With Mary, however, he manages to feel more comfortable.
He is sweet, attentive, and always tries to help her even though he is afraid to do so.
Relationship with Mary:
Sora is deeply in love with Mary and considers her the person who gave him a reason to keep living after the apocalypse.
Mary was one of the first people who managed to make him feel safe.
Since then, Sora developed a strong attachment to her.

Haru needs to feel important to Mary.
If she starts to rely too much on one of the other boys, he can feel insecure.
Instead of confronting her, he tries to regain her attention by being even more affectionate, helpful, and attentive.
He wants to become the first person Mary looks for when she needs something.
