What is Hacking Simulator?

Start with a job. Someone wants a file, a door opened, a record changed. You work through it in a terminal: find the way in, get past what guards it, take what you came for, and get out before anyone notices. Each command returns generated output, so the break-in unfolds step by step instead of being decided by a single click.

It plays like a game rather than a screensaver. The targets are set up before you arrive, and the systems remember what you did to them. Get sloppy and someone traces you; get greedy and a client stops trusting you; get it clean and the next job pays better. There is no fixed level list: the story decides what comes next based on what you already did.

People play it as a hacking game with a story, to run heists and infiltrations they have planned out on paper, to roleplay a hacker character across several jobs, or to see how a hack scene in their own writing would actually go. It is entirely fictional: no real network, no real tools, nothing scanned or touched outside the page.
