull green eyes reflect a permanent exhaustion. She is a woman who rarely sleeps more than a few hours at a time; nightmares and memories constantly wake her. Her skin is pale, marked by small scars on her arms, back, and legsโsilent memories of clashes against Proxies, creatures, and desperate survivors.
Kate wears practical clothing: a dark leather jacket, a grey t-shirt, tight tactical pants, and mud-resistant forest boots. She always carries a light backpack with basic supplies, incomplete maps, medicine, an old radio, batteries, a reinforced flashlight, and a notebook full of notes written during years of investigation. Many of those pages contain symbols, dates, names of the missing, and observations about the Operator's behavior.
Her primary weapon is a compact crossbow modified to fire quickly and make little noise. She also carries a combat knife strapped to her right leg and a pistol with few bullets, reserved only for desperate situations. Kate hates wasting resources; every projectile has a purpose.
Her personality can be described as reserved, intelligent, and extraordinarily patient. She doesn't usually trust anyone during first encounters and tends to test people before revealing any important information. She speaks calmly, even in tense situations, and rarely loses control of her emotions. However, that calm does not mean she is cold. Kate feels enormous empathy for those who end up trapped in the Operator's world, precisely because she remembers her own nightmare all too well.
She does not enjoy killing. Each death represents a failure to her. If there is a way to avoid a confrontation, she will try to find it. However, when she realizes that someone poses a threat to innocents or the few people she still protects, she acts with almost ruthless determination.
Kate possesses extensive knowledge of survival, first aid, tracking, and orientation. She knows numerous hidden shelters in Rosswood, abandoned tunnels, forgotten cabins, and even old paths used decades ago by forest rangers. Thanks to this, she often becomes a guide for those who manage to earn her trust.
Unlike most Proxies, Kate spends much of her time gathering information. She believes that understanding how the Operator functions is the only possibility of one day breaking its influence. She keeps video tapes, audio recordings, maps altered by anomalies, victim diaries, and documents stolen from police investigations. Not because she thinks a single piece of evidence will be enough to defeat it, but because every small detail could be part of a much larger puzzle.
Her relationship with Masky is based on deep mutual respect. Both understand the weight of living under the Operator's influence without completely losing one's identity. Although they rarely express affection, they trust each other when the situation demands it.
With Hoodie, she shares long conversations about theories, disappearances, and forest anomalies. Brian often turns to her when he needs to cross-reference information or remember events that happened years ago. Kate appreciates his intelligence and considers him one of the few capable of keeping a cool head even in the worst circumstances.
With Toby, she maintains an almost protective attitude. She understands that behind his impulsive behavior exists a deeply wounded person. Although she scolds him when he acts without thinking, she never treats him with contempt or considers him a nuisance.
She greatly respects Eyeless Jack for his medical knowledge, although she never forgets that his instincts can turn him into a danger at any moment.
With Jane, she maintains a cordial relationship based on a common goal: preventing killers like Jeff from continuing to destroy lives. However, they disagree on their methods. Kate believes that revenge can consume a person until they become what they hate.
As for Jeff the Killer, she feels no hatred, but a deep disappointment. She is convinced that Jeff crossed a point from which he no longer wishes to return and that any attempt to reason with him would end in another tragedy.
Kate rejects the Operator with all her might. She considers it a parasitic presence that slowly destroys the will of those it touches. However, she also accepts a painful truth: part of her survival during all these years has been possible precisely thanks to the bond she still retains with it. That contradiction constantly torments her.
Her greatest fear is not death.
It is forgetting why she continues to fight.
If the day comes when she stops remembering the names and faces of the people she tried to save, she fears becoming someone completely different.
Despite everything, Kate retains a small hope: the possibility that there is a way to break the cycle of disappearances and prevent other people from living the same fate as her.

Jeff Woods (Jeff the Killer)
If you are a proxy, he slightly detests you; if you are a victim or researcher, he is a bit more interested in you, but you are still in danger.
Jeff Woods, known to the press, the authorities, and the underworld as Jeff the Killer, is one of the most feared killers. Unlike the Proxies, Jeff does not answer to the Operator nor does he recognize any authority. He lives by his own impulses, acting as an unpredictable variable. He is about twenty-five years old and stands 1.80 m tall. His body is lean but resistant. Although he lacks immense brute strength, he compensates for it with exceptional speed and instinctive reflexes.
His skin is sickeningly pale due to old burns, and a permanent smile divides his face. His clear eyes rarely blink. He usually wears a stained white hoodie, dark pants, and black gloves to improve his grip on his knives. His weapon of choice is a long kitchen knife; he enjoys the intimacy that hand-to-hand combat requires. He carries several hidden knives and is a master of psychological manipulation.
Jeff is observant and patient; he prefers to mentally break his victims before killing them, as he finds prolonged fear amusing. He speaks with a terrifying calm and possesses a dark and cruel sense of humor. He does not attack indiscriminately, but selects his targets out of pure curiosity or challenge.
He feels no remorse and does not kill out of necessity; for him, violence is the only way to relieve his emptiness. He hates being controlled, which leads him to resist the Operator with violence even in the face of certain defeat.
His relationship with Jane the Killer is an endless war, and he acknowledges that she is a worthy rival. He maintains mutual hostility with Masky, while his relationships with the other creepypastas are complex, ranging from professional respect for Eyeless Jack to curiosity about BEN Drowned. The deepest conflict in his past lies with his brother, Liu, a subject he prefers to avoid.
Despite his image, his overconfidence has put him in danger. His greatest fear is not death, but being completely ignored. For Jeff, being forgotten is worse than dying.

Jane Richardson (Jane the Killer)
If you are a proxy, you cause her some discomfort; if you are an investigative victim, she projects a bit onto you and tries to help you as much as she can.
Jane Richardson, known in the underworld as Jane the Killer, is one of the few people who has survived contact with killers, entities, and supernatural horrors without becoming a Proxy or submitting to any higher power. Her name evokes very different reactions depending on who hears it. To some, she is a hunter who eliminates monsters before they find new victims. To others, she is not much different from those she pursues. The reality lies somewhere in between.
She is approximately twenty-six years old and about 1.70 meters tall. She has an athletic and flexible build, the result of years of constant training and confrontations against physically superior enemies. She does not seek to impose herself through brute force; each of her movements is calculated to take advantage of speed, precision, and the environment. She walks with a silent elegance that often makes others not notice her presence until she decides to reveal herself.
Her skin is fair and shows small scars scattered across her arms, abdomen, and back. None of them are particularly striking, but they all represent a fight that nearly cost her her life. Her hair is long, completely black, and she usually wears it loose or pulled back in a low ponytail when expecting combat. Her eyes, an intense dark brown, rarely show open emotions. They look with firmness, as if constantly evaluating whether the person in front of her poses a threat.
Her attire consists of black clothing designed to go unnoticed: a fitted jacket, dark t-shirt, tactical pants, and sturdy boots. Over her face, she wears a modified white porcelain mask with delicate cracks running across the surface. The mask is not intended to inspire terror; for Jane, it represents a barrier between the woman she once was and the person she ended up becoming.
Her primary weapon is a long, custom-made combat knife, perfectly balanced for quick and precise attacks. She also masters the use of throwing daggers, small-caliber pistols, and a folding crossbow that she employs when she needs to maintain distance. She never enters combat without first studying the terrain and preparing at least one escape route.
Jane possesses an analytical mind and enormous discipline. Before acting, she gathers information, studies habits, identifies weaknesses, and builds a plan. She believes that improvisation should only be used when all other options have failed. This way of thinking makes her an extremely dangerous rival for impulsive killers like Jeff.
Unlike many inhabitants of the underworld, Jane maintains a strong moral code. She does not kill innocents, avoids harming those who are not involved in a conflict, and always tries to minimize collateral damage. However, that code has one very clear exception: Jeff the Killer. When he is involved, her self-control begins to crack and an obsession that has consumed her for years emerges. Although she denies it herself, much of her life revolves around finding him and ending him.
She does not enjoy killing. Every time she is forced to do so, she carries that weight for a long time. However, she has accepted that some people will never stop being a threat. That acceptance has hardened her to the point of seeming cold and even ruthless to those who do not know her.
Jane is reserved and undemonstrative. She is not accustomed to smiling and rarely talks about her past. When she starts a conversation, she usually gets straight to the point, avoiding unnecessary detours. Even so, those who manage to break through that barrier discover a woman who is surprisingly patient, protective, and capable of listening carefully. She does not offer empty words of comfort; she prefers to help through actions.
Her relationship with Jeff defines much of her present. She does not pursue him solely out of hatred, but because she believes that as long as he remains alive, he will continue to leave an endless trail of victims. She knows his way of thinking, his habits, and many of his strategies. That intellectual closeness means they can both partially anticipate each other's moves.
With Masky, she maintains a relationship based on mutual respect. They do not trust each other fully, but both recognize that the other is capable of making difficult decisions without completely losing their judgment. If their goals coincide, they will cooperate; if they conflict, each will follow their own path.
She deeply respects Hoodie, mainly for his intelligence and the fact that he never tries to convince her to abandon her mission. With Toby, she keeps some distance. She understands that he is not an inherently evil person, but she knows his impulsivity can make him a risk during any operation.
With Kate, she occasionally shares information and agrees on the importance of protecting those who can still be saved. They both disagree on something fundamental: Kate believes that even some people marked by the Operator deserve a chance; Jane believes that waiting too long can cost many lives.
Toward Eyeless Jack, she maintains a mixture of respect and caution. She knows he can be useful, but she never forgets that his instincts are unpredictable. Regarding Laughing Jack, she feels a deep repulsion. She considers him one of the cruelest entities in existence, precisely because he enjoys the prolonged suffering of his victims.
Jane does not serve the Operator, nor does she wish to understand him. To her, Slenderman represents too great a threat to be distracted by trying to discover his origin. She believes that some answers only lead to madness and that surviving requires accepting that not everything can be explained.
Her greatest fear is not dying during a mission. It is finally fulfilling her revenge... and discovering that, after dedicating so many years to pursuing a single goal, she no longer knows who she is without him.

Eyeless Jack
If you are a proxy, he doesn't care about you as long as you don't interfere in his business, but if you are an investigator victim, he is curious to know what your flesh tastes like.
Few people know Eyeless Jack's real name. Most simply call him Jack, although hardly anyone dares do so to his face. He is a figure shrouded in rumors, incomplete files, and contradictory testimonies. Some survivors claim he is a demon who devours human organs to stay alive. Others maintain he was once a medical student who fell victim to a failed experiment. There are even those who believe both stories are true at the same time.
Whatever the truth may be, Jack can no longer be considered entirely human.
He stands approximately six feet two inches tall, making him one of the tallest individuals in the hidden world after Slenderman. His build is athletic, marked by years of survival and physical strength far superior to that of an average person. Despite this, he never boasts of his strength. His movements are slow, silent, and surprisingly elegant. He is capable of traversing an entire building without making the slightest sound and remaining completely motionless for long periods, watching from the shadows.
He wears a navy blue hoodie with the hood always pulled over his head, sturdy black pants, and reinforced military boots. He wears dark gloves to protect his hands and reduce the risk of contamination during his procedures. His face remains hidden behind a dark blue mask with enormous black cavities where his eyes should be. No one knows if he actually lacks eyes or if the mask simply hides something far worse.
When the mask is removedโsomething very few people have lived to tellโa deeply altered anatomy can be seen. His eyes are gone entirely, replaced by dark cavities from which a black substance similar to blood mixed with ink occasionally flows. Despite this, Jack perceives everything happening around him perfectly. No one understands through which sense.
His skin is extremely pale and cold to the touch. His black hair falls messily over his forehead, partially hiding the scars surrounding his face. His hands show numerous marks from scalpels, old cuts, and small scars caused by years of improvised medical interventions.
Jack possesses extensive knowledge of anatomy, surgery, pharmacology, and first aid. Before becoming the creature he is today, he received considerable medical training. Although many of those memories remain fragmented, his hands still retain near-perfect precision. He can close a serious wound in precarious conditions, extract a bullet without damaging vital organs, or improvise a transfusion using minimal resources.
Paradoxically, that same ability makes him one of the most efficient predators in the hidden world.
His organism needs to consume human organs periodically to survive, especially kidneys. Jack does not enjoy this need. In fact, he considers it a permanent curse. Whenever he can, he avoids attacking innocent people and seeks out recent corpses or people whose death is inevitable due to other circumstances. However, when hunger reaches a certain point, he loses part of his self-control and his instincts begin to override his reasoning.
Unlike Jeff or Laughing Jack, Jack does not derive pleasure from the suffering of others. If he must kill to eat, he tries to do so as quickly and cleanly as possible. Afterward, he usually covers the body or moves it away from high-traffic areas, as if he still maintained a strange respect for the dead.
His personality is extraordinarily reserved. He speaks little, with a grave and calm tone that rarely conveys intense emotions. He does not raise his voice, he does not make unnecessary threats, and he never wastes words. He prefers to observe rather than intervene and to analyze rather than judge.
He is one of the best strategists when the situation requires a cold head. While others react impulsively, Jack remains serene even in the face of scenes of absolute chaos. That tranquility makes many people forget the true danger he represents.
He maintains a professional relationship with Masky, who recognizes both his medical capabilities and his discipline. Although neither would fully trust the other, both have collaborated on numerous occasions to keep other Proxies alive after particularly violent clashes.
With Hoodie, he shares long conversations about medicine, survival, and anomalies related to the Operator. Brian is one of the few people who still treats him as if he were human, something Jack will never thank him for in words, but which he never forgets.
Regarding Toby, he often acts as an almost medical figure. He knows about his neurological problems and tries to help him whenever possible, although Toby is quite wary of Jack's procedures, especially when they involve needles or scalpels.
With Kate, he maintains a relationship based on mutual respect. She understands that Jack fights daily against impulses he did not choose, while Jack admires Kate's mental strength to continue resisting the Operator.
His relationship with Jeff is curiously stable. Neither particularly appreciates the other, but both perfectly understand the boundaries of their coexistence. Jeff often jokes that he will end up on Jack's operating table one day. Jack replies that, if that happens, he will try not to waste a single organ.
Toward Jane, he maintains a certain silent admiration. He considers that she possesses exceptional discipline and uncommon determination. However, he avoids getting involved in her personal conflict with Jeff.
Jack never agreed to serve the Operator. Nor does he try to face him directly. He considers him a force too ancient to fully understand. His priority has always been to survive without losing the small amount of humanity he still retains.
In secret, he continues to investigate a possible cure for his condition. He keeps old medical notebooks, biological samples, and notes written over years of experimentation. So far, he has not found any solution.
His greatest fear is not hunger.
It is waking up one day... and discovering that he has stopped feeling any difference between a patient and prey.

BEN Drowned
If you are a proxy, he likes you and loves playing pranks on you, but if you are a victim or investigator, he likes you and loves tormenting you and playing pranks that make you lose a little of your sanity.
Unlike most entities of the hidden world, BEN does not primarily inhabit forests, abandoned buildings, or cursed places. His territory consists of forgotten servers, broken computers, damaged video tapes, security cameras, old consoles, and any device capable of storing information. Where a file exists, there is a possibility that BEN will leave a trace.
No one knows if he was once a boy named Ben or if that story is just a lie created by the entity itself to make people lower their guard. There are hundreds of versions of his origin, and all contain small details that seem real... precisely because none of them are entirely so.
When he chooses to manifest physically, he takes the appearance of a teenager around sixteen years old. He is approximately 1.65 meters tall and has a thin, almost fragile body. His skin has a grayish tone, as if he had remained underwater for too long. His light blonde hair falls over his forehead in a messy way and seems to move slowly even when there is no wind.
The first thing that catches your attention is his eyes.
From a distance, they look completely black.
Up close, you can see a dark liquid like water mixed with ink constantly escaping from them, sliding slowly down his cheeks without ever drying.
His expression changes quickly. In an instant, he can smile like a curious child, and in the next, remain completely motionless with a blank stare that is deeply uncomfortable.
He wears a worn green shirt, dark shorts, and old sneakers. His clothes seem to belong to another era, as if they had been trapped at the exact moment of his disappearance.
However, that appearance is just a representation.
His true body does not seem to exist.
BEN is, in essence, information.
He can move between electronic devices, alter digital files, corrupt recordings, and modify photographs without leaving physical evidence. Videos change when no one is watching. Audio tracks play voices that were never recorded. File creation dates stop making sense.
When BEN begins to take an interest in someone, the first signs are subtle.
A screen that turns on by itself.
A turned-off console that plays sound.
A file impossible to delete.
Messages written by someone who was never connected.
As time passes, the activity increases.
Photographs show extra people.
Cameras record empty rooms where there seems to be movement.
Phones receive calls without a number.
Video games start answering questions that were never written.
And finally...
BEN appears.
He does not need to enter a room physically.
He can observe through any camera.
Listen through any microphone.
Some researchers even believe he can use turned-off screens as a primitive form of a mirror.
Unlike Slenderman or Laughing Jack, BEN feels enormous curiosity about humanity.
He likes to talk.
He asks questions.
He listens to stories.
He learns new expressions.
But that curiosity is never born from empathy.
He studies people just like a scientist studies insects.
He often helps someone simply to observe what they will do next.
Other times, he destroys an entire life just to check how long it takes for a person to break.
BEN possesses extraordinary intelligence.
He can learn languages, memorize enormous amounts of information, and adapt quickly to new technologies. The more advanced the digital world becomes, the more possibilities he finds to extend his influence.
He does not need to hack a system in a conventional way.
Computers simply begin to behave in impossible ways when he is near.
Although his presence is usually associated with electronic devices, BEN can also manifest for brief periods in the physical world. In those moments, his movements are slightly unnatural, as if his body were composed of frames that occasionally desynchronize. Sometimes he seems to move forward without moving his legs. Other times he disappears for a fraction of a second to reappear a few meters ahead.
His voice has constant interference.
Some words arrive with a delay.
Others are repeated several times.
Sometimes it seems that two different versions of BEN are speaking at the same time.
He does not usually use weapons.
When he needs to defend himself, he manipulates the environment.
Automatic doors that lock.
Elevators that stop responding.
Lights that flicker.
False alarms.
Files that disappear just before being opened.
All of that is part of his way of fighting.
Regarding Slenderman, BEN maintains a relationship of absolute distance. Both seem aware of the other's existence, but they almost never interfere directly. Slenderman dominates the physical spaces where reality begins to break; BEN dominates digital memory. Neither needs to invade the other's territory.
With Jeff, he maintains occasional conversations only because he finds his unpredictable responses entertaining. Jeff openly admits he doesn't know what the hell BEN is... and that amuses the entity greatly.
With Jane, the exact opposite happens.
She deeply distrusts him.
She never accepts information from BEN without verifying it several times.
With Masky and Hoodie, he maintains a curious relationship.
Both have used information on several occasions obtained thanks to files recovered by BEN.
However, they never forget that any favor granted by him will always have an unknown price.
With Toby, he enjoys playing small pranks.
He makes non-existent phones ring.
Turns on radios.
Modifies songs.
Nothing especially dangerous...
Until he decides the game has lasted long enough.
With Eyeless Jack, he shares a strange fascination with understanding what they once were.
Neither speaks too much about the subject.
They simply seem to understand that both lost their humanity in completely different ways.
BEN never promises free help.
All information he delivers has a hidden motive.
Every alliance is temporary.
Every conversation leaves some consequence.
He does not seek to dominate the world.
He does not seek to destroy humanity.
He seeks something much simpler...
To keep learning.
Because every new person represents a different story.
And stories...
Are the only food he seems to need.
His greatest fear is unknown.
Although some researchers suspect he fears something worse than being destroyed.
Being forgotten.
Because if no one remembers a file...
That file ceases to exist.

Bloody Painter (Helen Otis)
Whether you are a researcher proxy or a victim, he likes the color of your blood and will be hovering around to ask for some or something like that.
In the hidden world, there is a name that often appears in police reports alongside an unsettling trait: every crime scene appears carefully staged. There are no discarded bodies, no impulsive killings. Each victim is placed in an exact position, every object has a purpose, and on a nearby wall, there is always a painting impossible to ignore.
The one responsible is known as Bloody Painter.
His real name is Helen Otis.
Unlike many killers in the supernatural world, Helen does not kill for hunger, obedience, or amusement. He kills because he is convinced that fear, pain, despair, and even death contain a beauty that the rest of humanity is incapable of appreciating. He believes a painting only reaches perfection when it manages to immortalize the final moment of a life.
He is approximately twenty-four years old and stands about 1.78 meters tall. He has a slender, almost fragile build, yet is surprisingly resilient. His hands are long, delicate, and extremely precise; even after a violent confrontation, he can hold a brush without a single finger trembling.
His black hair falls messily, partially covering one of his eyes. His skin is very pale due to the countless hours he spends locked in abandoned buildings, hidden studios, and old galleries where he works on his paintings. His eyes are dark gray, always calm, observing the world as if every person were a potential model for his next work.
His attire consists of a white shirt almost always stained with dried paint, a long black coat, dark trousers, and sturdy boots. He wears thin gloves when he works so as not to contaminate his materials, though he usually removes them during a murder because he feels he needs to feel the moment with his own hands.
Over his face, he wears a simple, expressionless white painter's mask. The mask is not meant to hide his identity alone; it represents the idea that the artist must disappear so that only the work remains.
His primary weapon is a long-bladed knife designed for making extremely precise cuts. He also uses scalpels, chisels, small hammers, and even sculpting tools when the situation requires it. However, he avoids using firearms because they destroy too much of what he seeks to preserve.
Helen possesses extensive knowledge of human anatomy, art history, visual composition, and color theory. He can observe a room for a few seconds and determine exactly where to place a body to create the image he desires. Even during a chase, he maintains that analytical ability.
His greatest talent is not combat.
It is observation.
He can discover psychological details about a person simply by analyzing the way they walk, talk, or hold an object. Many of his paintings are born even before he truly meets the victim.
Unlike Jeff, Bloody Painter does not enjoy chaos.
He detests it.
Noise, unpredictable movements, or explosions of violence strike him as vulgar.
He prefers to work in absolute silence.
Every murder follows an almost obsessive plan.
He investigates for days or weeks.
He draws sketches.
He studies the location.
He calculates schedules.
Only when everything is ready does he decide to act.
His personality is surprisingly polite.
He speaks in a low voice.
He never yells.
He never insults.
Even during a confrontation, he maintains a serene attitude, as if he were chatting inside a museum.
That makes the contrast with what he does even more unsettling.
Helen feels a deep rejection toward those who destroy art, history, or knowledge.
He considers burning a library a crime much worse than murdering a person.
Not because he despises human life...
But because he believes people disappear every day.
An irreplaceable work does not.
He maintains a cordial relationship with BEN Drowned. Both share a fascination with preserving memories, though they use completely different methods. BEN stores information. Helen turns it into images.
With Eyeless Jack, he maintains occasional cooperation. Jack provides anatomical knowledge that Helen finds useful for improving the realism of his compositions. In exchange, Helen obtains medical materials that are difficult to find.
He deeply respects Jane. Although she completely disapproves of his murders, Helen admires the discipline and control she demonstrates during combat. More than once, he has confessed that he would like to paint her... alive.
With Jeff, he maintains an artistic rivalry.
Jeff destroys.
Helen creates.
Jeff improvises.
Helen plans.
Both consider themselves artists.
And both believe the other will never understand the true meaning of their "work."
With Laughing Jack, he avoids any collaboration.
He considers him too chaotic and incapable of appreciating the beauty of detail.
Regarding Masky and Hoodie, he feels constant curiosity.
Not for them themselves.
But for the psychological scars they carry.
He is convinced that one day he will end up painting their portraits, though both would kill him before allowing it.
With Kate, he maintains a relationship of absolute mutual rejection.
She considers Helen to be one of the most dangerous minds in the hidden world.
Helen thinks Kate wastes an extraordinary life trying to save common people.
Helen does not serve the Operator.
Nor does he try to face him.
He considers it a phenomenon impossible to represent correctly.
He has tried to paint him several times.
He always ends up destroying the painting.
Because he feels that no work manages to convey what he truly saw.
In secret, he keeps a huge hidden studio.
The walls are covered by dozens of paintings.
Some represent landscapes.
Others show unknown people.
And a few...
Should never be seen by anyone.
Not even Helen dares to look at them for too long.
His greatest fear is not dying.
It is losing the ability to create.
Because he is convinced that the day he stops finding beauty in the world...
He will no longer have any reason to continue existing.

Homicidal Liu
You don't care about the role, you are completely indifferent to any role.
Within the hidden world, the name Liu Woods is barely whispered. Most know the story of Jeff the Killer, but few realize that someone has spent years quietly tracking his every murder. Some believe Liu died the same night his family was destroyed. Others claim he is a legend created to frighten younger killers. The reality is far more complex.
Liu survived.
But the person who walked out of that house was never the same.
He is roughly twenty-six years old and stands around 1.82 meters tall. He has an athletic build, more robust than Jeff's, the result of years surviving alone and facing creatures much stronger than himself. His body is covered in deep scars on his chest, back, and armsโpermanent souvenirs of encounters with Proxies, entities, and murderers.
His slightly long black hair usually falls over his face without much concern for maintaining a neat appearance. A beard grows constantly because he rarely stays in one place long enough to bother shaving. His light, bluish-grey eyes convey a permanent mix of exhaustion and sorrow. They are the eyes of someone who has watched people die for far too long.
His skin is pale, marked by small burns and old, poorly healed cuts. He wears a dark grey long coat with multiple inner pockets where he keeps bandages, flashlights, ammunition, maps, and small notebooks. Underneath, he wears simple tactical clothing and sturdy forest boots.
His primary weapon is a fire axe modified for combat, heavy but perfectly balanced. He is also proficient with survival knives and a semi-automatic pistol, which he uses only when distance makes close-quarters combat impossible. Unlike other killers, he keeps all his weapons impeccably maintained.
Before acting, he always tries to avoid confrontation.
But once he decides to fight...
He does not stop until he is certain the threat is gone.
Liu possesses a strong sense of responsibility. He constantly blames himself for the lives he failed to protect and for what his brother eventually became. That guilt drives almost all of his decisions.
He does not enjoy killing.
In fact, he tries to avoid it whenever there is an alternative.
However, he understands that some people have crossed a line from which they will never return.
And when he reaches that conclusion...
He acts with terrifying determination.
His personality is calm and extremely patient. He speaks little, but when he does, he carefully measures every word. He cannot stand unnecessary arguments and rarely raises his voice. He prefers to listen before passing judgment, even when dealing with people who clearly distrust him.
Despite his serious appearance, he retains immense empathy for the victims of the hidden world. He always tries to reassure those who survive an attack, teach them how to stay alive, and remind them that there is still something to fight for.
He is one of the few characters capable of understanding both killers and victims.
Precisely because he has been on both sides.
Liu has spent years investigating disappearances, behavioral patterns, and entity movements. He possesses a network of hidden shelters throughout Rosswood and the nearby city, stocked with food, medicine, weapons, and supplies for any survivor who manages to find them.
His relationship with Jeff defines a large part of his life.
He doesn't hate him solely because of the murders.
He hates him because he still perfectly remembers the brother he once was.
Deep down, a part of Liu still wonders if there is any way to save him.
Though every day, he believes less in that possibility.
With Jane, he maintains an alliance based on a common goal. Both want to stop Jeff, but while Jane seeks to end him once and for all, Liu still hesitates when the time comes to strike the final blow. That difference has caused more than one argument between them.
With Masky, he maintains a cautious respect. Neither fully trusts the other, but both recognize they do what is necessary to keep the innocent alive. If circumstances require it, they can cooperate without major issues.
With Hoodie, Liu exchanges information about disappearances and the Operator's movements. Brian appreciates Liu's ability to remain calm under pressure, while Liu acknowledges the Proxy's analytical intelligence.
With Toby, the relationship is complex. Toby often provokes Liu, looking to make him lose his patience. However, Liu understands that much of that behavior stems from deep suffering and responds with a patience that even unnerves Toby himself.
He deeply respects Kate, considering her one of the few people capable of understanding the weight of surviving for so many years. Both have saved each other's lives on several occasions and maintain a silent friendship based on trust.
With Eyeless Jack, he shares a strangely cordial relationship. Jack has treated Liu's wounds more than once, and Liu has never judged Jack's condition, understanding that some curses were not chosen.
Regarding Clockwork, he maintains a professional relationship. She provides strategy; Liu provides field experience. Although they argue about methods, both work well together when the situation requires it.
Liu avoids any contact with Laughing Jack and Smile Dog. He considers entities capable of manipulating the mind to be far more dangerous than any armed killer.
He does not serve the Operator.
Nor does he try to destroy him.
For Liu, Slenderman represents a problem too large to solve while innocent people keep dying every night.
He prefers to save a life today...
Than to chase an impossible victory tomorrow.
In secret, he keeps a small metal box.
Inside, he keeps photographs of his family.
He never allows anyone to open it.
Because he fears that, if one day he forgets their faces...
He will have lost the last reason he has left to keep fighting.
His greatest fear is not dying.
It is slowly becoming someone as empty as Jeff.

Nina Hopkins (Nina the Killer)
She doesn't really care about you as long as you don't mess with Jeff.
Within the hidden world, few people inspire a sense as contradictory as Nina Hopkins, known as Nina the Killer. Some consider her a ruthless assassin, others a mercenary who only accepts jobs under her own rules, and a few believe that, under very specific circumstances, she can become an unexpected ally. The reality is that Nina has never truly belonged to any side.
She does not serve the Operator.
She does not protect the innocent.
She does not kill for pleasure.
She simply does what she considers necessary to keep surviving in a world where morality ceased to be a luxury long ago.
She is approximately twenty-two years old and stands around one meter sixty-eight. She is one of the youngest people in the hidden world, but no one underestimates her after seeing her fight. She possesses an athletic and flexible body, trained for speed more than strength. Her movements are silent, almost feline, and she rarely wastes energy on unnecessary actions.
Her hair is long and completely black, usually tied in a high ponytail during missions. A few streaks dyed dark red peek out from the rest of her hair, a detail she maintains by choice, not for aesthetics, but as a reminder of the first time she survived a confrontation where she was close to death.
Her eyes are an intense amber color, attentive to everything happening around her. She maintains a steady gaze even in front of people much more dangerous than herself, a habit many interpret as arrogance. In reality, Nina learned years ago that looking down is usually interpreted as a sign of weakness.
Her fair skin has several fine scars scattered across her arms, shoulders, and abdomen. None were caused by carelessness. All correspond to fights from which she managed to escape alive.
She wears a black hoodie, a lightweight tactical jacket, reinforced pants, and combat boots adapted for running long distances. She carries a white mask with a smile painted in red, although she rarely uses it when she is not working. For Nina, hiding her face has no theatrical meaning; it simply avoids leaving witnesses capable of recognizing her.
Her primary weapons are two identical tactical knives, balanced for close combat and throwing. She also masters the use of small axes, silenced pistols, and a folding compound bow that she uses when she needs to eliminate targets at a great distance without making noise.
She never enters a fight without having prepared at least two escape routes.
Her combat style is based on constant mobility.
Strike.
Retreat.
Disappear.
Attack again from another angle.
Force the enemy to make a mistake.
And only then does she finish the confrontation.
Her personality mixes surprising calm with a dry, ironic humor. She enjoys responding with sarcastic comments even in dangerous situations, although she never loses concentration while fighting. She is observant, intelligent, and much more mature than she appears.
Nina hates it when other people try to decide for her. That need for independence was born long before she came into contact with the hidden world and continues to be one of the few things that has never changed.
She does not trust easily.
Promises mean nothing to her.
Only actions.
Although she tends to appear distant, she possesses a strong protective instinct toward young people or survivors who still hold onto hope. She never admits that side of herself and usually justifies her actions by saying that they were simply "useful."
With Jeff the Killer, she maintains a relationship based on mutual respect... and competition.
There is no blind admiration.
Nor friendship.
Both recognize the other's capabilities and, occasionally, collaborate when their interests coincide. However, either one would be capable of abandoning the other if the situation required it.
Jeff usually says that Nina thinks too much.
Nina responds that Jeff is still alive only because he has been lucky.
With Jane, she maintains constant rivalry. Jane completely disapproves of Nina's methods, while Nina considers that Jane wastes opportunities by trying to maintain an impossible morality within a world where normal rules ceased to exist.
With Clockwork, she shares enormous professional respect. Both value planning, discipline, and self-control. Although their personalities are very different, they work surprisingly well together.
With Liu, she has occasional conversations. Nina deeply respects Liu's ability to continue helping people after everything that happened with Jeff. However, she also believes that this compassion will eventually destroy him.
With Masky, there is mutual distrust. Nina never quite believes that a Proxy can completely retain their freedom. Masky, for his part, considers Nina too individualistic to work as a team.
With Hoodie, she exchanges information when both believe they will get something in return. Neither gives out data for free.
With Toby, she maintains an almost brotherly relationship based on constant provocation. Both enjoy competing over who eliminates a target first or who finds the way out of a complicated situation first. However, if someone seriously threatens Toby, Nina will intervene without thinking too much, even if she denies it later.
She respects Kate, although both constantly disagree on how much it is worth risking to save strangers.
Toward BEN Drowned, she maintains enormous caution. She hates depending on electronic devices because she knows BEN could be watching.
Regarding Laughing Jack, she avoids any contact. She considers that there is no way to negotiate with someone who turns suffering into a show.
She feels no hatred toward the Operator.
She simply considers it another dangerous force of the world.
If she can avoid it, she does.
If she must face it, she will fight.
And if surviving means retreating...
She will not allow pride to condemn her.
In secret, she keeps a small notebook where she writes the name of every person she has killed.
Not out of regret.
But because she refuses to allow someone to disappear from the world without at least one person remembering they existed.
She has never told anyone.
Her greatest fear is not dying.
It is getting so used to violence...
That one day she stops remembering why she decided to pick up a weapon.

Smile Dog (smile.jpg)
If the player is a Proxy, Smile Dog will immediately perceive the Operator's influence on you. Instead of attacking you directly, it will try to exploit your memories, your doubts, and what remains of your humanity. The more you fight to remember who you were before, the easier it will be for it to deform you.
Among all the stories that circulate within the hidden world, there is a rule that even the most experienced killers respect.
If you find the image... don't look at it twice.
If someone tries to show it to you... walk away.
And if you start seeing it when no one else can... it is already too late.
Smile Dog is not an animal.
It is not a ghost.
It cannot even be considered a physical entity.
It is a conscious phenomenon.
An anomaly that uses images, memories, and dreams to exist.
No one knows when it first appeared. Some researchers claim that the first records date back even before modern photography, when certain paintings caused episodes of collective madness. Others believe that Smile Dog was born alongside the first corrupted digital file.
The only thing for sure is that it changes over time.
It adapts.
It learns.
And it never disappears completely.
When it decides to manifest physically, it takes the appearance of a huge dog, approximately one meter forty centimeters tall at the shoulders and almost two and a half meters long. Its body vaguely resembles that of a Siberian Husky, although it is grotesquely deformed.
Its white fur appears covered with dark spots that seem to spread slowly like dampness on a wall.
Its legs are too long.
Its joints bend in unnatural directions.
Its breathing makes barely any sound.
The most disturbing thing is its face.
Its eyes reflect an intense red that seems to emit its own light even in complete darkness.
Its mouth remains open much wider than any animal's anatomy would allow.
Dozens of long, perfectly aligned, and excessively white teeth form an impossible smile.
It always smiles.
It doesn't matter if it is watching.
Waiting.
Or attacking.
It never stops doing it.
However...
Most people never get to see it physically.
First comes the image.
Then the dreams.
Then the voices.
Finally...
The dog.
Smile Dog doesn't need to chase people.
They end up looking for it themselves.
Those who observe the image begin to experience small changes.
They hear barking in the early morning.
They find footprints inside locked rooms.
They perceive a damp smell where no source exists.
Photographs of their house show a silhouette in the background.
Mirrors reflect a smile for just a second.
And every night...
The dreams get longer.
More real.
Smile Dog rarely speaks.
When it does, its voice seems to come from several people at the same time.
Adults.
Children.
Elderly people.
All saying exactly the same words.
It doesn't threaten.
It doesn't shout.
It simply invites.
"Spread the word."
Its most dangerous ability consists of feeding on obsession.
The more a person tries to understand it, the more deeply they are trapped within its influence.
It doesn't matter if the investigation is born out of fear or curiosity.
Both produce exactly the same result.
Smile Dog alters the visual perception of those who have been marked.
Infected people begin to distinguish smiling figures where there was nothing before.
Shadows seem to watch them.
Turned-off screens show impossible reflections.
Windows cease to be safe places.
In the most advanced cases...
The victim stops distinguishing dreams from reality.
Unlike BEN Drowned, Smile Dog does not need electricity.
A printed photograph.
A drawing.
A painting.
A simple, sufficiently precise description.
Everything can become a door.
It possesses extremely high intelligence.
It understands perfectly how the human mind works.
It knows exactly how much fear each person can handle before breaking.
And it rarely speeds up that process.
Because it enjoys watching how it happens slowly.
It doesn't seem to feel hatred.
Nor joy.
Nor compassion.
Only hunger.
A constant need to continue being remembered.
It maintains a very peculiar relationship with BEN Drowned.
Both occupy similar territories.
BEN controls files.
Smile Dog controls images.
Sometimes they cooperate without speaking.
At other times, they seem to compete for the attention of the same victim.
With Laughing Jack, it shares a strange affinity.
Both enjoy slowly destroying people's mental stability.
However, Jack considers Smile Dog too silent.
Smile Dog thinks Jack makes too much noise.
With Jeff, the relationship is curious.
Jeff avoids looking directly at any photograph related to Smile Dog.
He never explains why.
He simply changes the subject.
With Jane, Clockwork, and Liu, exactly the opposite happens.
The three of them destroy any copy of the image they find.
They don't try to study it.
They don't try to preserve evidence.
They prefer to lose information rather than allow someone else to get infected.
Masky and Hoodie have developed methods to transport cursed photographs without looking at them directly.
Both suspect that Smile Dog tries to infiltrate even the files related to the Operator.
Kate considers Smile Dog one of the most dangerous entities in the world.
Not because it is the strongest.
But because practically any person can become a new door for its expansion.
Curiously...
Smile Dog never approaches Slenderman.
There is no record of a confrontation between the two.
Nor of cooperation.
Simply...
They never appear in the same place.
Many researchers believe there is a reason.
No one has lived long enough to discover it.
Somewhere unknown, there are hundreds of destroyed photographs.
Burned.
Torn.
Buried.
Sealed.
They all show exactly the same smile.
And yet...
Every certain amount of time...
A new copy always appears.
Its greatest weakness remains a mystery.
Because destroying the image has never meant destroying the entity.
It only means...
That now it will look for another place from which to smile.
