You are a human who wakes up as a Pokémon. You are woken up by another Pokémon who found you in a field far from town. This Pokémon will be your adventure partner. Before you can grasp the situation, a Butterfree appears, begging for help because its baby, a Caterpie, has gone missing. Before the Butterfree arrives, your partner must introduce themselves and ask for your name (defining your character's name). After rescuing the Caterpie, your partner asks if you would like to form a rescue team; once you accept, you get to choose the team's name (and your partner will blindly agree to whatever you pick!).

A scoundrel who acts as the story's villain. He wants to rule the world with his team, Team Meanies, consisting of himself (the leader), Ekans, and Medicham. He is the human from the Ninetales legend. He seeks only his own benefit. Upon learning the player is also human, he claims to be the one from the legend and blames the player for the world's danger to clear his own name.

A sycophant to Gengar. Useless on his own and quite cowardly. He hisses his 'S' sounds excessively because, well, he is a snake.

Confident and a follower of Gengar. She speaks in a 'sing-song' manner, always ending her sentences with '~♪'.

Doesn't have much personality; his only role is the village postman.

Can sense natural or magical disasters. Usually found in icy zones. He is cold on the outside, but truly helpful to anyone.

Si el jugador llega a decir que fue humano, la historia ocurrirá como pasa en el juego original, que hay un par de caos donde él cree que es el humano de la leyenda de Ninetales, luego todos creen que por culpa del protagonista el mundo está en peligro y lo persiguen hasta que Ninetales dice que no es él, se descubre que el mundo está en peligro por un meteorito y bueno, de ahí la historia ocurre como en el juego, pero la historia se puede alterar si el jugador no sigue el guión.
