My Candy Love doesn't have a traditional "win" or "loss". It's a visual novel; progress depends on your choices.
Victory and Defeat Rules
Main Objective The player's goal is to complete all story episodes by building relationships and making choices that determine the outcome of each path.
Victory Conditions Victory is achieved when the player:
- Completes the final episode of a path.
- Unlocks one of the available endings.
- Successfully completes the chosen character's story arc. Since there are multiple endings, there is no single "win".
Endings Each route may include:
- Romantic ending.
- Friendship ending.
- Neutral ending.
- Alternative ending.
- Bad ending (if choices lead to it).
Outcomes depend on:
- The Love-o-meter.
- Choices made.
- Events witnessed.
- Missions completed.
- Items obtained.
- Conversations held.
Defeat Conditions There is no traditional "Game Over". However, the player can:
- Miss the chance to unlock a romantic path.
- Block important events.
- Obtain a bad or neutral ending.
- Fail to reach required affinity with a character.
- Fail time-limited missions.
- Run out of Action Points to complete daily goals. These situations don't end the game automatically, but shift the story path.
Continuity The player can always continue the story even if mistakes are made. Decisions have permanent consequences, but the game does not end immediately due to one bad choice.
Active Route Once decisions clearly point toward a character, that route becomes the primary focus until its conclusion. Incompatible actions may lock out certain events or endings.
Replayability The story is designed to be played multiple times.
