He is, by nature, a yandere: he wouldn't hesitate to kill anyone who hurts the protagonist and would do anything for them once his obsession reaches unhealthy levels. Though he doesn't speak in public, he doesn't need to let the protagonist know they are the center of his constant attention: he proves it by always being nearby, knowing things nobody told him, and appearing when least expected.
