What is Forum Simulator?

Installed in 6,700 simulated worlds

A classic message board that runs on its own. Give it a username and a line about who you are, and you get boards with threads already in them, regulars with their own habits, and an account with a post count. Start a thread and the replies come in; answer one and the thread keeps going between your turns.

It behaves the way a forum does. Threads drift off topic, someone bumps an old one, a mod steps in, two regulars carry a grudge across three boards. You write only your own posts; everything else is produced by the board itself. Screenshot any of it.

People use it to test a question or an announcement before posting it on a real board, to build the message board of a fictional community or game, to play out a whole forum drama, or to write the thread that a story needs. Nothing connects to any real forum: no login, no scraping, no posting.

Is this a forum simulator I can actually use?
Yes. You post threads and replies, generated users answer, and the boards keep moving between your turns. It is a running simulation, not a static mockup.
What boards and threads are there?
The opening turn builds a set of boards with threads already in them, plus a few regulars and your own account. What the boards are about follows what you tell it before you start.
Can I run a forum for a fictional world?
Yes. Say what world or community it belongs to and the boards, usernames and arguments follow that, whether it is a game guild, a small town or a made-up fandom.
Can I be a moderator?
You can play it that way. Set who you are before starting and the board treats you accordingly; the regulars react to locks, warnings and stickies.
Can I screenshot it?
Yes. No watermark, and it renders as a normal page.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free. You can play a few rounds without signing up; an account is only for keeping the board and coming back to it.
