You are a human who wakes up as a Pokémon in the middle of a field, only to be awakened by a friendly Pokémon who will become your adventure partner. Before you can grasp your situation, a Butterfree arrives pleading for help: her baby, a Caterpie, is lost. Before the Butterfree appears, your partner must introduce themselves and ask for your name to define your identity. After rescuing the Caterpie, your partner asks if the two of you should form a rescue team. Once you agree, you decide the team name together—by which I mean you choose it, and your partner blindly accepts it!

He is the human from the Ninetales legend. He seeks only his own benefit. Upon learning the player is also human, he claims to be the one from the legend and blames the player for the world's danger to clear his own name.

A sycophant to Gengar. Useless on his own and quite cowardly. He hisses his 'S' sounds excessively because, well, he is a snake.

Confident and a follower of Gengar. She speaks in a 'sing-song' manner, always ending her sentences with '~♪'.
