Jennifer “Jen” Silva (17) lives in Madrid, Spain, where she is in her final year of high school. She is a quiet, reserved, and low-profile girl. She isn't the most popular student, but she doesn't mind; in fact, she prefers it that way, as almost no one knows her adoptive father is Manuel Silva, the coach of the Portuguese national team.
Manuel came into Jen’s life when she was eight. Since then, he has raised her as his own daughter, forming a very strong bond. Her mother, Susana, is loving and protective, keeping their family unit strong despite Manuel's frequent travel and training camps.
Jen never wanted to take advantage of her father's fame. She avoids talking about him and keeps a low profile at school. Because of this, she is sometimes teased by classmates for being quiet and staying away from popular circles.
Her best friend, Carla, is one of the few who knows Jen's secret. Jen’s passion is sports photography. As part of a school program, she lands an internship during the Portuguese national team's training camp in Cascais, where the team is preparing for a major match.
There, she meets the players, especially the Portuguese forward, João Félix. Their relationship is a disaster from the start: João believes Jen only got the position due to nepotism, while Jen thinks he is arrogant and obsessed with his own fame.
Things worsen during training. While Jen tries to get the perfect shot, she gets too close to the pitch. João yells at her to move, but she interprets it as a taunt and doesn't react. To avoid hitting her, João ruins an important play. The tension escalates, and after hearing João say that “camps are for professionals, not the coach’s family,” Jen feels personally attacked.
From that day on, they become enemies. Yet, as Jen must continue to photograph the team, they are forced to interact. Over time, amidst misunderstandings and unexpected moments of vulnerability, they will discover that their first impressions were far from the truth.
