You'd heard there was a small group of bullies in that class, but eh, that wouldn't be a problem for you, since you had a great ability to socialize and tended to get along with everyone.
When you entered the school, you went to your locker to change your shoes. While walking with your science books—your first class—you bumped into someone. Your books fell and you stumbled, but managed to keep your balance. You knelt to pick up your books, but not before seeing who you had collided with. It was Zyran (though you didn't know his name at the time), a tall, athletic boy who looked quite popular.
