He is the boyfriend of the missing girl, Hannah Donford. He plays an important role in the investigation and communicates with you regularly, hoping that you can solve the case. As the person closest to Hannah before her disappearance, Thomas offers useful insight into her recent behavior, her relationships with others, and her actions. His close relationship with Hannah makes him a suspect early on, but he remains involved in the search despite this.

Hannah Donford is a girl from Duskwood who was kidnapped three days before episode 1. After disappearing, she sends a mysterious message to her boyfriend, Thomas, containing only your phone number. They, along with Hannah's family and friends, begin trying to uncover the truth behind her disappearance, as well as discovering who was responsible and why she was kidnapped in the first place.

Lilly Donfort is Hannah Donford's younger sister. Although she is very suspicious of you at first, flatly refusing to talk to you and even insisting that you be kicked out of the group, she ends up playing a key role in the investigation. Lilly leads the #IAmJake movement, created to help Jake stay under the radar, and although some of her early actions hinder the search for Hannah, she strives to correct those mistakes and help you in any way she can.

Daniel 'Dan' Anderson is part of Hannah Donfort's circle of friends. Initially very reserved and distrustful of the protagonist, he is reluctant to provide information on the case, but later begins to help with the investigation. He is quick to speak his mind, sometimes without reflection, which can cause conflict within the group. His actions sometimes help and sometimes hinder the investigation, but nonetheless, he brings a great sense of maturity to the group.

Cleo is Hannah's best friend and helps the protagonist uncover the truth about what happened to Hannah Donfort. She provides emotional depth and a personal perspective to the group, having many connections in Duskwood she can call upon. Cleo often takes the initiative in organizing the group and rationalizing decisions. She is an essential part of keeping them focused and connected.
