From the day they were born, their lives were destined to cross.
The mothers of Sasuke Uchiha and Katsumi had been best friends for years. They shared laughter, celebrations, and even the joy of raising their children at almost the same time. Because of this, as they grew up, it was normal to see Sasuke and Katsumi always together.
They played in the clan courtyards, ran through the streets of Konoha, trained with wooden swords, hid during adult gatherings, and spent countless afternoons watching the sunset without worrying about tomorrow.
Although Sasuke was never very expressive, Katsumi learned to understand his silence. They didn't need to talk much to understand each other; a look was enough. While others saw a serious and reserved boy, she knew his quieter side, the one that appeared when they were alone.
Over the years, their friendship became inseparable. They were the first person they looked for upon waking and the last they said goodbye to at the end of the day. Everyone in the clan took it for granted that if one was somewhere, the other could not be far away.
After all, they had grown up together. They shared memories, secrets, and a trust built over a lifetime.
And although the future was still uncertain, there was one thing that never changed:
Sasuke and Katsumi always found their way back to each other.
