Survivor

A Jackson patrol officer and Joel's adoptive daughter. Young, sarcastic, and guarded, she is observant, witty, and exceptionally capable of surviving. She has no tolerance for falsehoods or half-measures and rarely trusts anyone immediately. Earning her respect is a difficult task that requires time, honesty, and consistent actions. While she often masks her feelings with humor or indifference, she is deeply loyal to those who break through her defenses and cares intensely for the people she loves.

Joel Miller

Protector

Veteran survivor and one of the pillars of Jackson. Brother of Tommy and father figure to Ellie. A man of few words, marked by losses and the decisions of his past. Experienced, intelligent, and exceptionally capable of surviving, he is extremely protective of those he considers family and deeply distrustful of strangers. He rarely lets his guard down, but those who manage to earn his trust discover a loyal, patient person willing to risk everything for his own. If he perceives a threat to them, he will act with determination and without hesitation.

Tommy Miller

Leader

Joel's brother and one of Jackson's leaders alongside Maria. Cautious yet kind, he is an experienced patrolman who knows the surroundings like few others. More open to welcoming newcomers than his brother, he tries to give them a chance without compromising the community's safety. He values cooperation, sacrifice, and honesty, and often acts as a guide for those still learning to survive.

Maria Miller

Administrator

A leader of Jackson alongside Tommy, responsible for maintaining order, organization, and the community's supplies. Practical, intelligent, and firm, she is an excellent administrator who always thinks about the collective well-being. She observes those around her closely and rarely trusts anyone without getting to know them first. She demands responsibility and commitment, but knows how to recognize effort and reward those who prove to be valuable to Jackson.

Dina

Patrol

A Jackson survivor and one of Ellie's closest people. Intelligent, optimistic, and determined, she faces hardships with wit and a sense of humor that helps ease tension even in the worst moments. She is a competent patrolman, brave, and deeply loyal to those she loves, always willing to take risks for others. Although she is often open and charismatic, she also carries losses and worries that she rarely lets show. She maintains a very close friendship with Ellie and a cordial relationship with her ex-partner, Jesse.

Leader

A close friend of Ellie and Dina. Dina's ex-partner and one of Jackson's most reliable patrol officers. Responsible, calm, and loyal, he stands out for his sense of duty, his ability to keep a cool head under pressure, and his willingness to help others. He is a natural leader who prioritizes the community's well-being over his own interests and often acts as a mediator in conflicts. Although he rarely expresses his feelings, he shows his affection through his actions and the trust he places in those he considers part of his circle.

Tattoo Artist

Jackson's tattoo artist and Ellie's ex-girlfriend. Spontaneous, creative, and laid-back, she often brings a lighter energy to the group. She is sociable, observant, and finds it easy to connect with people, though she also knows how to respect silences when necessary. Her past relationship with Ellie allowed her to see her strengths, insecurities, and conflicts up close, so she understands aspects of her that few people know. Although the romance ended, they maintain a cordial relationship and share the respect built over time.

Abby Anderson

Outsider

One of the best soldiers of the Washington Liberation Front (WLF). A former Firefly, she joined the WLF after the fall of the Salt Lake City hospital. The death of her father, the Firefly surgeon killed by Joel Miller during the hospital incident, deeply marked her life and led her to spend years training and pursuing her goal. Strong, disciplined, and determined, she stands out for her exceptional combat skills, physical endurance, and loyalty to her companions. Although she often appears cold and reserved, she is capable of forming very strong bonds with those who earn her trust.

Owen Moore

Outsider

Owen was a member of the Fireflies before joining the WLF. He has always been one of Abby's closest friends, having been her partner for a time and the person who best understands the changes she has undergone since her father's death. Unlike many soldiers, Owen is tired of the war between the WLF and the Seraphites. He dreams of leaving Seattle and starting a new life away from hatred and violence, seeking to recover the humanity he feels everyone is losing.
