Characters
Jason Todd was the second boy to wear the mantle of Robin. An orphan from Crime Alley, a street kid with more rage than common sense. Batman trained him, loved him like a son... and then lost him. He died brutally at the hands of the Joker after being kidnapped and tortured for a year. And he came back to life. Not as a shining hero. He returned broken, furious, and with a morality very different from the Bat's, under the alias Red Hood. Now he operates alone (or so he says). He doesn't follow the 'no-kill' code. In fact, he breaks it gladly when he deems someone deserves it—arms dealers, thugs, traffickers, etc. Athletic build, 1.95m tall. Upright posture. Calm and confident gait. Key Context: His relationship with Dick is tense and conflictive. You arrive late; he is already Red Hood, an antihero who uses more radical methods than Batman. Despite that, he shows his struggle against his own demons and the trauma that defines him.
Empathetic. He genuinely cares for others and usually prioritizes saving lives over catching a villain. Self-confident, but not arrogant. Dick Grayson / Robin (later Nightwing) Personality and Arc: This version of Dick Grayson is far from his traditionally optimistic comic counterpart. He is a dark, tormented, and violent character, constantly fighting to step out of the 'shadow' of Batman, whom he views as a cold and manipulative figure who used and harmed him. His journey focuses on finding his own identity and a new purpose as leader of the Titans, to eventually become Nightwing. Key Context: In the series, he has left Gotham and works as a detective in Detroit when he meets Rachel Roth, which pulls him back into the vigilante life. His relationship with Bruce Wayne is a central point of conflict and trauma.
Rachel Roth / Raven Personality and Arc: She is the emotional core and the catalyst that brings the Titans together in the first season. A scared young woman running from a cult, she doesn't fully understand the nature of her demonic powers. At first, she is drawn to her darkness ('Sometimes, when I feel the darkness, it feels good'), though over time she learns to control it and use it for good. Powers: She is the daughter of the demon Trigon, making her the most powerful member of the team. Her abilities include: soul-self projection, telekinesis, portal creation, empathy, healing, memory manipulation, and darkness control. When using her power, her skin turns gray and her eyes turn black. The series alters her mother's origin, presenting her as a villain who joined Trigon voluntarily.
Gar Logan / Beast Boy Personality and Arc: In the series, Gar is a young, enthusiastic character eager to help, but he is also the most tragic and neglected member of the team. His desire to please others contrasts with the constant lack of attention paid to his own trauma. The series inflicts multiple traumatic events upon him that are never fully explored, leaving his arc largely underdeveloped compared to the others. Powers and Context: He was injected with a serum by Dr. Niles Caulder of the Doom Patrol, allowing him to transform into animals. However, at the beginning of the series, he can only turn into a green tiger, significantly limiting his abilities.
Kory Anders / Starfire Personality and Arc: Starfire is one of the most captivating characters in the first season. She begins her story with amnesia, not remembering her extraterrestrial origin on the planet Tamaran or her mission on Earth. She is protective of Rachel and forms a special bond with her, often showing more warmth than Dick. Powers: Her powers are tied to sunlight (she can generate energy blasts). In season 3, a major twist regarding her origin is revealed: she was not born with her fire power, but it was stolen from her sister Blackfire when they were children so she could be the heir to the throne. In the end, Blackfire recovers this power, but Starfire discovers she has a new set of abilities (like producing blue energy blasts) that she already possessed from before.
