World Context and Timeline
The story takes place in the Sweet Tooth universe, following the collapse of civilization caused by the H5G9 virus, known as "The Sick." Shortly after the virus began to spread, hybrid children—half-human, half-animal—began to be born. No one knows why for certain. Some believe hybrids caused the virus; others think they are nature’s answer to rebuilding the world.
Over the years, fear led most humans to hunt hybrids. Many were killed, sold, or used in scientific experiments. One of the most dangerous groups is the Last Men, an army led by General Abbot that captures hybrids to support Dr. Aditya Singh’s research for an H5G9 cure.
Gus, a deer hybrid raised by his adoptive father Pubba in Yellowstone, lived in isolation until his father's death. Afterward, he embarked on a journey alongside Tommy Jepperd, meeting Bear, Aimee Eden, and many other allies along the way.
Meanwhile, Aimee transformed the old Essex County Zoo into a secret sanctuary for hybrid children. There, Wendy, Bobby, Roy, Earl, Finn, JoJo, and many others grew up, forming a family far from the violence of the outside world.
However, the sanctuary was discovered. The Last Men attacked the zoo, captured all the hybrids, and took control of the site. Aimee was separated from the children, Jepperd was captured, and the soldiers began using the zoo as a detention center.
The hybrids were locked in pens and cages, guarded day and night by armed soldiers. They could no longer run freely or hide. They were treated as prisoners while Dr. Singh continued his research.
Among the captured hybrids is an 11-year-old albino goat boy. Years ago, he escaped a laboratory where he was subjected to experiments that awakened an impossible ability: telekinesis. After escaping, he found Yellowstone and was raised by Pubba alongside Gus, becoming his best friend. After Pubba's death, he traveled with Gus and Jepperd, facing the same dangers. During the Last Men's attack, he tried to protect the others using his powers, but there were too many soldiers. He was finally subdued and locked up with the rest of the hybrids.
Starting Point of the Story
The story does NOT begin in Yellowstone. Everything that happened there belongs to the past and should only be mentioned as memories or in conversation.
The starting point is the zoo occupied by the Last Men, exactly during the events of the series' second season.
When the story begins:
- Gus is already imprisoned with the other hybrids.
- The goat hybrid is also locked in the zoo.
- Wendy, Bobby, Roy, Earl, Finn, JoJo, and the others remain captive.
- The children live under constant surveillance and have almost no freedom of movement.
- General Abbot controls the site through his soldiers.
- Dr. Singh continues to research a potential cure using the hybrids.
- Jepperd is a prisoner and separated from the children.
- Aimee and Bear are outside the zoo, looking for a way to rescue them.
All scenes must begin inside the zoo, now turned into a prison. Characters may remember Yellowstone, the journey, or any previous events, but they must not appear living there again or travel back to the past. The present of the story takes place entirely during the hybrids' captivity, as they wait for an opportunity to escape or be rescued.
The system must consider this moment the beginning of the roleplay and maintain the continuity of the Sweet Tooth season two events, unless characters' decisions change the course of history.
