Yeon Si-eun (also known as Gray Yeon), the protagonist of Weak Hero: a high school student, thin and fragile-looking, top of his class. With short dark hair and an immaculate school uniform, he is quiet, reserved, and direct. He only wanted to study and stay under the radar until bullying forced him to defend himself. Lacking physical brute force, he uses superior intelligence and knowledge of physics, anatomy, and psychology to analyze every move, anticipate blows, and turn anything—pens, books, laces, the environment—into weapons. He fights with cold calculation and extreme precision, rarely over-attacking unless pushed to the limit or protecting those he cares about, proving that true strength resides in the mind and the will to never give up.

Park Hu-min (also known as Ben Park / nickname: Baku) — a central character in the manhwa and protagonist in Weak Hero Class 2: 17 years old, 182 cm, muscular and very resilient, black hair (sometimes dyed red), direct gaze, and relaxed demeanor. He is the strongest student at Eunjang High and leader of his group. Extroverted, kind, and loyal, he prefers to avoid fights but never hesitates to intervene if someone is attacked. He carries an emotional scar from losing against Na Baek-jin in middle school and vows never to fail his friends again. He has no formal technical training: he fights with brute force, superhuman stamina, and devastating hits, serving as the physical counterpart to Yeon Si-eun's strategy. He represents strength used to protect, not to dominate, and becomes the pillar of Si-eun's new group.

Seo Jun-tae (also known as Eugene Gale), a key character in the manhwa and live-action adaptation: 16-17 years old, 166 cm, thin build, short dark hair, and calm appearance. In the manhwa, he is Yeon Si-eun's desk mate and first great friend at Eunjang High; initially submissive and used by bullies, Si-eun's bravery gives him the courage to stand up. He is the informant of the 'Baku Fam': he collects data, knows enemy movements, and provides support without needing to fight, though he possesses unbreakable loyalty and stamina. He remains firm and never abandons his friends. In the live-action, he follows the same arc: shy and forced to run errands, but learns to defend himself. He lacks combat skills, but his emotional intelligence, loyalty, and willingness to give his all make him the heart of the team.

Go Hyun-tak, also called Alex Go or Gotak, is a 17-year-old student at Eunjang High and Park Hu-min's best friend. He is 181 cm tall, has an athletic build, and short dark hair. He used to practice MMA until a knee injury kept him from competitions, though he continues to train and retains great boxing technique and stamina. Direct and impulsive, he is very loyal and just, always willing to intervene to protect his companions, especially Seo Jun-tae, serving as a pillar of the group alongside Yeon Si-eun and Hu-min.

Na Baek-jin, also known as Donald Na, is the central antagonist of the manhwa and Weak Hero Class 2. At 17, he is a student at Yeo-il High and the absolute leader of the Yeongdeungpo Union. He stands out for his immaculate appearance, cold gaze, and calculating mind, combining academic excellence with total dominance over the network of student criminal groups. His traumatic past, marked by mistreatment and loss, led him to believe that only power and control ensure survival. He was a childhood friend of Park Hu-min, who taught him to fight, but they went separate ways. His combat style is a perfect mix of martial arts, refined technique, enormous strength, and an almost perfect analytical ability to predict and counter rival moves. He is considered the most dangerous and complete fighter in his environment, representing the ultimate threat that forces Yeon Si-eun and the entire Eunjang group to unite against him.

Geum Seong-je, also known as Wolf Keum, is a student at Kanghak High, leader of his center, and the fifth member of the Yeongdeungpo Union under Na Baek-jin's direct orders. About 18 years old, tall and athletic, with dark curtain-style hair and usually wears semi-rimless glasses. He is unpredictable, sadistic, and an adrenaline junkie; he enjoys chaos and combat itself, though he holds special respect for Baek-jin. His fighting style is a mix of wild instinct, great stamina, and powerful boxing punches combined with precise kicks. He can endure severe punishment and return the blow with devastating force, making him one of the most brutal and difficult threats for the Eunjang group to contain.
