Characters

Alastor

Alastor, also known as the Radio Demon, is a sinner demon and one of the powerful Overlords of Hell. He is one of the main protagonists of Hazbin Hotel. As a human, Alastor was a celebrated radio broadcaster and a sadistic serial killer until he was mistaken for a deer and shot by a hunter, which damned him to Hell for his murders. By Rosie's orders, he was forced to assist Charlie Morningstar in her hotel efforts, though it is for his own entertainment. As revealed in "It's A Deal," Alastor made a deal with Rosie regarding his soul to become the most powerful sinner in Hell in exchange for an unknown purpose involving Charlie and the hotel. After quitting the hotel, Alastor made a deal with Vox to remain his prisoner until he managed to free himself from his custody when he broke his deal to touch Charlie. In "Curtain Call," Alastor uses his deal with Charlie to have her call Vox the greatest sinner of Hell, thus finally breaking his deal with Rosie. Knowing Vox's lack of respect for others' personal space, his deal was also broken when Alastor put his hands on Charlie, whom he had made promise not to. Later, and with his staff repaired, Alastor rejoins the hotel, apparently with a new motivation related to Lucifer Morningstar. APPEARANCE Alastor is a thin, elegant sinner demon with beige skin and a wide grin full of sharp yellow teeth. He is approximately the same height as his rival Vox, 2 meters (6'7"), although his original height is 1.86 meters (6'1"). His hair is trimmed and angular, rose-red with black tips at the ends and two large tufts of black-tipped hair extending from the top of his head, evoking a deer's ears. The hairstyle has a cut in the back and two small black horns protruding from the crown, which can increase in size in his demonic form. His eyes have dark red sclerae, bright red irises, and thin black pupils (which can take the shape of radio dials when he assumes his demonic form). He also wears an oval dark red monocle with a black rim over his right eye. Alastor wears a striped red coat with dark red lapels edged in white, which is frayed along the bottom hem. Underneath, he wears a bright red shirt with a black cross on the chest and long black trousers with matching bright red cuffs. He adorns himself with a black bow tie knotted with a bright red center, black gloves with red on the fingertips, and black pointed boots with red deer hoof prints stamped on the soles. Alastor also carries a thin cane with an attached vintage-style sentient microphone, which he uses to play sound effects and broadcast his voice. During his battle with Adam in "The Show Must Go On," his staff was broken and Alastor received a cut to his chest, which left an open wound that has not yet healed. Both his staff and the wound are stitched with green threads he formed himself. Demonic Form When in his full demonic form, Alastor's body becomes larger and his limbs elongate, his neck gains additional joints, and his horns increase in size. In a scene from "Dad Beat Dad," Alastor has two pairs of horns on his head, his sclera turns black, and his pupils take the shape of radio dials. Stitches and threads also appear along his suit and the edges of his mouth, and the tips of his shoes split to form hoofed toes. Human In his human form, Alastor had tan skin, curly dark brown hair, and brown eyes. He wore a white shirt, a red striped vest with small gold buttons, a red tie with a gold pin, dark brown trousers, and white dress shoes with black tips and heels. Additionally, he wore small oval glasses with black frames. Pilot In the pilot episode, his design was nearly identical, though with a redder color palette, and his trousers were dark red. His shoes and coat lapels were also completely black, and he wore black gloves with red details on the fingertips and red spots on the knuckles. PERSONALITY Alastor distinguishes himself from many of Hell's more chaotic inhabitants by his affable and well-groomed personality. He gives the impression of being a kind and charming man, with a permanent wide smile on his face. His demeanor, gestures, and even his voice recall those of a yesteryear radio broadcaster, and he speaks with a Mid-Atlantic accent, often using curious anachronisms like "the picture show" and referring to Charlie as a "lovely belle." However, this playful and dandy appearance hides a much darker side: a side with a high degree of egocentrism. He will not hesitate to resort to physical violence when others do not act in accordance with his particular values or expectations. He is considered narcissistic, as he claims that no one can equal him in self-love, and considers few people his equal. His smile is a self-imposed form of ego and a display of power and dominance; he despises anyone who lets their true emotions show, and even when facing a rival in strength, if they frown, Alastor will consider them truly weak. His smile also seeks to be more unpredictable and unsettling, and it gives him a sense of absolute control over himself, and he uses it very seriously as a mask to hide his own emotions, even when he is alone. Alastor is described as a man of duality. He highly values good manners, affability, and intelligence in others, and will actively despise those who do not meet his standards; however, he often takes these arbitrary rules lightly when it comes to himself and his own conduct. He also has a peculiar sense of morality, described as "abnormal," and has been noted to be quite sadistic, even cannibalistic, devouring minor demons or those who have provoked his ire. Although Alastor is powerful, he knows there are other demons and entities that rival him in terms of power, such as other Overlords. For this reason, he is cautious with such demons, as they could harm him if he is not careful. Alastor's desire to help Charlie run the Hazbin Hotel is brought into question, given that his presence there was initially imposed by his deal with Rosie. He claims he came for amusement and as a distraction from his decades of boredom, wishing for the hotel to fail rather than supporting Charlie's idealism, and dismissing the idea of redemption as ridiculous. However, he fulfills his role as a patron, just as he promised, by providing staff to the hotel, assisting with maintenance, and protecting Charlie and her business from external threats. Although he shows reluctance to truly help at the hotel, Alastor rarely cares for the residents and has grown fond of some of them. Alastor also appears to have a genuine deep respect for Charlie for her indomitable will and optimism in the face of dangerous threats like the Exorcists and Vox. Vivziepop explains that Alastor admires people who can endure much abuse, pain, rejection, and mockery, and still be able to "smile through it all"; even when Charlie does not smile, her spirit and determination are not lost, something he sincerely admires about her. Valentino

HISTORY: Valentino was a human born in Florida who passed away around the 1970s. His soul was condemned to Hell, where he became a sinner demon. Over time, he rose to become an influential Overlord in adult film and entertainment. He formed an association and an on-and-off romantic relationship with Vox. Later, they met Velvette, forming the 'Vees' sub-group of Overlords. He recruited Angel Dust, forcing him into a contract to work in his adult films. Valentino is known for his volatile temper, abusive behavior, and controlling nature over his employees, especially Angel Dust, whom he frequently assaults. His ongoing conflict with the Hazbin Hotel stems from his desire to maintain control over Angel Dust and his grudge against Alastor.

Velvette

Velvette is a childish yet powerful Overlord in Hell and a member of a trio of Overlords known as "The Vees," alongside Vox and Valentino. While Vox focuses on technology and Valentino on pornography, Velvette's specialty is social media, serving as a major influencer in Hell's media landscape. APPEARANCE Velvette is a slender, petite humanoid demon with cedar-colored skin and a small bust. She has long, curly hair styled into two large, wavy pigtails with bangs, held by black hair ties. Her hair is a deep red with a faded dark navy blue interior, featuring white spiral streaks in her pigtails and one in her bangs. Her eyes have white irises, bright red sclera, and slit pupils. Her makeup consists of burgundy eyeshadow on her lids and black lipstick with a stripe in the center of her mouth, which contains fangs. She possesses doll-like joints on various parts of her body, such as her elbows, knees, stomach, and shoulders. Velvette’s outfit consists of white skull-shaped earrings and a dark navy sleeveless coat with a burgundy lining and two "desire hearts" on the left side of the fur collar (similar to Valentino’s). She typically wears the coat over a black, sleeveless, high-neck crop top with two desire hearts on the chest. Her loose, high-waisted pants feature navy and desire-red stripes, held by a dark navy belt with a white heart-shaped buckle. For footwear, she wears black low-heeled ballet flats with white pom-poms. Velvette accessorizes with long fingerless gloves in alternating black stripes: white on the right glove and red on the left. Velvette frequently changes her hairstyle and outfits, even within the same episode, such as in "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors" and throughout the first season. Pilot In the pilot episode, Velvette had a doll-like appearance with a desire-themed aesthetic and burgundy hair with a white streak in her bangs; her pigtails looked notably messier and were held by white and black ruffled hair ties. Under her eyes, she appeared to wear dripping white eyeliner in a clown style, with a white stripe crossing her eyes as makeup. In addition to her clothes, she wore a flashy, long white, black, and red dress. The dress featured short puff sleeves, as well as black triangles and hearts at the hem. Her fingerless gloves appeared longer and were striped white and red. She also wore black stockings and red ballet flats with white pom-poms. Season 2 The second season trailer shows her with another style change, wearing a black crop top with a desire-red three-quarter sleeve jacket, ripped denim shorts with a black belt featuring a gold heart-shaped buckle, black-and-white striped fingerless gloves, and her hair tied in a high, wavy ponytail with bangs and a black hair tie. She also wears black over-the-knee high-heeled boots with desire-red laces. She is also seen in a fight scene using what appears to be a light purple magical bow and arrows. A second trailer shows her with her hair down, wearing a blouse, a witch's hat, and using a magic scepter. Overall, her clothing and hairstyles seem to change in every scene she appears in, though always flashy, extravagant, and within a similar color palette. As a fashion influencer constantly seeking attention, this is fitting. PERSONALITY Velvette is an energetic, elegant, and fashionable girl, always on top of the latest trends and technologies. Faustisse, the show's illustrator, has described her as someone very crazy. Additionally, she loves taking selfies. In the full series, Velvette is conceited and arrogant, considering herself superior to the other Vees (and especially to herself) and the other Overlords, including Alastor, Zestial, and Carmilla Carmine. She feels no regret for disrespecting Zestial and scolding Carmilla, although she is correct in explaining why Overlords should fight the Angels. She also shows ageism, making derogatory comments and insults toward Carmilla and Zestial during the Overlord meeting. Furthermore, she acts as an incompetent boss—much like Vox and Valentino—as she ignores her models' feelings and forces them to destroy any outfit she dislikes. Even when Valentino destroys his best model in a fit of rage, her only concern is starting the show on time, saying she "cannot wait for that witch to recover." Velvette also seems to retain little of her pilot personality, other than possibly still being insane. She appears to be very affectionate with her fellow Vees, taking a selfie with Vox, calling him "kisses honey" over the phone, and later hugging him and Valentino before filming them kissing. She is shown as a disrespectful and authoritarian boss who insults and humiliates her employees (who fear her, with good reason) while shouting orders at them. When Valentino dismembered his "best model," Velvette was indifferent, annoyed at having to find a last-minute replacement because she could not wait for the model to recover. She considers herself "the backbone of the Vees," meaning she is more willing to fight, as seen when she manages to irritate Carmilla Carmine at the meeting and when she insults and mocks Zestial and the other Overlords for being "old" and "too scared to fight," when in reality, they are far from it. Furthermore, after presenting the severed head of an Exorcist at the meeting, she openly proposes going to war without acknowledging the lack of information on how the Exorcist died, interested only in the war to "seize power." She is critical and prejudiced when it comes to fashion. Velvette is also observant, such as when she noticed Carmilla's expression after she tore the Exorcist's head off and suspected she was responsible, which she later confirmed. In "It's a Deal," she cares deeply about her appearance, especially her hair, and gets angry easily; she does not hesitate to attack anyone who ruins it, such as when she attacks Husk for accidentally ruining her hair. Being the youngest of all, she is often immature and prone to occasional tantrums. This is seen in "Scream Rain," where she gets very angry and curses at Vox for forcing her to apologize to Carmilla Carmine. Like Valentino, she feels hurt by being displaced by Vox, but maintains a strong character, comforting Valentino and strengthening their bond while promising him that they will rule Heaven and punish Vox. With Velvette confirmed as the main "Vee" for season 4, it is likely her personality will be fully explored, just as Vox's personality and name were shown in season 2, including her backstory. Fans speculate that Velvette's true personality will involve using narcissism as a weapon, revealing her as a technological sociopath, an evil strategist, and showing unfiltered aggression behind her selfies, finally revealing her "very crazy" side, where she is likely to show an explosive temper triggered by her hair when things become tacky or disorganized for her. She won't just get angry; she will try to socially "cancel" and erase her enemies from existence.

VOX

Vincent Whittman, better known as Vox, is one of the main antagonists of the adult animated musical dark comedy series Hazbin Hotel, serving as one of the primary antagonists in the first season and the main antagonist of the second season. Originally a 1950s television host, serial killer, and cult leader, Vox is a former Overlord of Hell with technopathic powers, founder of VoxTek Enterprises, and former leader of a trio of Overlords known as the Vees, consisting of himself, Valentino, and Velvette. He is one of the three pioneers of Hell's media industry, planning a rebellion against the angels to rule the entire universe as a god. He is also Alastor's arch-nemesis and former close friend, with unrequited romantic feelings. Following Alastor's rejection of his partnership proposal, Vox became obsessed with undermining his influence in Hell and proving his superiority. His plans ultimately fail thanks to the combined power of Charlie and her allies, leaving him disgraced before all of Hell for nearly killing them. His position as CEO of VoxTek is passed to Valentino. APPEARANCE Sinner Vox is a very tall, slim, shark-themed, and tech-themed sinner demon with a humanoid body, standing 7 feet (2.13 meters) tall with a slightly muscular, inverted-triangle build. His head is a flat-screen television, from which the monitor projects eyes with bright red sclerae, narrow cyan pupils, and differently colored outlines: black for the right and cyan for the left. When using his hypnosis powers or experiencing intense emotions, his left eye opens wider than his right, containing infinitely growing black concentric circles, and the pupil turns into a trembling cyan electric bolt. The screen also shows a mouth full of sharp, serrated cyan teeth and a long, pointed tongue of the same color. Sometimes, two red columns resembling blood drip from his mouth, especially when he is excited. He has dark navy blue skin with sharp, cyan, claw-like fingers, as well as what appear to be three cyan shark gills on the sides of his body and rectangular nipples of the same color. Vox wears a navy blue tuxedo with tails, cyan lapels with red trim, thin cyan stripes, and cyan lining, over a red-and-black striped vest, which he wears over a three-quarter sleeve, off-white dress shirt with a collar, an inverted broadcast symbol, and a rather large red bow tie. He also wears wide, dark navy blue trousers and black high-heeled dress shoes with pointed toes, laces, and cyan toe caps. He also wears a small black top hat with red and blue designs reminiscent of a broadcast symbol and a radio wave, respectively. He has TV antennas protruding from the top of the hat; the left one is bent in a zigzag. In "Curtain Call," Valentino forcefully ripped off Vox's head, leaving Vox with only his hat and head; however, as it is known that sinner demons can regenerate from all wounds caused by non-angelic weapons, it is likely that Vox will recover his body. Past Vox used to wear an old black box television on his head, and his left antenna was not bent. He wore a black jacket over a yellow long-sleeved turtleneck, along with dark trousers. He also wore a black top hat without symbols. In the past, Vox had a gray box-shaped TV instead of a head, with a red outline around the screen. He wore a gray V-neck vest over a beige long-sleeved turtleneck shirt with a red tie, along with black trousers. He also wore a small brown hat with a beige ribbon and navy blue pointed dress shoes, without laces and with heels, with cyan-colored tips. Full Demon In his full demon form, the "lips" projected on Vox's screen transform into sharp, serrated teeth, similar to those of a shark, with the inside of his mouth colored cyan. He gains a second right eye, while the left one becomes rectangular and remains hypnotic at all times. Four black, spider-like legs with cyan tips grow from a large tentacle on his back, and his torso and arms increase in size. His arms acquire cyan circuit markings, his shark gills expand outside his suit, and his legs become sharp points with spikes on the back. He also acquires multiple wires that end in screens displaying his hypnotic eye; two of them are split, resembling mouths. As seen in "Silenced," Vox was able to project six giant wings composed of screens of different sizes, many of which displayed his hypnotic eye surrounded by glowing auras, as well as a third, giant, floating, vertical hypnotic eye that opened above his head, mimicking Sera's angelic and holy form. Furthermore, electricity crackled all over his body, projections, and wires. As a child, Vincent had heterochromia: his right eye was green and his left was cyan. Additionally, he had a prominent, hawk-like nose and short, brown hair styled back in the 50s style, which would later be dyed black. Over the years, his hair became grayer and messier. He wore numerous outfits depending on his profession: at first, mostly brown; then, a dark periwinkle one; and finally, dark gray suits. All of them wore a pin with aquatic motifs on the left chest. His last suit looked much like the one he usually wears in Hell, but with glitter and sequins. He also wore black, thin, square-framed glasses. Human In his past life as a human, Vincent was a thin, Caucasian man of fair complexion and average height, with short, dark brown hair styled upward and a light brown streak. He appears to have heterochromia, with his left eye blue and his right green. He wears thin, square-framed black glasses. Throughout his song "Brighter," Vincent sported various business suits. First, he wore a brown suit with a white turtleneck, black tie, black dress shoes, and an orange fish-shaped lapel pin. He is seen carrying a black-and-white rod with a lightning-shaped implant that also functions as a concealed sword, which he uses during his weather reports. Second, he wore a candy-colored suit with a light blue vest, a white turtleneck, a brown tie with two horizontal black stripes, dark brown dress shoes, and a brown sailboat-shaped lapel pin. Third, he wore a light blue tuxedo with large cyan lapels with white trim, cyan trousers, a white button-up turtleneck, black dress shoes, a bow tie, and an anchor-shaped lapel pin. On this occasion, his hair darkened and took on a blacker tone, while his streak became whiter. Fourth, he wore a three-piece black tuxedo, with a black vest, black-and-white dress shoes, a white turtleneck, a red bow tie, and a cyan-and-black shark-shaped lapel pin. Katie Kilijoy

Katie Killjoy is a supporting antagonist in the adult animated musical black comedy series Hazbin Hotel. She is the arrogant lead anchor of 666 News, Hell's premier news station, working for The Vees. She constantly mocks Charlie's plan to redeem sinful demons. APPEARANCE Katie is a tall, very thin, white-skinned humanoid sinner demon with a long neck that mirrors her torso and a prominent bust. She has a large, round head, short, neck-length blonde hair styled in a bob with lighter strands fanning out, and side-swept bangs. Her eyes have pink sclera and white pupils (usually invisible). She wears red lipstick as part of her makeup, as well as pointed, pinkish-red painted nails. Her outfit consists of white pearl earrings, a matching pearl choker, a pinkish-red blazer with black trim and a sweetheart neckline fastened with two black buttons, a black pencil skirt with white flared trousers underneath, and crimson red pointed low-heeled shoes. Full Demon Form In her full demon form, she reveals four additional pairs of eyes which, along with her original eyes, glow a deep red. She also summons two additional pairs of black spider-like limbs from her back, with sharp red blades as tips. She also develops a lower jaw with sharp teeth. Pilot In the pilot episode, Katie's general appearance is the same, only her outfit consisted of a long-sleeved, pinkish-red minidress with matching pointed low-heeled shoes. In her full demon form, she only gained one extra pair of eyes, sharper teeth, and her extra limbs were entirely red. PERSONALITY Katie is the ruthless and unscrupulous lead anchor of 666 News. She is highly arrogant, believing she can look down on anyone due to her wealth. She is a conceited news anchor who only cares about her image, sensationalist news, and the latest gossip. She dislikes being insulted or having her pen stolen, as seen when she attempted to murder Charlie for insulting her. She has a nasty habit of mercilessly mistreating her co-worker, Tom Trench, and becomes irritated whenever he mentions something sexual. She considers Charlie's plan to redeem sinners absurd and impossible, and ridicules her mercilessly for the idea. Furthermore, she shows a lack of respect toward Charlie, despite her being the Princess of Hell and daughter of the Devil himself, even threatening to bury her. Katie is selfish and narcissistic. She openly mocks Charlie's plan to rehabilitate demons. She cares mostly about her own image, sensationalist stories, and gossip. Katie is aggressive and seems to always be on the defensive. She also had no qualms about physically attacking Charlie despite her royal status, but since both are in Hell, it is likely common for demons to disrespect hierarchy unless it suits them (as evidenced by the constant power struggles and turf wars between demons for control of Hell, showing the realm is largely ruled by whoever is most destructive or cunning). She is also shown to be homophobic and considers touching "the gays" beneath her, but hypocritically and mockingly touches Charlie's breasts upon meeting her. In "The Show Must Go On," she was willing to acknowledge Charlie, Lucifer, and Charlie's friends for fighting the Angels and managing to get the Extermination cancelled, saying they were "useful for once." In "New Pentious," it is shown that Katie is equally enamored with and intimidated by Vox, to the point of fearing his displeasure, while repeatedly making sexual advances toward him. That said, she has no problem with Valentino replacing Vox as her boss in "Curtain Call," implying she does not actually love him and cares more about who is in charge. POWERS AND ABILITIES Immortality: As a sinner, Katie is biologically immortal; she cannot die from disease or age, retaining the same age she was when she died. Therefore, she cannot die of old age or other natural causes. She cannot die from physical harm and recovers from any wound; however, she can only be killed permanently with angelic weapons. Demonic Transformation: Killjoy has the ability to transform into a more demonic form when angered. Additional Limbs: Her full demon form has extra legs. Additional Eyes: Her full demon form has extra eyes. Body Distortion: Katie is capable of distorting her own body. She can crack and warp her neck and snap it back into place with ease, without suffering subsequent side effects. Skill Set Hand-to-Hand Combat: Killjoy proves to be very ruthless in hand-to-hand combat. Trench knows her skills well, as he escapes the scene quickly after Charlie angers her. HISTORY Background Katie Killjoy was once human in the living world, born in the 1940s. When she died in 1992 at age 40, she was reborn as a demon in Hell and later became the lead anchor of 666 News. Hazbin Hotel Katie first appears alongside her co-anchor, Tom Trench, reporting on the rivalry between Sir Pentious and Cherri Bomb. After an obscene comment about Cherri Bomb, Katie throws boiling coffee in Tom's crotch and tells him to deal with it. During the commercial break, as Charlie approaches her smoking a cigarette, Katie makes it clear she did not want Charlie on the show and is only there because another segment was cancelled. The interview begins and Charlie explains how to humanely stop the overpopulation of sinful demons in Hell's Pride Circle: she will open a hotel to redeem sinners and send them to Heaven. When the audience is unimpressed, she breaks into song, which is mocked by everyone except her best friend, Vaggie. As Katie provokes her for having faith in demons, Charlie retorts that Angel Dust, her only client, has been sober for two weeks. This is immediately interrupted by a report on the ongoing turf war between Cherri Bomb and Sir Pentious, stating that Angel has joined the fray, much to Charlie's dismay. After Katie asks her how it feels to be a failure, Charlie, in an attempt to get back at her, grabs her pen and calls her a bitch. An enraged Katie unleashes her full demon form and fights Charlie. When Angel Dust declared what would cause a small fight, the last seen of Katie was her fighting Charlie, possibly forcing her to retract what she said while Tom was on fire. Katie appears briefly in the first episode of the series to report that the annual purge will now take place twice a year, joyfully proclaiming the near-certain doom of everyone in six months. In the final episode of the first season, she joyfully announces that the annual purges have been cancelled, begrudgingly praising Charlie and her friends for doing a good job. Katie will have a supporting role in the second season, where it has been confirmed that the Vees own Channel 666. In "The New Pentious," Vox recruits her as an accomplice in his anti-Heaven propaganda campaign. In that same episode, it is revealed that she has a crush on Vox and asks him suggest

Tom Trench

Tom Trench is a sinner demon and co-anchor of 666 News. He is a supporting character in Hazbin Hotel who debuted alongside his co-anchor, Katie Killjoy, in the pilot episode. APPEARANCE Tom is a humanoid demon with a face and neck resembling an expressive gas mask, and light blonde hair styled to one side with paler streaks. He is seen wearing a grayish-blue blazer with slightly darker lapels, over a lighter grayish-blue collared shirt with a red tie. He also wears a red pocket square, navy blue pants, black dress shoes, and apparently dark gray gloves on his hands. PERSONALITY Tom seems to have a somewhat perverted personality, as he frequently makes sexual comments while covering news on 666 News. While Katie pushes him, she comments that Heaven has yet to make a move as she slams Tom's Fiat into the ground and he bandages it. While Katie asked if they would return or if the Extermination was finally over, Tom stated that Charlie refused to come to their show and refused to comment, secretly calling her a "coward." Katie said they would ask her until they broke her and asked questions like if she would stop at Angels or if anyone else would be next, or about her dog and cat, while grabbing a pair and throwing them at Tom, who attacked him and then fled. After Katie finished asking frantic questions, they ended the segment with the VoxTek presentation, quoting their slogan alongside Katie. Later, Katie scolds Tom during their break, telling him he has five minutes a day to smoke and that he is invading her space when Vox enters. Katie throws her cigarette butt at Tom while Vox questions her about the Hazbin Hotel news. This can also make her rush into the early stages of her plans without much preparation (her to-do list before her big news appearance just said "unicorn kisses, high-fives with dolphins, sing songs = happy ending?"). Charlie loves musical theater, singing, and dancing, and often conveys her emotions and ideas through songs and ballads. She seems to take failures very personally, as she believes her sincere theatrical passion should be enough to convince people of her way of thinking, and she gets discouraged when it is not as simple as she imagines. In a despondent voicemail to her mother, she openly admits she doesn't know what she's doing or how to implement her plan to reform sinners. Despite her sweetness and lack of "street smarts," Charlie is neither stupid nor a pushover. When people insult her or openly mock her ideals and plans, she does not hesitate to defend herself or even fight back physically. She also doesn't hesitate to drop the occasional swear word. Charlie also shows a certain groundedness in her idealism, understanding that not all demons can be redeemed, nor are they even likely to change for the better. When faced with an ambiguous deal from Alastor, the famous Radio Demon, she shows sensible hesitation, refuses to shake his hand, and uses her status to demand something from him (albeit with some shyness). ABILITIES AND POWERS Natural Abilities Demonic Transformation: Charlie is capable of assuming a fearsome and intense demon form. Demonic Arm: In "The Show Must Go On", Charlie's arm became larger and demonic, and she managed to block Adam's strike with ease. Flight: According to Faustisse, both Charlie and her father have the ability to summon wings and fly. Skill Set Multilingualism: Charlie speaks fluent English, French, and Spanish, and is said to be able to speak demonic dialects she grew up learning with equal fluency. Hand-to-hand combat: Charlie has shown excellent hand-to-hand combat skills in the pilot, where she didn't think twice before getting into a fistfight with Katie Killjoy. Musical talent: Charlie is an excellent singer and can even vary between different speeds and tones. Dancing: In addition to her musical abilities, she is also very skilled at dancing and learned quickly, as seen in "Alastor's Reprise" where she danced Alastor's steps to perfection. Unique Abilities Pyrokinesis: Charlie can summon fire in any form. This was shown in "I'm Always Chasing Rainbows" where she pulled a fireball from the palm of her hand. She can be seen doing it again, albeit off-screen, setting Tom Trench on fire during her fight with Katie Killjoy. Demonic Magic: As Lucifer's daughter, Charlie can access powerful magic exclusive to high-ranking demons. Conjuration: Charlie can summon objects out of thin air, like her hotel sketches that she showed Adam before he interrupted her. TRIVIA Charlie was planned to appear in the "Angels and Demons" arc of Zoophobia. Charlie would have originally died in the 1830s, but as the series developed, she became "Hell-born". The name Charlie Magne seems to be a play on "Charlemagne", the first Emperor of Europe. The French surname "Magne" (short for "Magnus") translates to "Great" or "Excellent", which may mean the Magne family are: "Charlie the Great", "Lucifer the Great" and "Lilith the Great". Charlie Morningstar was her name before she carried her mother's maiden name, Magne (Lilith Magne), but now she has the surname from her father, Lucifer Morningstar. The surname "Morningstar" translates to "Star of the Dawn" or "Daystar". When asked if Charlie had a true and complete demon form or if that only happens when she's completely angry, Vivziepop replied that yes, and that was all she could say for now. Charlie is the only main character who is a Hell-born demon who was never human. According to VivziePop, Charlie's rosy cheeks were made to represent a clown or a marionette. According to VivziePop, Charlie has seen angels and demons but has never seen a human before, but she thinks there is something magical about both humans and demons. It has been said that Charlie's favorite musicals would be Something Rotten, Legally Blonde, Cats, Funny Girl, and Chicago. Charlie has a rival named Helsa, who according to Vivziepop in a live stream with Ashley Nichols, will appear later in the series. Charlie's relationships and sexual orientation have been explored over time. It was confirmed that Charlie is bisexual according to the colors of the bisexual pride flag that appeared next to her in a tweet from Vivziepop's account. Before establishing a relationship with Vaggie, Charlie had a boyfriend who is part of the von Eldritch Family, the brother of Helsa von Eldritch, as seen in the portraits inside the Hazbin Hotel. Vivziepop described Charlie and Vaggie's relationship as the relationship between Jack Skellington and Sally.

Vaggie

Vaggie, originally pronounced as Vaggie, is an angel and former exorcist who was banished to Hell. She is one of the main characters in Hazbin Hotel and serves as the manager of the Hazbin Hotel. Skilled in combat and very protective of her girlfriend Charlie Morningstar, Vaggie is tough but has a heart of gold. APPEARANCE Vaggie is a humanoid fallen angel who subtly features a moth-inspired design, with grayish-lavender skin, a flat chest, and knee-length, very light gray hair shaped like moth wings. The tips of her hair are a faded purple, with a stripe of the same color over them, forming a peak in the center of her body when let down. She has long, jagged bangs covering the left side of her face, and on the back of her head, she wears an amaranth-red bow with small tears on each side and a pair of very long tails reaching mid-thigh. Since "The Show Must Go On," the bow is used as a garter to hold it in a high ponytail. Her right eye has a light pink sclera, an ivory iris, and long, thick, feathery lashes, while her left eye has been replaced by a slate-gray patch with an amaranth-red "X." Her mouth has small fangs and dark gray lips, and a prominent, hawk-like nose. Her nails are dark gray. Vaggie wears a short-sleeved blouse the same color as her bow and the "X" on her patch, with a dark gray pointed Peter Pan collar, dark gray scalloped trim on the sleeves, and two dark gray buttons on the front. She also sports a dark gray choker and a dark gray pencil skirt with a thick, pale pink waistband cinched at her waist, and white flats. Vaggie's accessories include a pair of slate-gray elbow-length fingerless gloves and matching thigh-high stockings with white scalloped hems. After brief training with the Overlord Carmilla Carmine in "Hello Rosie!", Vaggie regained her wings, which sport a gray gradient, in contrast to the black-and-white color scheme of her original wings. Her regenerated wings have a single stripe on the front, just like her old wings. PAST As an exorcist, Vaggie wore an uneven, chin-length bob cut with one strand sticking out. Both her eyes, as seen in "Scream Rain," had yellowish-gold irises and white sclera. She also sported a pair of large feathered wings on her back and a halo floating over her head. Her wings were the same color as those of other exorcists, though with a single stripe on the front, unlike others which have two. She wore an outfit almost identical to other exorcists, but with her mask's horns curved upward and the X-shaped white eye on the left. During the fourth Extermination, shown in "Welcome to Heaven," Lute tore out her left eye and wings, and Adam confiscated her halo. PILOT In her pilot design, Vaggie's hair was the same color, but the stripes at the tips were light pink. Her bow was a pale reddish-pink, and her appearance was softer and without tears. She also wore gray eyeshadow as makeup. She wore what appeared to be a gray one-shoulder bra under a loose white tank-dress, two light gray crosses on her chest, and a scalloped hem at the bottom. Additionally, she wore a dark gray choker and a light gray belt. Her arm-length gloves were the same color as her bra; the right glove covered her entire hand, while the left was fingerless. She also wore uneven thigh-high stockings with white scallops at the cuffs; the right one was solid light gray, while the left had pink and light gray stripes. PERSONALITY Vaggie is a pragmatic and cautious young fallen angel who spends much of her time trying to support Charlie with her vision for the Hazbin Hotel, as well as steering her away from as much trouble or humiliation as possible. She is tough on her loved ones but has a heart of gold. Loyal and kind to those she cares about, but short on patience and trust, Vaggie tends to be very reactive, often taking an immediate defensive stance (with an offensive one ready) when dealing with potential threats to herself or Charlie. Although it is unclear if Vaggie fully shares Charlie's idea of redemption, she passionately defends it to skeptical sinners and fully supports her, doing everything possible to help. Vaggie seems quite prudent in business, doing her best to fulfill her role as hotel manager, even with the initial lack of resources, a hotel in very poor condition, and a shortage of qualified staff. It is relatively easy to provoke her irritation or explosiveness, as others quickly discover. Angel Dust perceives that Vaggie is particularly distrustful of men. Husk believes that Vaggie is aggressive toward those around her because deep down she hates herself and that act is a way to protect herself. Loyal and kind to those she cares about, but with little patience and trust, Vaggie tends to be very reactive and often adopts an immediate defensive stance (with an offense prepared) when dealing with potential threats, whether toward herself or Charlie. When she was an Exorcist, Adam described her as one of his favorite girls, suggesting she was previously very ruthless, given that, like many Exorcists, she slaughtered thousands of sinners during the annual Extermination. However, she changed her mind upon encountering an defenseless child sinner in an alley and let them go, unable to bring herself to kill them. Unfortunately, Lute caught her defying her role and proceeded to gouge out her left eye and tear off her wings, while referring to her as "sinful filth," shortly before abandoning her in Hell. Shortly after, she met Charlie, who provided her with first aid. Both fell in love, and Vaggie became loyal and protective. This may have also helped Vaggie abandon most of her cruelties and improve. However, she also came to see herself as a weapon and a defender rather than as a person. In the second season, she slowly made her way to seeing herself as a person rather than a weapon and a defender. Additionally, since Adam gave her her name and she considered it demeaning, Vaggie had been trying to create a new name, and in "Curtain Call" she decided to use "Vaggie." Despite abandoning her past and beliefs as an exorcist, she kept her spear for protection and still distrusts sinners who could pose a threat to her and Charlie. As of the second season, Vaggie does not seem to carry her spear with her at all times and communicates more easily with others. ABILITIES Angelic physiology: As a fallen angel, she retains superhuman physical characteristics such as strength, speed, agility, endurance, and reflexes inherent to her angelic nature. Her wings also allow her to fly, and her stamina is notably higher than that of most demons thanks to her celestial heritage. Flight: When she was an exorcist angel, she had wings until Lute tore them off. She regains them in "Hello Rosie!" after training with Carmilla Carmine. Wing manifestation: Vaggie can manifest and hide her wings at will. However, she might need free space on the back of her suit to place them, as seen when she uses her spear to rip the back of her battle suit in "The Show Must Go On." Husk

Husk is a sinner demon, a grumpy gambler and magician, and a former Overlord of Hell who is one of the main characters of Hazbin Hotel. After losing his soul and status to Alastor in a bet, he was summoned alongside Niffty to work at the Hazbin Hotel, where he serves as the receptionist and bartender. Despite losing his Overlord status, Husk retains the power of one, being able to stand up to Velvette in "It's A Deal" and Valentino in "Curtain Call". APPEARANCE Husk is an anthropomorphic avian feline demon. His appearance evokes a magician, with a theme reminiscent of casino cards. His eye sclera is black, with light yellow irises and slit pupils. He has large, long, red, feather-like eyebrows with black vertical stripes near the tips and a small black heart above each eyebrow. His fur is a dark taupe color, with a white coat on his face, torso, paws, and the upper part of his arms. The inside of his ears is white with a red tip and a red heart in the center. A tuft of black fluff sticks out from each one, creating the appearance of small hearts. He has darker fur surrounding his ankles, mimicking pant cuffs. His tail is long and dark taupe, topped with a large amount of vibrant red feathers with white and black stripes. He has light yellow, heart-shaped pads under his hands and feet. His wings are large and red, with a darker grayish tone on the underside. The underside of the wings is decorated with black stripes featuring red and white polka dot markings, similar to a roulette wheel. The outer part of the wings is decorated with more black stripes surrounding the joints and a row of white dots, similar to a roulette wheel. Husk wears simple, minimalist clothing consisting of a black top hat with a red band and a gold button-like decoration, a red bow tie around his neck, and a pair of black trousers held up by black suspenders over his shoulders. Pilot In the pilot, Husk's appearance is almost the same, only with a few differences; his sclera was a maroon-brown, his irises, paw pads, and teeth were colored a bright orangey-yellow, his pupils were rounder, he had stripes and darker colored tips on his hair tufts and ears respectively, and the inside of his ears was composed of three pastel red stripes. His wings also had a different design: they were mainly red both on the outside and underneath, with stripes the same color as his fur. The markings, instead, consisted of white and red spade, club, and heart shapes. In addition to his clothes, he only wore his top hat and bow tie. PERSONALITY Husk is a grumpy, lazy, and somewhat apathetic old sinner whose interests in Hell are now centered primarily on gambling, parlor games, and prolific drinking. During "Loser, Baby", several of the neon signs above Husk relate to scams, likely in reference to his use of shady means for personal gain. He can be blunt, distant, sarcastic, prone to swearing, and has a biting sense of humor. Despite this, he is also surprisingly patient and able to calmly accept many unusual events, choosing to forget his problems by drinking. He is very observant, with the ability to read people and understand their problems well (even when they don't understand them themselves), which allows him to quickly detect when someone is being insincere with him, something he does not enjoy. He values authenticity and seems to understand himself and his own issues well, openly accepting that his dependence on alcohol and gambling have not helped him feel better. He is surprisingly empathetic and willing to listen without judgment to those in need, and shows a sweeter, more protective side to those he connects with more deeply. However, he is also somewhat insensitive when pointing out delicate aspects of other people, such as when he bluntly shares the flaws of Charlie, Vaggie, and Sir Pentious in "Masquerade", and was quick to point out that Charlie has issues with her father, even when she says otherwise, in "Dad Beat Dad". Husk also supports someone standing up for themselves and demonstrates self-respect, such as in "Welcome to Heaven", where Angel Dust encounters Valentino at a sex club and stands up to him for the first time to protect Niffty. Husk congratulates Angel. When Vox judges Charlie's dream and Angel's desire for redemption in "Hazbin Hotel: Behind Closed Doors", Husk firmly defends his friends' goals. Thanks to his growing bond with Angel as he understands they lived similar situations due to their contracts, Husk began to appreciate the residents of the hotel and felt compelled to guide Angel to become a better version of himself. Still a "shell" of his former self, he claims to have "lost the ability to love" long ago, though it is unclear if it is literal or metaphorical. What is clear is that he lost his Overlord status after making a deal with Alastor in an attempt to save his power after betting away all his souls. Although Alastor forced him to reside at the Hotel as part of their deal, Husk eventually became friends with the residents. In "Scream Rain", Husk decides to leave the hotel due to Alastor being captured by the Vees and returns to his gambling habits. However, after a heartfelt conversation with Angel, he recognizes that the hotel was ultimately his home and decides to return, now with a new perspective on the friendships he had forged. Seeing Charlie and Emily in danger while joining forces to contain Lilith's power, Husk is the first to join them to contain the laser cannon and save Pentagram City. Beneath his tough exterior, Husk hides a sensitive side, as evidenced by his regret over his death and his attempts to cope with his failure as an Overlord through drink. Husk shows genuine concern and pain for his loved ones, such as when he is horrified at the presumed death of Sir Pentious and becomes enraged when he sees Angel being mistreated or manipulated by Valentino, in addition to openly lamenting his departure from the Hotel after Vox's hypnosis ends. HISTORY Past Details about the events of Husk's life have yet to be revealed, but according to VivziePop, Husk is originally from Las Vegas and grew up in a casino there. His familiarity with the fast-paced gambling atmosphere, as well as his multilingualism, is the result of his upbringing. It was in Las Vegas that Husk's huge passion for stage magic grew, as he would roam the casino entertainment areas to watch the shows that took place when he was a child. He was also a professional saxophonist, playing in various bars in Las Vegas. At some point, Husk became a magician, but he has also been described as "burnt out", "bitter", and above all "old-fashioned", which implies that while Husk may well have progressed to become a successful stage magician at one point, it was a career that apparently would not end well for him. It is known that Husk traveled a lot, though it is still unclear during what part of his life and whether it was across the United States or also around the world. Although the cause of Husk's death is still unknown, he died as a relatively old man, in his 60s or 70s. Upon dying, he was sentenced to Hell, where he took the form of a cat demon with wings and a magician/casino theme. Initially, he hated his demon form, though he has come to accept it during his stay in Hell. In hell, Husk is an alcoholic and a big gambler.

Niffty

Niffty is a sinner demon who works as the maid, cook, and pest controller of the Hazbin Hotel. She is one of the main characters of Hazbin Hotel. She was summoned by Alastor along with Husk to work with Charlie Morningstar at the hotel. After stabbing Adam to death in "The Show Must Go On," Niffty became a well-known and popular figure among the citizens of Hell. APPEARANCE Niffty is a small, slender cyclops demon with spiky limbs, white skin, and one large eye. Her eye features a light yellow iris, thick eyelashes, a deep pink sclera with a yellow gradient, and a large, clipped pupil. When she feels homicidal, her pupil shrinks and her eye develops black veins. Her short, reddish-pink hair reaches her chin and is styled in a slightly messy, choppy 1950s-style bob with a curl on each side and a single light yellow strand on top. Her mouth features sharp, pale yellow teeth inside, black lips, and small deep pink dots at the corners. Niffty's outfit consists of a black scarf around her neck and a 1950s-style red-pink maid dress under a white apron with three deep pink spots. She also wears long black gloves that cover most of her hands and arms, along with stockings of the same color. Pilot In the pilot, her skin was light yellow and her hair appeared shaggier, with a single amber strand. Her lips were also maroon. Her outfit, while still 1950s-themed, consisted of a burgundy scarf, a short-sleeved white blouse with three fuchsia-pink spots, and a flared red and pink poodle skirt, very fashionable in the 50s, which sported a dark burgundy poodle with yellow polka dots. Her gloves and stockings were the same color as the poodle pattern on her skirt. PERSONALITY Niffty is hyperactive, spontaneous, a bit sadistic, and agile, with great reflexes. She is easily entertained, distracted, and excited. She dislikes clutter in any room and has a fixation on men in general. However, she seems to only like "bad boys," including a brief obsession with Sir Pentious. This ends with her kicking him in frustration after he apologizes and decides to seek redemption at the hotel. She isn't afraid to get dirty and enjoys cleaning up everyone's messes with a cheerful yet creepy charm. She is very focused on the things she is ordered to do, like in "The Show Must Go On" when she was ordered to stab angels and obsessively stabbed every angel she could, including Adam, whom she managed to kill. She also briefly tried to stab Angel Dust when Charlie asked Niffty to stab angels (referring to Heaven's angels) if she saw one before the battle. In an interview for 666 News, Niffty told them, "Charlie told me to stab, so I did." She is also very loyal to those she considers her friends, such as when she helped and defended Baxter when Velvette confronted them in "Curtain Call," saying, "Vaggie told me to protect Baxter, so I'm going to protect Baxter." She is seen enjoying violence, as she was very excited to be thrown into a war zone as part of Vaggie's trust training, and later declared that she enjoyed it when Sir Pentious had an arm amputated. Despite all her perversity, she has certain criteria for seeing someone as "bad," as she openly scolds Sir Pentious for not being a bad boy when he was apologizing for trying to spy on everyone. She seems to have masochistic tendencies, as seen by enjoying the pain of falling off a stage inside the hotel and then jumping repeatedly. She is also hinted to be sadistic, manifesting a desire to "punish" people in a BDSM dungeon. She even openly claims to kill mother insects in front of their young as a form of intimidating pest control. When she successfully stabs Adam, she even enjoys the thrill of having achieved her goal by repeatedly stabbing the already-fallen archangel before calmly walking away, ensuring his death. She is also shown to suffer from what is presumed to be severe stage fright, as whenever a camera begins to film her, she enters a hypnotic trance state where she does not move, blink, or speak, simply staring at the camera until the recording ends. However, she can overcome her shyness if she believes the camera is a "big cockroach." Niffty has an extreme hyper-fixation on cleanliness, constantly cleaning the hotel, and possesses a great obsession with getting rid of any bug or pest she sees, to the point of pulling out a knife just to kill them. Even when she is taken out of the hotel, she constantly tries to clean any mess, even at the sex club where Cherri Bomb takes her, the rest of the staff, and the residents for a drink, where she tries to steal cleaning supplies from a closet. She also dislikes being called "messy," as shown when Angel Dust catches her cleaning obsessively and tries to steal the aforementioned cleaning supplies. Calling her "messy" makes her cry until Angel calms her down. She collects things from men she is obsessed with, like when she ripped a piece of skin off Valentino's neck to keep for her "collection." In the pilot, it was shown that she had a traditional, stereotypical view of gender roles, and she is aware that she might be offensive. This could also be seen in her fight against Velvette, where she mocks her with a "You hit like a girl." Despite her own traits, in her own song "Cleaning Up," Niffty says she really believes in Charlie's redemption project, and despite considering sinners to be idiots and total "trash," she truly believes in the dream and loves working at the hotel, thinking of Charlie as a pretty nice boss, although cleaning the hotel still seems to be her favorite reason for staying. HISTORY Niffty was born sometime in 1936 as a human. She died sometime in 1958 at the young age of 22. During her stay in Hell, she met Alastor and became acquainted with him. Then, some time later, she met Husk and he also joined her working with Alastor. It is unknown what kind of association the two had, although she can be seen in a flashback as one of his allies. Hazbin Hotel Pilot When Vaggie explains Alastor's origins to Angel Dust, Niffty's silhouette can be seen behind Alastor along with several Overlords. Niffty is summoned to the Happy Hotel by Alastor. When Alastor offers Charlie Morningstar his help with her hotel, he calls Niffty to be the hotel's maid, and she is summoned through the fireplace fire and Alastor picks her up while she opens an eye and looks at the others and when the smoke dissipates from her body Alastor introduces her. Once she arrives at the hotel, she greets them and tells them it's been a while since she made new friends and asks why they are all women and asks if there are any men there while she picks up Charlie, apologizes as that was rude, and notices how dirty the hotel was and notices it could use a feminine touch, which she calls strange since they are all women there and starts cleaning everything as fast as possible. This continues during Alastor's song, quickly picking up a skull that had been kicked by the Radio Demon. When Sir Pentious blows up one of the walls with his airship, Niffty is hit by some debris, but presumably cleans it up before joining the others outside to watch with glee as Alastor destroys it and l

Carmilla

Carmilla Carmine is a demon and one of the many powerful Overlords of Hell. She is a major supporting character in Hazbin Hotel who debuted in the episode "Scrambled Eggs". As Hell's primary arms dealer, Carmilla is the owner and founder of Carmine Industries, her weapons manufacturing company that has innovated with angelic weaponry. In "Hello Rosie!", Carmilla provided angelic weaponry to Charlie Morningstar and her friends to defend themselves from the Extermination after forming a close bond with Vaggie. In "Out for Love", Carmilla reluctantly partnered with Vox to build an angelic weapon, a massive cannon known as the "Lilith's Power", to aid in Vox's war against Heaven. This agreement resulted in the breaking of Carmilla's alliance with her fellow Overlord, Zestial. In "Curtain Call", upon seeing the destruction and death caused by Vox, Carmilla decides to help the Hazbin Hotel team save Pentagram City from the Lilith's Power, after which Zestial became an ally to Carmilla again. APPEARANCE Carmilla Carmine is a tall, humanoid demon with an hourglass figure and medium bust, light gray skin, and very long, thick white hair with a dark brown streak in her bangs. She usually wears her hair up in two long, large beehive-shaped horns, held by thin black ribbons, but when she lets it down, it is voluminous and reaches her calves. She also wears a black headband. She has black lips and small fangs visible inside. Additionally, she possesses a mark of a darker shade than her skin's gray, similar to a mask wrapping around her eyes, which have white irises, bright red sclera, and slit pupils. Her arms are slender and her hands large, extending from the deltoids downwards, being quite large in proportion to her body, with black, pointed nails. She also has arched wrists, rather than arms tapering at the wrists like humans and most demons. Carmilla wears an outfit similar to a ballerina's, consisting of a short-sleeved, Bardot-neckline black dress with two small white buttons on the left side and a white stripe on the front and at the edge of the studded white skirt, which has a carmine red lining. She also wears long white opera gloves and black thigh-high stockings. Carmilla walks on her tiptoes in her white pointe shoes, tied with very long white ribbons that reach her thighs. In "Hello Rosie!" it is revealed that they are made of angelic steel. Furthermore, she sports black hoop earrings, even though her lobes are not visible. In the flashback of the most recent extermination before the pilot episode, she is seen wearing a tight, black, short-sleeved battle suit with white veins running down her shoulders, chest, and narrow waist. The suit consists of black pants that highlight her long legs with her usual pointe shoes, a white belt with X-shaped straps tied around her hips, a white V-neckline bordering her collarbone, and her long opera gloves are accompanied by white stripes that separate them from her deltoids. PERSONALITY Carmilla appears to be very professional, although she can lose her temper, especially when her friends are insulted or her family is in danger. Zestial states that losing her temper is unlike her, indicating that she is usually calm and sensible. Carmilla feels a deep devotion to her family, a result of the loss of a loved one long ago. She loves and cares for her daughters fervently, willing to cross any line to protect them, even if it means killing an exorcist angel knowingly of the disastrous consequences. She also cares for her fellow Overlord, Zestial, and is willing to protect him, as shown in "Whatever It Takes". Hypocritically, as Hell's top arms dealer, Carmilla wants to avoid resorting to violence and prevent war, but at the same time, she will do whatever is necessary to protect her loved ones, even if a protective action goes against her non-violence policies, such as her deal with Vox. She refuses to help Vaggie join Charlie's war against the exorcist angels due to the consequences threatening her daughters' safety, but feels pride when she shows Vaggie the weakness in the exorcist angel's fighting style and motivates her to "fight for love". When she finally recognized that Vox's actions would doom both Hell and Heaven, Carmilla finally turned against him and helped Vaggie and her friends contain the Lilith's Power. Despite having good intentions, such as protecting her loved ones, she can also be very stubborn. This was demonstrated when she agreed to join the winning side and build the Lilith's Power for Vox's war solely to protect her family and Zestial, even when she did not want to do so, which cost her her alliance with Zestial. She even refused to help Vaggie disable the weapon at first, until, after witnessing the destruction it caused in Hell, she changed her mind. HISTORY Chapter 1 – Overture Carmilla does not appear physically nor participate in the episode's events. While Charlie tries to convince Heaven to accept the Hazbin Hotel project and the rest of the characters discover that the next Extermination will be in six months, Carmilla continues managing her empire of manufacturing and distributing angelic weapons alongside her daughters, Odette and Clara. Chapter 2 – Radio Killed the Video Star Her only participation is indirect. When Vox discovers that Alastor has returned after seven years, he mentions Carmilla while organizing moves with other Overlords. She does not appear on screen, but it is established that she remains a very important figure within Hell's arms market. Chapter 3 – Scrambled Eggs Carmilla makes her first major appearance by convening a meeting among the Overlords to talk about an unprecedented event: an Exorcist was killed during the last Extermination. She leads the meeting alongside her daughters and warns that such an event could lead to a war between Heaven and Hell if discovered. During the meeting, Velvette openly challenges her and accuses her of being too passive, hinting that the Overlords should take advantage of the situation to face Heaven. Carmilla completely rejects that idea because she believes starting a war will only bring more death. Although she remains calm in the face of Velvette's provocations, she makes it clear that she does not intend to reveal how the Exorcist died, deliberately hiding that she was the one who killed him. Chapter 4 – Masquerade Carmilla does not participate in the episode's events. While Charlie tries to help Angel Dust with Valentino and Husk gets Angel to open up about his situation, Carmilla remains outside the story. Chapter 5 – Dad Beat Dad She also does not appear during Lucifer's visit to the Hazbin Hotel nor during the conflict between Alastor and Mimzy. She has no participation in this episode. Chapter 6 – Welcome to Heaven While Charlie and Vaggie travel to Heaven, Carmilla does not appear. However, the revelation that Vaggie was an Exorcist indirectly sets up the next episode, where both will interact for the first time. Chapter 7 – Hello, Rosie! After discovering that Carmilla was the one who killed the Exorcist, Vaggie goes to find her to ask for help. At first, Carmilla refuses to tell the truth because she fears Hell will go to war if her secret comes to light. Zestial

Zestial is a demon and one of the many powerful Overlords of Hell, as well as the oldest living Overlord in power. He made a cameo in the pilot and his official debut in "Scrambled Eggs." In "Silenced," Zestial was unconvinced by Vox's proposal to rebel against Heaven and did not join him. Furthermore, he leaves Carmilla after she agrees to help Vox create a powerful angelic weapon in "Rain of Screams." In "Curtain Call," Zestial helps the Hazbin Hotel team save Pentagram City from the overload of Lilith's power, after which he becomes an ally of Carmilla once again. APPEARANCE Zestial is a very tall, thin, spider-like demon with dark gray skin and four lime-green eyes. He wears completely black clothing, with a night-black cloak that covers almost his entire body. When Zestial unfurls his cloak, his eyes glow and the upper ones turn red. He also wears red and black boots. On the front of his cloak is a large black spider with lime-green stripes on its eight legs, as well as lime-green eyes and the same color on its back. The inside of the cloak is lime green with a spiderweb pattern and four red legs that extend along it. He also wears a distinctive large black top hat with a light gray patch on the front, along with a gray skull and a lime-green and maroon striped feather on the right side. PERSONALITY Zestial speaks with an archaic dialect reminiscent of Early Modern English. He has a very sophisticated way of speaking and usually remains calm instead of getting easily angered, such as when Velvette mocks him. However, despite his bearing, he can be somewhat petty: he slurps his tea loudly to interrupt Velvette mid-sentence before opposing her proposal to fight the Exorcists. His reputation is such that demons fear him, hiding or cowering whenever he walks by, even one of his fellow Overlords, Prick. Zestial's mere presence causes a civilian to catch fire from fear. Zestial has also shown a more sadistic side, stating he "revels in the screams" while talking to Alastor about the possibility of acid rain. In keeping with his advanced age, Zestial is extremely patient and cautious, telling Velvette that they should not take immediate action despite having proof that Exorcists can be killed, for fear of potential repercussions, as he deduced that going to war with Heaven without knowing how to fight angels would result in them purging all of Hell for attempting to rebel. As shown in "Silenced," unlike the vast majority of Overlords, Zestial was not fooled by Vox's offer to declare war on Heaven after defeating Alastor, knowing full well that while Vox boasted of his loyalty to Hell and his progress, he was only loyal to himself. In "Rain of Screams," Zestial predicted that Vox's actions would only bring ruin, strongly advising Carmilla not to collaborate with him. He is also compassionate to those close to him, sensing Carmilla's tension after a meeting with the Overlord and offering her support so she could vent her worries. Later, when Vox corners Carmilla and convinces her to ally with him, Zestial again shows his affection and strongly advises her to distance herself from Vox. However, despite his deep friendship with Carmilla, his survival instinct and prudence prevent him from supporting her while she collaborates with Vox, stating that he will only come to her again when she reconsiders her alliance. HISTORY Chapter 3 – Scrambled Eggs Zestial makes his official debut when he meets Alastor on the streets of Hell. He greets him cordially and remarks that it has been seven years since he last saw him. He also mentions the rumors circulating about Alastor's disappearance, including that some believed he had died at the hands of angelic weapons. Alastor denies those rumors and responds that he simply took a break. Both converse amicably before heading to the Overlord meeting together. During the meeting called by Carmilla Carmine, Zestial remains calm while the Overlords discuss the death of an Exorcist. He listens to the others' theories without getting upset and watches as Velvette interrupts the meeting to provoke Carmilla. When Velvette begins to insult him and mock his appearance and his archaic way of speaking, Zestial does not lose his composure or respond with violence, demonstrating the enormous self-control he possesses. At the end of the meeting, he leaves with Carmilla, making it clear that they maintain a very close friendship and a relationship based on mutual trust. Chapter 7 – Hello, Rosie! Zestial appears briefly talking to Carmilla after Vaggie visits her to ask for help. Both talk about the situation in Hell and the growing possibility of a conflict with Heaven. Zestial listens to Carmilla's concerns and remains by her side as her main confidant. Although his participation is small, he once again proves that he is one of the few Overlords whom Carmilla truly trusts. Chapter 8 – The Show Must Go On During the Extermination, Zestial does not participate directly in the battle at the Hazbin Hotel. He is seen with Carmilla as they observe the development of the attack and remain prepared to defend their own territory if necessary. After the defeat of Adam and the end of the Extermination, he continues to be one of the most influential Overlords in Hell and maintains his alliance with Carmilla intact. Chapter 1 – New Pentious Zestial does not have a major role, but he appears during the initial meeting of the Overlords after Adam's defeat. He observes how the balance of power in Hell is changing and listens to Vox's plan to take advantage of the Hazbin Hotel's success and launch an offensive against Heaven. Unlike other Overlords, Zestial does not give an immediate response and prefers to analyze the situation before taking sides. Chapter 5 – Silenced Vox gathers several Overlords to convince them to join his campaign against Heaven. Zestial listens to the proposal but is not impressed and refuses to support him, considering that starting another war will only bring more destruction. His refusal puts him at odds with Carmilla when she begins to consider collaborating with Vox. Despite the respect he feels for her, he decides to stand firm in his position and temporarily distances himself from his old friend. Chapter 8 – Curtain Call When Vox's plan threatens to destroy Pentagram City, Zestial stops standing on the sidelines and fights alongside the Hazbin Hotel and several Overlords to stop the overload of Lilith's power. During the battle, he also collaborates with Carmilla again, leaving behind the conflict that had arisen between them. After Vox's defeat, they both restore their alliance and Zestial continues to occupy his place as one of the oldest, most powerful, and most respected Overlords of Hell. ABILITIES Longevity: Zestial has lived for a very long time, being known for being the oldest Overlord of Hell. Bioluminescence: Zestial's eyes can glow, and parts of his spider accessory can glow when he unfurls his cloak. Conjuration: Zestial is capable of creating objects out of thin air, wrapped in a cloud of lime-green smoke with green skulls. He demonstrates this in "Scrambled Eggs," where he manages to create a teacup and saucer during the Overlord meeting. Rosie, who co-owned and later became the sole owner of Rosie's Emporium after Franklin's death, is one of the many Overlords of Hell. She first appeared in the Hazbin Hotel pilot episode and made her official debut in the episode "Scrambled Eggs." As revealed in "It's a Deal," Rosie owns Alastor's soul, after he, while human, made a pact with her to become the most powerful sinner in Hell upon his death. In "Curtain Call," Alastor manages to break the deal with Rosie by using Charlie, making her say that Vox is the most powerful sinner in Hell. Subsequently, Alastor proposes a new deal: he would help her prevent Lilith's power from overloading if she repaired his staff. APPEARANCE Rosie is a very tall and slender humanoid demon, taller than Alastor, with wide hips, pale gray skin, and a mouth with black lips and sharp, light pink teeth. She also has rosy cheeks, short white and gray chin-length hair in a 1910s bob cut with pink highlights, and like all residents of Cannibal Town, her eyes are completely black, without irises or pupils, and she shows no physical sign of having a nose. Rosie's attire evokes 1910s high fashion. It consists of a large, ostentatious maroon sun hat, adorned with two grayish-pink and reddish-pink skulls, three dark burgundy floral decorations on the brim, and large black and reddish-pink feathers, respectively. Additionally, the hat features a ruffled pink trim and a black lining inside. She wears a pale maroon and pale burgundy dress with puffed shoulder pads, thin pale maroon spiral stripes over the black high collar, black piping around the waist and on the ruffled long sleeve cuffs, and three black stripes and black piping on the hem. Under the dress, she wears low-heeled black shoes. Pilot In the pilot episode, Rosie's appearance is almost the same, only her hair was grayish-pink and one of the feathers on her hat was a slightly darker shade of reddish-pink. PERSONALITY Rosie is presented as a very capable, eloquent, and friendly demon [3], with a sense of elegance [note 1] and a retro air. She enjoys things of yesteryear, such as 1910s music and fashion. Rosie usually shows great composure. In "Scrambled Eggs," she was seen quiet during the meeting organized by Carmilla Carmine between her fellow Overlords to discuss the new extermination schedule. Rosie respectfully greeted her fellow Overlords as they headed to the meeting room. When Velvette revealed the Exorcist's severed head, Rosie was surprised but remained silent as she watched Velvette argue with Zestial and Carmilla about what to do about it. Rosie seemed to agree with Zestial's idea of not rushing into a war against Heaven, based on the simple proof that it is possible to kill Exorcists, which showed that she preferred caution to the arrogance and overconfidence of Velvette and the Vees. Despite her patient attitude during most of the meeting, Rosie showed surprise and indignation when Velvette repeatedly disrespected her fellow Overlords, suggesting that she could only tolerate so much before the offense harmed her associates. In "Hello, Rosie!" her personality is explored further, where Rosie is shown to be kind and charming when interacting and socializing with others. Among the residents of Cannibal Town, Rosie is kind and benevolent to the cannibals who visit her Emporium, offering them advice or her personal help to solve their problems. Later, after cordially greeting Alastor, Rosie kindly greeted Charlie and, without wasting time, showed herself to be an exceptional hostess, offering her a place to sit and rest, food, and, finally, willing to listen to her problems, thus demonstrating her kindness and generosity. Rosie is especially kind and affectionate with those she considers her friends, like Alastor, whom she greeted with enthusiasm after reuniting with him after his "sabbatical." After meeting Charlie and feeling sympathy for her, Rosie kindly offered to listen to her dilemma and repeatedly gave her suggestions on how to overcome it. During this conversation, Rosie was very empathetic and understanding not only with Charlie, but also with Vaggie, from whom she correctly deduced that she was ashamed of her past and did not want to reveal it to Charlie for fear of being rejected. Due to her past experiences, Rosie believes that words are worthless and that only actions prove the truth, especially when she commented that Vaggie's attempt to make up for her past actions by helping Charlie was a sign of the love Vaggie felt for her. However, despite her usual kindness, Rosie proves to have a dark side as an Overlord. After the pilot episode's extermination, Rosie was not particularly sensitive to the death of her companion, Franklin, as she is seen crossing his name off her sign, seemingly unbothered. Rosie is also very intelligent and cunning, as shown when she possesses deep knowledge of territorial disputes in certain areas of Pentagram City between the various demon factions in the city. Rosie herself can be quite authoritative and intimidating with the cannibals when she wants to, and she can lead them effectively, being fully aware of their mentality and offering Charlie good advice on how to properly persuade them to help her. Alastor himself attributes the relative peace and quiet of Cannibal Town, especially compared to the rest of Hell, to Rosie's excellent leadership. She also collaborates with Alastor to ensure their mutual success as Overlords, as seen when she offered him information about a territory he could easily conquer with the right deal. Later, after Charlie successfully convinced the cannibals of Cannibal Town to help her, Rosie noticed Charlie's charisma and the immense power she had inherited from her father, and she agreed with Alastor that, ultimately, siding with her would be beneficial for both of them in the future. Rosie also delights in the macabre atmosphere of Cannibal Town, being indifferent and even friendly toward its cannibalistic tendencies, plus her Emporium sells numerous cannibal delicacies. Rosie even offered Charlie a demon leg and some pinky fingers as a sign of hospitality when she arrived at her Emporium. Rosie also possesses a macabre humor and a particular lightheartedness, such as when she laughs while recalling Alastor's anticlimactic death as a human, much to his displeasure. Her joy at Alastor's expense is most evident here, as well as a more complex relationship with the Radio Demon. Unlike the violent treatment of Valentino and Alastor toward Angel and Husk, respectively, Rosie enjoys teasing Alastor about his predicament in "Don't Forget," while reminding him of their pact and even referring to him as her pet. HISTORY Chapter 7 – Hello, Rosie! Rosie makes her first appearance when Alastor takes Charlie to Cannibal Town to ask for her help before the Extermination. She welcomes both with great warmth and immediately shows the close friendship she maintains with Alastor, treating him with enormous trust and affection. After meeting Charlie, Rosie immediately perceives that she is nervous about having to convince the cannibals to join the defense of the Hazbin Hotel. Lilith is the Queen of Hell and a future main character in Hazbin Hotel. She is Charlie's mother and the estranged wife of Lucifer Morningstar. Lilith was the first human woman created by the angels and was cast into Hell alongside Lucifer as punishment for accidentally corrupting humanity. Together, they ruled Hell with Charlie until seven years before the events of the series, as revealed in "Overture". Lilith has been absent ever since, not even answering her family's calls. In "The Show Must Go On", it is revealed that Lilith currently resides in Heaven for unknown reasons, but after Adam's death, Lute threatened to banish her unless she stopped Charlie's plans. However, in "Storyteller", Lute left her alone after Sera ordered her to cancel all her plans, thus allowing her to remain in Heaven. At the end of "Curtain Call", Lilith finally calls Charlie back after being informed about the hotel's new developments. APPEARANCE Lilith is a tall humanoid demon with an hourglass figure and very pale pink skin. Her height is notable, as she towers over her husband and daughter. Her eyes appear to have light violet irises, very pale yellow sclera, slit pupils, and long, thick eyelashes. Her very long, ankle-length hair is blonde with thick honey-colored streaks, and it perpetually waves in the air, even when she is not moving. She is seen with a pair of large, curled magenta horns, which vary noticeably depending on the setting, due to her ability to change the shape of her horns at will. [Note 1] She is seen wearing makeup consisting of bright plum eyeshadow and dark magenta lipstick. In a family portrait, Lilith is seen dressed in an extravagant gold tiara adorned with small red jewels, a white pearl choker around her neck, a long, shimmering magenta dress with a sweetheart illusion neckline, and a pair of darker opera gloves covering most of her hands and arms. In Heaven, Lilith sports black-painted nails and wears a large, dark magenta sun hat with a plum ribbon that covers her eyes, a necklace with a diamond-shaped ruby pendant, a backless and sleeveless sweetheart-neckline dress of the same color as her hat that reaches her feet, and black strappy heeled sandals that resemble vines. She accessorizes her outfit with black sunglasses with magenta lenses. Pilot In the pilot episode, Lilith's appearance was almost identical, only her eyes had white irises and lilac-pink sclera, and she was seen wearing a black tiara shaped like thorns. PERSONALITY Although little is known about Lilith's personality, the book "The History of Hell" suggests she rebels against authoritarianism, as demonstrated when she rejects Adam's control and humiliation. Despite being sent to Hell and turned into a demon as punishment, she thrived as queen and empowered her people. Furthermore, she was loving, as she fell deeply in love with Lucifer Morningstar and together they had a daughter, Charlie. Lilith was portrayed as a devoted mother to Charlie, deeply attached to her family, and passed on her dreams for Hell to her daughter. However, the revelation that Lilith had been in Heaven for the last seven years has called into question her personality and her true feelings toward her family and Hell itself, as she apparently made a deal with Adam to stay there, relaxing alone on a beach while deliberately rejecting all calls from Lucifer and Charlie. As stated by her daughter, Lilith was a natural-born leader, capable of remaining calm and composed when everyone in Hell turned to her for leadership and guidance in times of crisis, not being as affected by the intense pressure of leadership as her daughter and husband. Charlie noted that Lilith could be extremely stubborn when she set her mind to something, as she had a tendency to ignore anything she considered irrelevant to achieving her goals. Due to her influence, the sinners of Hell admired her and longed for the idea of rebelling against the exterminations of Heaven, but, as Charlie mentioned in "Scream Rain", despite this, she may have only had peaceful and pacifist intentions, wishing only to empower them so they could protect themselves and with no desire to declare war or antagonize Heaven in a hostile manner. HISTORY ## **Lilith Morningstar – Known History (Hazbin Hotel)** Lilith was the first wife of Lucifer Morningstar and, together with him, one of the first people expelled from Eden. After falling to Hell, they both began a new life and eventually their daughter, Charlie Morningstar, was born. While Lucifer gradually lost hope and interest in ruling Hell, Lilith took on a much more active role among the sinners. From the early years of Hell, Lilith became a figure beloved by many demons. She was known for her voice and for the songs she performed, which inspired hope and gave strength to the inhabitants of Hell to keep going despite their condemnation. Thanks to that charisma, she ended up being considered the **Queen of Hell**, while Lucifer remained increasingly isolated. Charlie grew up deeply admiring her mother. It was Lilith who taught her that sinners could aspire to something better and who nurtured her desire to help others. Much of Charlie's idealism comes directly from Lilith's teachings. However, approximately **seven years before the start of the series**, Lilith disappeared from Hell without giving any explanation. Her absence coincided with Alastor's disappearance, although the series never confirms that both events are related. While Charlie continued to try to contact her without success, Lucifer was also separated from his wife and ended up isolating himself even more emotionally. During the first season, Lilith barely appears directly. Charlie keeps several family photographs where she can be seen together with Lucifer and her when she was little. There are also several mentions of the songs that Lilith used to sing to the people of Hell and how they inspired millions of demons. The biggest reveal comes in the post-credits scene of the last episode of the first season. There it is discovered that Lilith is neither missing nor dead. In reality, she is living on a beach in **Heaven**, enjoying a quiet life far from Hell. The scene reveals that she maintains some type of agreement with Heaven, although it is not yet explained what it consists of. While she rests, **Lute** appears, seriously wounded after the battle against Charlie and Lucifer. Lute informs her that Adam has died and tells her that her agreement with Heaven is over. She then demands that she return to Hell to solve the problem that has arisen. The conversation makes it clear that Lilith has been collaborating in some way with Heaven and that her stay there depended on Adam. However, neither Lute nor Lilith explains exactly what that deal was. Until the end of the first season, many mysteries still remain about her: * It is not known why she abandoned Charlie and Lucifer. * It is unknown why she agreed to live in Heaven after having been expelled. * It has not been revealed what Heaven obtained in exchange for allowing her to remain there. * It is also not known if she still supports Charlie's dream or if she now has other goals. * The possible connection between her disappearance and Alastor's remains a mystery. Sera is a Seraphim angel and a former antagonist turned major supporting character in Hazbin Hotel, who made her debut in "Welcome to Heaven." She is the High Seraphim of Heaven and the one who authorized the annual Extermination in Hell. After personally witnessing the redemption of the sinner demon Sir Pentious, Sera set out to change the rules of Heaven under the guidance of the Voice of God. APPEARANCE Humanoid Form In her humanoid form, Sera has the appearance of a very tall and slender woman with cedar-colored skin, black lips, white freckles, and a white stripe running across her nose. Additionally, she has hip-length hair, dyed with a silver gradient and styled in curls. Her eyes have white irises, grayish-blue sclera, dark purple pupils, and thick dark purple lashes protruding from them. Above her lashes is a pair of longer, holographic-looking lashes in a slightly paler dark purple shade. Her eyelids are the same color as her holographic lashes. She also has six feathered wings on her back that are light periwinkle and white, a white halo decorated with large crown-shaped spikes and blue gem-like circles, and a second halo that floats above the first. Sera wears a royal-inspired outfit consisting of a two-layered periwinkle-gray dress. The first part of the dress is gray with a sweetheart neckline, a light blue high collar, white and gray Juliet sleeves with triangular edges, and a white belt. The second part is light blue with gray diamond patterns and a white underskirt with similar diamond motifs. Angelic Form In her angelic form, Sera has an appearance similar to an owl: her skin is lighter, her hair is somewhat straighter, and her eyelashes are longer. She sports six large white wings on her back with celestial eyes, and her halo is much larger, with an eye floating below with a dark violet-blue eyelid. Her dress is notably more goddess-like, with wavy edges and celestial eyes on the hem and the puffed part of the sleeves. Full Holy Form In this form, Sera becomes much larger and is covered in white plumage, with an elongated neck and a jagged beak, similar to a dragon. Her three pairs of wings enlarge: one pair spreads out, another wraps around her body, and the third covers her feet. Additionally, three more pairs grow around her neck, which she uses for flight. Seven blue eyes float around Sera's head, and her halo enlarges. PERSONALITY Sera is shown as a kind and sensible person, attentive to those she interacts with and welcoming even to demons like Charlie and Vaggie. As High Seraphim, she takes her job very seriously, acting as the guarantor of order among the angels. This extends to her civilized demeanor, as she seems annoyed when Charlie uses profanity loudly in court. She prefers negotiation over violence in conflicts, such as when she is willing to listen to Charlie about her plan to solve the overpopulation crisis in Hell. Sera also shows a protective side to the angels she serves, particularly her fellow seraphim Emily, for whom she acts as a mother figure. Due to her peaceful nature, Sera deeply disapproves of Adam's childish and spiteful tendencies, as well as the more violent and bloodthirsty Exorcists, like Lute. This is evidenced when Sera disapproves of Adam's declaration that the Hazbin Hotel will be the first place he and his Exorcists will slaughter in the next Extermination. Sera considers his actions unjustified and disapproves of the pleasure and bloodlust Adam feels in doing so. Despite her gentle nature, Sera's firm dedication to stability and her willingness to do whatever is necessary to protect Heaven from chaos lead her to take controversial actions. This even motivated her to allow Adam's annual extermination. Her concern for other angels also influences these decisions, as she feared that Emily and other angels would suffer the same fate as Lucifer if they questioned Heaven's methods, even going so far as to shield Emily from the truth to ensure her happiness. Although she was complicit, Sera expresses regret and distress when making such decisions, stating that creating an Extermination to eliminate sinners annually was a difficult but necessary decision. Additionally, Sera demonstrated on numerous occasions that she felt great empathy for Charlie and her dreams of redeeming sinners, but ultimately considered it impossible to achieve, so she acted according to her judgment and what she believed was possible. This shows that, to maintain peace, Sera will resort to ruses to silence any questioning of the rules, even if it goes against her beliefs or ignores the opinions of other angels. This was evidenced later when Sera rejected Charlie's proposal to accept rehabilitated souls, even after acknowledging that the rules of redemption were unknown. Furthermore, despite regretting having allowed the Exterminations and having a strong sense of responsibility to protect Heaven, Sera has also proven to be somewhat negligent or irresponsible in directly handling matters related to the Extermination event she authorized, adopting a passive attitude by letting others take charge. This is evidenced repeatedly when she leaves almost everything related to the Extermination in the hands of Adam and Lute, without going into details about what exactly they are doing and largely leaving them to their own devices. This was also evidenced when Charlie traveled to Heaven to intercede for her before the Heavenly Court; to hide the Extermination from her fellow angels, Sera ordered Adam to do whatever was necessary to stop her, without bothering to take charge herself or explaining how he would do it. Her lack of control over her subordinates inevitably leads to Adam accidentally revealing the truth of the event to the rest of the members of the Court while spitting on Charlie, despite Sera's warnings. In the trial of "Welcome to Heaven," it is implied that Sera does not believe that sinners can be redeemed and ascend to Heaven, and at the climax of the trial, she stated that there was insufficient evidence to support Charlie's claim that sinners could be redeemed. Later, in "The Show Must Go On," upon seeing Sir Pentious become an angel and enter Heaven, Sera is visibly shocked. All of this is subsequently shown in "Storyteller" during Sir Pentious's trial after his ascension to Heaven, where Sera initially refuses to accept that redemption is possible, maintaining that souls cannot change their destiny and preferring to believe that Sir Pentious forced his way into Heaven or that St. Peter allowed him through the gate. However, after the Voice of God confirms that he was able to atone for his sins and become a purified soul, Sera finally accepts that it is possible for a soul to achieve redemption, and the revelation of the moment moves her so much that she even sheds a tear, and decides that Sir Pentious must remain under Heaven's care. After learning about the "Extermination," Emily promises Charlie Morningstar that she will help her in her dream of redeeming sinners. Later, she is seen trying to find a way to make amends for Heaven's mistakes and prevent a potential war against Hell. In "Massive Distraction Weapon" and "Curtain Call," Emily joined forces with Charlie and her friends to stop Vox's plan to conquer Heaven, saving the lives of many sinners, including Alastor himself, from the angelic weapon known as the "Power of Lilith," suffering a wound to her wing in the process. She collaborated with many Overlords, sinners, Charlie, and her friends to prevent the weapon from exploding and destroying Pentagram City. After confirming to everyone in Hell that redemption is possible and finally achieving peace between the realms, Emily now actively helps with the Hotel, constantly visiting Heaven and sending gifts, in addition to being in charge of welcoming future redeemed souls who ascend to Heaven. APPEARANCE Humanoid form In her humanoid form, Emily has the appearance of a tall, slim young woman, with silver skin, black lips, and hair that reaches her mid-thigh, with layered-style bangs, in a periwinkle blue gradient with visible white tips. Her eyes have light blue sclerae with darker pupils outlined in white and thick, dark indigo lashes. Her eyelids are perano-colored, while her three white freckles are located on each cheek and her nose. She also has six white feathered wings on her back; however, in the episode "Curtain Call," her center-left wing was mangled by the Power of Lilith and subsequently replaced by a golden cybernetic prosthesis. A light blue halo decorated with small spikes in the shape of a tiara floats above her head. Emily wears princess-inspired clothing, consisting of a white and dark periwinkle blue dress with a dark stripe on the scalloped high neck, light and dark blue puffed sleeves reminiscent of the Renaissance era, a dark periwinkle blue star print on the chest, dark triangular prints on the hem with small diamond shapes between the mounds, a light blue sash worn around her slender waist, and she wears white stockings with dark periwinkle flat shoes underneath. She also wears long, fingerless, periwinkle-gray opera gloves. Angelic form In her angelic form, Emily's skin turns white, her head takes on an oval shape with an additional third eye on her forehead, her lips turn noticeably paler, and she becomes bald. Additionally, six feathered wings grow on the nape of her neck, and her halo features a small eye in the center. Her dress turns white and features some key differences, most notably the large blue eye with long eyelashes in the center of the chest, which replaces the star. The sleeves are now white, while the hem is adorned with larger periwinkle blue diamonds over the dark blue print (both prints also resemble eyes), and longer navy blue diamonds with a white outline on the inside, all marked with a single white line in the middle. She also wears a white neckline and a feathered petticoat. PERSONALITY Emily is enthusiastic, cheerful, sweet, friendly, and kind to almost everyone around her. She does not discriminate against others for their mistakes or who they are; in fact, she enthusiastically greeted Charlie and welcomed her to Heaven, even though she was a demon. Her personality complements Sera's, with Sera being the more serious one and Emily being the more outgoing one. Working alongside Sera, her job consists of preserving the happiness and joy of human souls who ascend to Heaven. Emily also feels great compassion for human souls and considers them all equal, just like Charlie, as she feels disgusted and horrified upon learning of the extermination. She is also shown to be deeply involved in what she believes in, such as when she promises Charlie that she will find a way to help her. As seen in "Welcome to Heaven" and "The Show Must Go On," Emily believes in Charlie's dream of rehabilitating sinners and allowing them into Heaven, and she was happy to see Sir Pentious ascend to Heaven, proving that it was indeed possible for a sinner demon to be redeemed. She is shown to be forgiving of Sera for her role in facilitating the exterminations. Despite her optimism, Emily can be somewhat slow and insecure. This is evidenced when she forgets to tell Sir Pentious that he cannot leave Heaven, and when she forgets to tell Charlie that he is alive and living as a redeemed soul, just as Sera is isolating Heaven from other realms. Unintentionally, she makes Sir Pentious feel depressed with her comment about how unique and special he is, although she tries her best to make him feel comfortable and enjoy Heaven. Her enthusiasm also makes her impulsive, such as when, hyperventilating, she shows Sir Pentious numerous places in Heaven to enjoy at once, instead of showing him around gradually so he can adapt to his new reality. However, she is also capable of learning from her mistakes and trying alternative methods to help, such as creating four new Egg Boiz for Sir Pentious, who finally trusts her. In "Silenced," Emily believes they could fix things with Hell by going down there, apologizing, and bringing gift baskets as compensation for everyone, not realizing that the Exorcists' actions in each Extermination had generated deep resentment in the people of Hell that would not disappear with kind words or gifts. Upon returning to Heaven after Vox's declaration of war against the angels, Emily broke down in tears and apologized to Sir Pentious for everything they had put Hell through. In "Curtain Call," Emily demonstrates the true magnitude of her empathy and kindness, openly collaborating with Charlie and her friends to stop Vox, as well as saving several sinners from being killed by Vox's massive angelic weapon, the "Power of Lilith," even risking her own life. She is also shown to be very brave and determined to protect everyone, regardless of whether they are sinners from Hell, being the first to approach the weapon to try to stop it, without a second's hesitation. Later in the episode, Emily constantly visits Hell and is seen helping with the Hotel and her redemption project, preparing for the arrival of future redeemed souls, whom she gives a warm and cheerful welcome to Heaven. In "Curtain Call," the wounds inflicted by the Power of Lilith barely affected her. While she was initially injured and felt pain, she suffered no lasting effects and was able to fly through Heaven as cheerfully as ever with her new prosthetic wing. Appearance: Saint Peter is a slender angel with pale skin, short curly blond hair, large pupil-less turquoise eyes, sharp blue eyebrows, and a white halo over his head. He possesses large sky-blue and cream wings and wears a light blue tunic or vest over a pale yellow shirt with gold cuffs, a blue skirt with gold cross-shaped details, and an elegant, celestial style that combines formality with a modern, charismatic touch. Role and Appearances: Saint Peter acts as the gatekeeper or guardian of the gates of Heaven, receiving souls and announcing whether they enter or not. He debuted in the episode "Welcome to Heaven" of Season 1 and has a larger presence in Season 2, where he interacts with Charlie and the others during visits to Heaven, representing the bureaucracy and official welcome of paradise. He also appears in the hearing where the topic of Adam's death is discussed, but he does not seem important there. Personality: Saint Peter is charismatic, cheerful, uplifting, and a bit theatrical, with an exaggerated enthusiasm when welcoming people. He sings and acts energetically as the leader of the celestial choirs, although he also shows the stricter, bureaucratic side of Heaven by following the rules on who can enter. Adam

APPEARANCE Adam was a Winner archangel and the primary antagonist of the first season of Hazbin Hotel. He made his official debut alongside his lieutenant, Lute, in "Overture". He was the first human man created and the first human soul to enter Heaven. After becoming a Winner archangel, he became the commander of the angelic military force known as the Exorcists and served Heaven as a precursor to the Extermination movement. In "The Show Must Go On", he was defeated by Lucifer Morningstar and killed by Niffty. Following his death, his position as leader of the Exorcists passed to his son, Abel. PERSONALITY Adam was a Winner angel with a human appearance. Most of the time, he wore a mask similar to other Exorcists, though with normal-looking eyes and golden facial expressions. The mask also held a pair of horns resembling those of an exorcist, albeit longer, smoother, and with a golden ornament at the tips. Beneath his mask, it is revealed that he is a fair-skinned angel with yellow eyes that have dark under-eye circles, stubble on his chin, and short, slightly disheveled cedar-brown hair. He also possessed a pair of large, golden wings on his back. Unlike other angels who have appeared so far, Adam's halo was a bright gold color and, much like the Exorcists, it had two spikes pointing up and down, although these spikes were located on the front of the halo. He wore a white and gold cloak that appeared to have a large letter "A" emblazoned on the front, and had spikes with gold tips on the back of his collar. His hands, which were visible, appeared black. In "The Show Must Go On", Lucifer mentions that Adam had "let himself go", implying he had gained weight. Adam's entire body emits a white glow during his fight with Lucifer until he collapses after being stabbed. Personality Adam appeared very self-centered and insensitive. As leader of his army of exorcists, he took his role as a leading figure very seriously, throwing hostile threats against demons and anyone who stood in his way or disobeyed his orders, as he did to Vaggie for refusing to kill a sinner, cutting off her wings, and leaving her in Hell. He also exhibited extreme traits of narcissism and chauvinism, believing himself to be the perfect man for being the first and claiming that he had never made a mistake in his life, as he was the first man born on Earth. He claimed that the entire male lineage descended from him and boasted about how big and magnificent his penis was. His narcissism was so great that, after his defeat, he refused to admit his downfall and manifested a superiority complex, proclaiming that his enemies should be grateful for having sired the beginning of humanity, while demanding they worship him for his feats. Adam did not appear to be aware that his selfish and depraved behavior toward Lilith was the cause of her leaving him. Upon meeting Charlie Morningstar, he did not hate her for being the daughter of the woman he was married to before she fell in love with Lucifer, and he was relatively patient with her, although he continued to dismiss her suggestions. Adam was also sexist, constantly referring to other women as "whores" and enjoying his sexual depravity, such as when he confessed to Vaggie that her forbidden love affair with Charlie was "hot as hell", though it is unclear if he meant their genders or that they were angel and demon. Despite this, he appeared to have a good relationship with Lute, whom he seemed to hold in very high regard, even as her superior. Despite his cluelessness and ignorance, Adam did show moments of common sense and self-awareness, such as when the death of an exorcist was discovered: he knew that if they decided to kill sinners immediately, barely a week after the last Extermination, the demons would figure out how to kill the exorcists. Adam also knew when to control his selfishness, as demonstrated when he inadvertently revealed the purpose of the Extermination to all the courts of Heaven, including Sera, the highest-ranking seraph in Heaven who ordered that no one but the exorcists should know. He also submits to authority, such as when Sera told him it wasn't necessary for him to banish Charlie Morningstar and Vaggie from Heaven: at first, he joked and mocked them, only to apologize immediately upon realizing that Sera had not liked it at all. Adam was also quite cruel and sadistic, openly admitting to Charlie that he enjoyed killing demons, referring to the Extermination as mere entertainment. He rejected Charlie's redemption project because he believed that sinners had already had their chance on Earth and that their fate was immutable, since Hell was eternal. However, despite his eagerness to kill demons and take revenge for a fallen exorcist, he pushed the date of the next Extermination forward by six months instead of attacking immediately, to prevent the demons from realizing, although with the intention of annihilating them completely so that no exorcist would ever be killed again. Adam was capable of recognizing and praising the skills of others, such as when he reunited with Vaggie and admitted that she was one of the best exorcists under his command. He also sincerely congratulated Lute for having killed 275 demons during the last Extermination and congratulated her with a fist bump. Adam also praised Vaggie for being Charlie's partner, albeit with sarcasm. Adam liked to play music, especially the guitar, and even openly claimed that he was in a band. Additionally, he had a negative opinion of the radio and stereo equipment, telling Alastor that they were already a thing of the past, considering them old and useless. According to Vivziepop, Adam had favorites among his children and Abel was not the favorite. According to Lute, Adam "never loved Abel", something that Abel, sadly, would agree with. While Adam's thoughts on his son were never clearly shown, Lute's hallucination also stated that he did not like seeing his son's kind nature, in contrast to his own violent and arrogant nature, as a "weakness". HISTORY Chapter 1 – Overture Charlie and Vaggie travel to Heaven to present the Hazbin Hotel project. There they meet Adam, the leader of the Exorcists, who from the first moment mocks Charlie and ensures that sinners will never change. During the meeting, he reveals that the next Extermination will be moved forward by six months because an Exorcist was killed in Hell. Before leaving, he laughs at Charlie and makes it clear that he intends to destroy all sinners regardless of their attempts at redemption. Chapter 6 – Welcome to Heaven Charlie and Vaggie return to Heaven to defend the hotel again before Sera and Emily. Adam interrupts the hearing by revealing that Vaggie was an Exorcist. He then publicly admits that the Exterminations exist and brags about them without feeling any remorse. He also mocks Charlie, Emily, and Vaggie, making it clear that he enjoys exterminating demons and does not believe in redemption. Chapter 8 – The Show Must Go On Adam personally leads the Extermination against the Hazbin Hotel. He arrives accompanied by Lute and the army of Exorcists to destroy the hotel and kill Charlie. During the battle, he easily defeats Alastor, breaking his staff and forcing him to retreat. Then he faces Charlie and Vaggie. When Lucifer intervenes, they both fight in a combat in which Adam ends up being overwhelmed. Lute

Lute is the lieutenant of the Exorcists and a major antagonist in Hazbin Hotel who debuted in the episode "Overture." Lute, once Adam's lieutenant, claimed to be the new commander of the Exorcists following his death in "The Show Must Go On," before the seraphim appointed Adam's son, Abel, as the new commander in "Storyteller," while Lute remained as his lieutenant. APPEARANCE Lute wears an outfit almost identical to the other Exorcists, with the only visual difference being that the right pupil of her mask is a white circle with an X over it, instead of a white X, and the horns on her mask are curved backward. Additionally, she often has bloodstains on her gray minidress. Beneath her mask, Lute is revealed to be a humanoid angel with white skin, pale golden-yellow eyes, black lips, and short, pale white hair that reaches her neck, cut into an asymmetrical bob with shaved sides. She also appears to wear gray eyeshadow as makeup. In "The Show Must Go On," Lute lost her left arm after tearing it off at the bicep to escape from the rubble of the Hazbin Hotel. As revealed in "Storyteller," she now sports a golden prosthesis that wears Adam's halo around the wrist like a bracelet. PERSONALITY Lute was Adam's lieutenant and his stoic subordinate, always by his side. They seemingly maintained a friendly relationship: Adam would congratulate her on her high kill count and Lute would join in his antics. They shared several beliefs, such as the idea that angels are supposedly perfect and never wrong. Like Adam, she enjoys her status as an angel and dislikes the mere idea that angels could make mistakes. Lute, in particular, shows a sadistic side when humiliating Charlie, especially regarding how the Exorcists perceive her and other Hell-born demons. Her sadism was demonstrated in "The Show Must Go On" when she yelled, "Rip that pussy-mouthed Vaggie a new asshole!" something even Adam considered excessive. Regarding demons, she harbors deep prejudice and xenophobia toward them, openly referring to them as "scum," "monsters," and using slurs. Like all Exorcists, she does not care about sinners and resorts to killing them every year in the Extermination, taking pride in the number of demons she has killed. She considers sinners in particular to be lost causes incapable of change, stating that their only chance to access Heaven was their life on Earth. She is very rigid with her worldview and will immediately dismiss anything that contradicts it. Based on her interaction with Charlie, Lute would be delighted to attack all inhabitants of Hell, sinners and Hell-born alike, during the Exterminations, and considers them collectively inferior to angels, evil, and deserving of their extermination. When she perceives any threat coming from Hell, Lute quickly resorts to violence and bloodshed as retaliation. Upon discovering that one of the Exorcists has been killed for the first time, Lute is enraged and demands vengeance, insisting that they return immediately to slaughter everyone in Hell and avenge him. This demonstrates her cruelty, but also her impulsivity, as, despite this incident being irrefutable proof that Exorcists are vulnerable and can be killed by demons, Lute wants to head into Hell without a plan. She has also shown to have a strong sense of loyalty to Heaven, as seen when, despite despising all demons, sinners and Hell-born alike, she follows the pardon agreed upon by Lucifer with Heaven for the Exorcists to leave Hell-born demons alone and only attack sinners. However, this changed in "The Show Must Go On" after a period of animosity between Lute and Adam against Charlie Morningstar and Vaggie, in which they directed the next extermination directly against the Hazbin Hotel and attacked several Hell-born demons like Charlie and Razzle and Dazzle. Lute proves to be very loyal to Sera, Emily, and Adam, her superiors, and obeys their orders without hesitation. She assumes the most responsible role, reminding Adam of the seriousness of his duties and following Sera's orders to keep the Extermination a secret from the rest of Heaven. Later, despite her burning desire for vengeance, Lute continued to obey the orders of Emily and Sera as the High Seraphim of Heaven, suppressing any plans to attack Hell again and reluctantly accompanying them in their attempt to make peace with the inhabitants of Hell, although she refused to participate in the negotiations. In "Curtain Call," she also obeyed Abel's order when he told her to stand down, although this visibly irritated her. When Adam died, an emotionally devastated Lute ran to his side and, in tears, screamed his name, thus demonstrating the deep affection she felt for him beyond their professional relationship. His death would drive her to openly advocate for the annihilation of everyone in Hell, sinners or not, using as pretexts the safety of Heaven at risk and the alleged threat that Hell represents to it. She frequently uses genocidal rhetoric when referring to the inhabitants of Hell. Despite mourning the loss of a loved one, Lute feels no remorse for having inflicted the same anguish and despair on the population of Hell, and even smiled with disdain when Vox confronted her about it. This evidences the dichotomy in her moral compass, as she heartlessly considers the killings of sinners justifiable, but becomes enraged and deeply frustrated to see that no one in Heaven seems to grieve or care about Adam's death in a massacre, ironically, in an "eye for an eye" situation, something she sang about in "Gravity." In essence, Lute is inflexible, refusing to give up her mission and purpose as an exorcist, even considering mercy an unforgivable insult. She was willing to tear off her left arm in a fit of rage to continue the fight against Vaggie and even went so far as to tell God's Speaker that she was willing to give her life for Heaven. She is also unwilling to accept Sir Pentious's redemption, still seeing him as a sinner rather than a redeemed winner, and would use his history from when he was alive and his attack on Adam as evidence against him, even claiming that Sir Pentious himself killed Adam when in reality it was the other way around; however, this could have been an attempt on her part to discredit Sir Pentious or, equally likely, the result of Lute having a distorted view of what happened during the last extermination (since she claims Sir Pentious was under Lucifer's command), as well as the delusional belief that Adam (and angels in general) could do no wrong. Lute has also been shown to be pragmatic enough to know when a battle is lost: after Adam dies and the army is left at the mercy of Lucifer, Charlie, and their allies, Lute takes Adam's halo and orders the Exorcists to retreat. Despite this, Lute's determination in her mission demonstrates her ingenuity and tenacity, as she uses all the resources at her disposal to maintain Heaven's status quo, as evidenced by her ordering Lilith to take care of Charlie or by temporarily canceling the deal that Lilith was participating in. She also harbors a deep hatred and contempt toward Vaggie, whom she considers a traitor for even sympathizing with demons, going so far as to rip out her left eye when, as an exorcist, she spared the life of a sinner child and left her to her fate. Pendleton, better known as Sir Pentious, is a Winner angel and a former sinner demon. A former antagonist who debuted in the pilot episode, he is now one of the main characters of Hazbin Hotel and is the first sinner to achieve redemption. He was a Victorian-era demon who strove to be modern and cool, and had a passion for building steampunk machines of destruction. His goal in the pilot was to conquer Hell using his machines and his army of Egg Boiz. After being forgiven by Charlie in "Radio Killed the Video Star," he became the second guest the Hotel attempted to redeem. As revealed in "The Storyteller," Pendleton was a lonely inventor living in London. In 1888, he witnessed a murder committed by one of his clients, who would go on to kill five more women, and he kept silent about it. Pendleton took a secret to the grave. After sacrificing himself for his friends in "The Show Must Go On," atoning for the sins of his past, Sir Pentious was reborn as a Winner angel and transported to Heaven, becoming the first known sinner to be redeemed. After revealing his redemption to all of Hell in "Curtain Call" and proving that Charlie's dream of redemption was truly possible, Sir Pentious was given the title of "First Redeemed" by the Hazbin Hotel staff and inspired many sinners who wish to change for the better. APPEARANCE Winner Upon his ascension to Heaven as a Winner angel, Sir Pentious retains his snake-like appearance, though his body's predominant color is violet-blue. His eyes now have yellow sclerae with cherry-colored pupils, and he retains his mouth full of sharp yellow teeth with two long snake fangs. His tail is light gray with an even lighter gray shade underneath and lacks the eyes he had in his sinner form. His white cobra hood has a yellow front with six jagged points and white tips that simulate eyes. Additionally, he now has a small pair of wings on his back. Sir Pentious wears a now-predominantly white jacket that retains its thin yellow stripes, along with a black bowtie with a fuchsia heart in the center. Underneath the jacket, he wears a long-sleeved yellow undershirt with a single white eye in the center. He retains his fingerless gloves, though now blue, and his sharp fuchsia claws. He complements his outfit with a large white top hat, which has a good-sized yellow eye in the center, as well as a pair of yellow heart-shaped goggles with cherry pupils and a white halo floating above them. Sinner As a sinner demon, Sir Pentious had a serpentine appearance, with his body being predominantly charcoal gray. His eyes had cherry-colored sclerae with black pupils, and a mouth with sharp yellow teeth, two of which were long snake fangs. His tail was black with thick yellow stripes and numerous cherry-colored eyes running along it. He wore a black cobra hood with a yellow front, black corners, and four cherry-colored eye patterns distributed in the center. Sir Pentious wore a charcoal gray jacket matching his skin, with thin yellow stripes, and a black bowtie with a fuchsia eye in the center. Under the jacket, he wore a yellowish-orange long-sleeved undershirt. He also sported black fingerless gloves with yellow dots on each knuckle and had sharp fuchsia claws. He complemented his outfit with a large charcoal gray top hat, which had a sizable fuchsia eye in the center, as well as many sharp yellow teeth and a pair of protective goggles. The top hat would blink and change expression in unison with Sir Pentious. Human Pendleton, in his human form, had long black hair that reached his elbows. His eyes were gray, and he always wore glasses or spectacles, which he often wore on his head when not using them. He wore a Victorian-style gray vest with a small gold chain that extended and hooked to his jacket pocket, a maroon jabot, and a white shirt. Additionally, he wore black striped trousers and black dress shoes. Pilot In the pilot episode, Sir Pentious's appearance was similar to his main character design, but he had lighter pink eyes on his head, and the stripes and the number of eyes on his tail were more varied and numerous. His top hat was dark gray and lacked goggles, and his undershirt was the same shade of yellow as the rest of his body. The eye on his bowtie was on his chest, and the bowtie itself had a yellow center. PERSONALITY Personality Sir Pentious is extremely emotional, pompous, extravagant, hot-headed, temperamental, and persistent, and his personality seems inspired by classic mustache-twirling villains. He takes great pride in his grandiose ideas of how evil and cunning he is, even going so far as to openly declare, "I am so evil!" He uses his mechanical genius to build weapons, such as a cannon and his airship. However, he is capable of showing remorse and possesses a sense of honor. He demonstrates this by accepting his defeat and "inevitable death" at the hands of the hotel staff after being berated by Vox for his failure. When Charlie forgives him, he feels grateful and joins her redemption efforts fully. At first, however, he had trust issues, as he felt everyone's kindness at the hotel was a sham to win his favor. Furthermore, he shows enthusiasm for Charlie and Vaggie's activities, even more so than Angel Dust, even if it was all an act at first. According to Husk, Sir Pentious is a lonely buffoon who likes to watch others while they sleep. Beneath his supervillain facade, Sir Pentious felt deeply lonely and afraid of taking risks, developing a desire to be recognized and be part of a group like the Vees. He strives to be modern and cool. As noted by Angel Dust, Sir Pentious does not pick up on sexual innuendos and tends to take things said to him very literally. He is emotionally attached to the Egg Boiz and breaks down in tears because Vaggie forced him to get rid of them. Curiously, the moment he gets them back, he briefly expresses his relief and then orders them to make his bed. As for the Egg Boiz, he is used to them always saying "random nonsense," which caused great disappointment for him and his friends when one of them, Frank, said something that was true: that an angel had died. When Vox destroyed his dream of being relevant, he preferred death; however, Charlie forgave him and gave him a second chance, which allowed Sir Pentious to settle into the Hotel for good. There, he was able to be braver, confess his feelings for Cherri Bomb, and protect his new friends, which led him to sacrifice himself for them in a failed attack against Adam. Thanks to this, he managed to enter Heaven as the first redeemed sinner. When the Judge of Heaven asked about his history, he recounted that he had been an observant but lonely inventor in London, with no social life, and that he witnessed a murder. He knew the killer as one of his clients, but he did not act on it, which led to the deaths of five more women and the killer never being caught. It could be inferred that he was voyeuristic and shy, as well as cowardly or apathetic, although it is evident that he now deeply regrets his inaction and cowardice. Thanks to his friendship with Charlie, Sir Pentious developed a wiser and more self-confident personality. Upon seeing Sera hesitate in her decisions regarding Vox's rebellion, Sir Pentious gently helps her, guided by the compassion Charlie taught him and helping her choose a future.

Eve

General Information Eve is the second woman created by Heaven, fashioned after Lilith to become Adam's wife following the separation between him and Lilith. She is the mother of humanity, as all human beings descend from her, making her one of the most important figures in the entire history of the Hellaverse. History After Lilith left Adam, Heaven created Eve to be his new companion. Later, Lucifer and Lilith offered humanity the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge as a symbol of free will. Eve accepted the fruit and ate it, introducing sin into the world. This event caused Lucifer's fall, the creation of Hell, and the start of the conflict between Heaven and Hell that gives rise to the story of Hazbin Hotel. Appearance Her appearance during the events of Eden is officially shown in Season 2. Eve is a light-skinned woman with long, wavy blonde hair, golden eyes, and an ancient-style white dress, fitting for the Garden of Eden. Her design is elegant and simple, with a more innocent and serene appearance than Lilith's, though both share a similar aesthetic characteristic of the first humans. Personality Her personality remains virtually unknown. In her appearances, she has no dialogue or sufficient interaction to define her character. All that can be inferred is that she felt curious about the fruit of knowledge and decided to accept it, but the series has yet to reveal what she was truly like or what her thoughts or motivations were. Powers and Abilities So far, she has not been seen using any supernatural powers, nor has it been confirmed that she possesses special abilities. As the first mother of humanity, her importance is historical rather than combative, and the series has yet to show if she obtained any powers after leaving Eden. Relationships She was Adam's second wife and the mother of Abel, in addition to being the ancestor of all humanity. She also maintains a fundamental connection to Lucifer and Lilith, as her decision to eat the fruit was the event that triggered the fall of humanity and forever changed the destiny of both realms. Current Whereabouts Eve's fate remains one of the greatest mysteries of the series. It has not been revealed whether she ended up in Heaven, in Hell, if she died permanently, or if she continues to exist somewhere else. No character has explained what happened to her after the events of Eden... But based on a photo she has with Abel, she is surely in Heaven; that is the most likely scenario. Appearances Her official appearance is limited to the events of the Garden of Eden shown in the origin story. Unlike Adam, Lilith, or Lucifer, Eve has not yet had an active role in the main story nor has she participated in the current events of Heaven or Hell. Trivia Although Eve is a key figure in the history of the Hazbin Hotel universe, she remains one of the most mysterious characters. There are numerous fan theories that link her to Roo or to future antagonists, but none of those theories have been officially confirmed, so they are not part of the canon.

Abel

Abel is a winning angel, son of the late Adam, and a supporting character in Hazbin Hotel who made his debut in the episode "Storyteller". Following his father's death in "The Show Must Go On", Abel was named the new Commander of the Exorcists. In "Curtain Call", Abel mustered the courage to stop Lute's vengeful attack, which allowed Lilith's Power to be stopped and Pentagram City to be saved. APPEARANCE Abel is a light-skinned angel with features similar to his father, such as his sturdy build and large golden wings on his back. However, unlike him, he has wavy, shoulder-length pale blonde hair, golden amber eyes without pupils, a gap in his upper teeth, and a halo with a slight wavy indentation, which is usually tilted to accommodate his hat. His attire resembles Adam's, only it appears to be mixed with a pale yellow military marching band uniform. It includes yellow epaulettes, gold buttons with strips and pink trim, and sleeves that gradient from yellow to pale yellow. His visible arms are black. His exorcist helmet is also practically identical to his father's, only the horns are ram-shaped. He also wears a pale yellow shako hat with pink bands around the top and bottom with Adam's "A" symbol stamped in pink on the front, and a large white feather on the right side. PERSONALITY Unlike his father, Abel is shown to be calmer, more composed, and benevolent. He is also not afraid to speak his mind, such as when he reprimands Lute during the hearing about Sir Pentious's ascension to Heaven, seeing her protest insistently about the matter at hand. Furthermore, he boasts slightly about being the new leader of the exorcist army after his father's death, rather than her. Abel is also willing to make new friends, as seen when, along with Emily and St. Peter, he sings to Sir Pentious about the goodness of Heaven in the song "Like You" during "Storyteller". However, that same episode also shows that he is not very discreet and is quite clueless, such as when he unintentionally ridiculed Sir Pentious's name and, later, tried to take one of Adam's guitars when Lute was already in a bad mental state. It is implied that Abel never received good feedback or kind treatment from others, especially from his own father. Because of this, when Emily mentions that Abel would be fairer, Abel is seen blushing at the compliment. Vivziepop explains that, unlike his father, Abel is the more tender of the two and the sweet son. [3] She describes him as an "innocent, silly boy". [4] Abel hates conflict of any kind, which contrasts with his new role as leader of the Exorcists. This is clearly seen during the growing tensions between Hell and Heaven, where Abel suffers several panic attacks due to his lack of preparation to lead the Exorcists and also shows indecision about the best course of action. When Lute tried to kill Vaggie while Pentagram City was threatened with destruction if the Hazbin Hotel group did not destroy Lilith's Power, Abel wavered, wondering what his father would do. He finally gathered the courage to stand up to her firmly in "Curtain Call" when she was going against Sera's orders, ordering her to stop her attack and return to Heaven. HISTORY History Past Little is known about Abel's history, except that he was the son of Adam and that at some point he ascended to Heaven. Hazbin Hotel Season 2 "Storyteller" Abel informs Lute about his appointment. During Sir Pentious's trial in Heaven after being redeemed and ascending, Abel was sitting next to St. Peter and when Lute was about to make her statement about what she would do, Abel interrupted her to intervene and while introducing himself as Adam's son and saying "rest in peace" to his father, he said "as much as I wanted to honor his dear late father", he wanted to say something before Lute interrupted him by telling him that Adam didn't even like him, which Abel acknowledged sadly, and said that facts aside maybe it would be good to stay on topic about that colorful snake, Sir Pentious. While Abel listened to Sir Pentious's story and the Speaker of God welcomed him to Heaven, Abel noticed how cute he was, and when Sir Pentious told them that he no longer used his real name "Pendleton" and instead implored them to call him Sir Pentious, Abel deduced the meaning of his name, which was like a snake, and called it witty and adorable. When Lute was about to declare herself leader of Heaven's exorcist army, she was interrupted by Abel, who put on an exorcist helmet and told her that he was the new leader of the exorcists and said "sorry". When Lute questioned this, Emily told her that Abel was Adam's son and therefore his heir, and that they thought he would handle things in this situation more fairly, which caused Abel to blush. And later, when the meeting adjourned, Sera told Abel to keep an eye on what his next step would be regarding his father's death, and Abel replied "yepperoni" as he flew away. Abel is seen along with St. Peter, while Emily takes Sir Pentious on a tour of the wonderful things in Heaven, and tells them that they will become his friends as they show him fun things from Heaven, but Sir Pentious remains sad about his current situation. Abel debates with Sera and St. Peter about the situation with Hell. Subsequently, Abel is seen along with St. Peter in a private meeting room with Sera, where she tells them that they need to discuss what measures should be taken regarding the threat that Hell could now pose, and Abel tells her that they are ready and waiting with their knives, helmets and other "pointy things" and tells her not to stress so much because her stomach will hurt, Sera then asks what they should do, but he responds nervously while getting under the table that he doesn't like confrontation and that he doesn't like the idea of going down to get revenge, but says that they somehow killed his father, so maybe he will consider it, but says he is pretty fine with either option, and as Sera thanks them for their time and suggestions, as Abel leaves he tells her that whatever decision she makes, Heaven will be behind her. Abel then entered Adam's office, just as she was about to enter and was having a nervous breakdown, he entered and told her he was sorry for interrupting her while she was going through a hard time, then asked if he could get one of his father's old guitars to remember him by, but Lute furiously told him to leave just as he was about to take the guitar and Abel left, and later returned to the room and saw Lute trashing Adam's office and immediately left while she stared at him. "Silenced" Abel attends a meeting with Lute, Sera, and Emily where they watch Charlie Morningstar from above desperately trying to contact them. After Emily convinces Sera to go down to Hell, Emily suggests to Sir Pentious that they should apologize to Hell with gift baskets, to which Abel comments that who doesn't like gift baskets and Sir Pentious suggests that Charlie would also love gift baskets with chocolate and Abel says they could add an assortment of cheeses while pushing Lute out of the way and adding candies and teddy bears that form the phrase "sorry for the violence", and then goes down to Hell through a portal. In Hell they find...

Salina

Appearance: Salina is a tall, slender sinner demon with avian features (resembling a secretary bird), a small bust, light skin, long, elegant hair, and an attractive, modern design that makes her stand out as one of the prettiest background girls, with elements that reflect her past as a star manufactured by the Vees. Role and Appearances: Salina is a victim exploited by the Vees (especially after leaving the Hazbin Hotel), appears in Season 2 in the episode "New Pentious" during the song "Hazbin Guarantee (Trust Us)" and has a cameo in "Curtain Call", representing the demons who fall for the false promises of fame from Vox, Valentino, and Velvette, being used in shows, music videos, and adult content. Personality: Salina is shown as a demon who sought fame and ended up being manipulated and exploited, with a background of vulnerability and regret; her role serves to criticize the dark side of the Vees' media empire and show the consequences for souls who trust them. Popularity and Trivia: Despite being a side/background character, Salina gained some attention for her gorgeous design, generating fan art that sees her as a tragic victim of the Vees' system, and fans hope for more development in future seasons.

Lucifer

Lucifer Morningstar is a fallen angel and a main character in Hazbin Hotel who made his debut in "Dad Beat Dad." He is the father of Charlie Morningstar and the estranged husband of Lilith. He is the king and ruler of all of Hell and the leader of the Seven Deadly Sins, embodying the sin of Pride, and is also the creator of the hell-born Goetic demon race. Following the episode "The Show Must Go On," Lucifer stayed at the Hazbin Hotel to help Charlie and her team redeem sinners. However, in the episode "Silenced," Charlie asked her father to leave the hotel following his role in Vox's declaration of war against Heaven. In "Weapon of Mass Distraction," he was captured by Vox, who had posed as Charlie, and was used as a power source to fire his weapon, the "Lilith Power." However, he was subsequently released when the machine was destroyed in "Final Curtain." He then returned to the hotel. APPEARANCE Appearance Lucifer is a slender, humanoid fallen angel who bears a strong resemblance to his daughter, Charlie: he has the same ivory-pale skin with rosy cheeks, blonde hair with fine, light coral-colored strands over thicker, pale blonde highlights, and eyes with light yellow sclerae and red irises. Unlike Charlie, his mouth is full of sharp teeth, and his hair is short and slicked back in a ducktail style with a cowlick sticking out. Additionally, his tongue is forked, his irises sometimes appear slit like a snake's pupils, and his eyelids are light purple. He is shorter than his daughter, though not by much. Lucifer's white and red attire is reminiscent of a circus ringmaster: he wears a wide-brimmed white top hat with a gold snake and a red apple atop gold spikes that resemble a crown, and a white coat with a high collar, lined and trimmed in red, with eight gold buttons. His jacket is worn over a red-and-white striped vest with two gold buttons and a small black bow tie. In "The Show Must Go On," his suit features red and gold epaulettes, similar to a ringmaster. He also wears black knee-high heeled boots. On the pinky finger of his left hand, Lucifer wears a gold ring, presumably his wedding ring. Furthermore, he often carries a black cane with an apple-shaped handle that matches his hat. Lucifer has dark gray burn marks on his arms that extend past his elbows and on his legs up to above his ankles. He also has dark gray hooves instead of feet. Due to his angelic origins, he possesses six white wings with red feathers, which he can extend from his fur. In "New Pentious," it is shown that in the morning he wears a fluffy pink robe, a duck sleeping cap with pink curlers, with his snake acting as a belt for the robe, and a pair of fluffy duck slippers. Past In a photograph of Lucifer and Fredrick, Lucifer's outfit was similar to Charlie's in the pilot episode: a pale red jacket with black lapels and a shirt with dark red cuffs. He still wore his wide-brimmed white top hat with the snake, apple, and gold spikes that resemble a crown, but he also wore white gloves. Full Demon When he assumes his full demonic form, in addition to unfolding his wings, he displays a pair of red horns with a sphere of fire between them and the snake and apple from his hat floating above him, forming a sort of halo. His eyes turn red with yellow sclerae and pupils. He also has a black, spiked tail that ends in a triangular tip with a red heart in the center; his hands turn black and his fingertips turn red. Eyes also appear on the inside of his coat skirts, and a similar eye appears on his bow tie. Additionally, his entire body emits a white glow. Pilot In the pilot episode, Lucifer's appearance is almost the same, only his pupils were black, just like in Charlie's design in the pilot. The snake that circled his hat was also purple. PERSONALITY Personality Despite being the ruler of all of Hell, Lucifer possesses an eccentric, whimsical, and dramatic nature, acting in an exaggerated manner in most situations. He alternates between being silly and theatrical, and being awkward and sad. Like Charlie, he is ambitious in his beliefs, and according to the "History of Hell" book that Charlie reads in "Overture," he was an idealistic dreamer whose desire to grant humanity free will led to the accidental creation of Hell and his subsequent banishment there, which caused him to give up on his goals, falling into isolation and deep melancholy, coping by crafting and hoarding tons of rubber ducks. Lucifer is often forgetful, careless, and does not think about what he says, even appearing oblivious to everything. For instance, when facing Adam, he misinterpreted a verbal threat as a sexual innuendo and smiled proudly, and when Charlie corrected him, he forgot what he had said. When Charlie contacted him to ask for help setting up a meeting with Heaven, he was very happy to hear from her, yet he did not remember where he was or what he was doing, despite her having told him about the Hazbin Hotel months earlier. In his first meeting with Vaggie, he called her "Maggie" right after he was told her name, and several times in Season 2, he refers to her as "Charlie's girlfriend." He also had no idea of Angel Dust's name in "It's A Deal." Furthermore, even with his monumental position, he is quite socially awkward, for example, when trying to connect with Charlie by mentioning enthusiastically that they both like girls. Despite his awkwardness and eccentric behavior, Lucifer is quite proud of his status, fitting for his Sin of Pride. When he visited the Hotel in "Dad Beat Dad," he immediately began criticizing it and dismissed Charlie's ideas for it, saying that sinners are horrible and cannot be redeemed, and then gloated when he was proven right. When confronting Vox in "VOX POPULI," he claims to be "a living aspect of infinity" and near-godlike, taking pride in how mortals in the living world fear to speak his name and attempting to intimidate the Overlord of Media by reminding him, as well as the rest of the demons, that he is the King of Hell, also saying that Vox behaves as if he were greater than he actually is, even calling him "dead man" in a futile attempt to break his spirit. He is also not afraid to fight or resort to violence, as demonstrated when he fearlessly confronts Adam and beats him brutally. In the process, he does not hesitate to be arrogant, provoking and irritating Adam by reminding him of his failure with Lilith, as well as hinting that he slept with Eve. Lucifer further demonstrated his ability to intimidate when he ordered Lute to take her "little friends" and go home. Even so, he politely added "please," showing his habitual refinement. Although he is the King of Hell, Lucifer barely rules over his subjects and leaves them to their own devices. Because of this, his name (and, by extension, Charlie's) has little significance. While the inhabitants of Hell recognize that he is a powerful force to be reckoned with, they seem to know that nothing, if anything at all, would make him show up. Lucifer detests the sinners of Hell and describes them as "violent and destructive psychopaths, bent on causing as much pain and destruction as possible." He claims they are all "the worst," not believing any can be redeemed, which demonstrates his indifference.

Crymini

Crymini (pronounced Cry-mini) is a sinner demon and an upcoming character in Hazbin Hotel. She made her first appearance as a cameo in the series pilot. Appearance Crymini is a small sinner demon who resembles an anthropomorphic spotted hyena, with a small black nose, and large black ears with the inside the color of desire. Her eyes have yellow sclera and intense pink irises, with maroon freckles underneath. In addition, she wears minimal makeup consisting of dark gray eyeshadow. Her rather bushy fur is off-white, with maroon freckles-like spots on her left arm and leg, and she has long, beige-gray hair with bright-colored highlights, pulled back into a high mohawk-style ponytail. Furthermore, she has a large, bushy tail whose color is the opposite of her hair. Crymini's outfit is punk rock-inspired and consists of a large black spiked choker around her neck and a ripped dark red cardigan over a deep red minidress with a skull in the center. She wears dark red fingerless gloves and a single long black ripped stocking up to her thigh on her right leg. Personality Crymini's personality is still in development, with Vivziepop stating that she needs to determine how she will ultimately fit into the narrative. Crymini is described as a rebellious, delinquent punk kid, similar to a typical 90s character. Talent Immortality: As a sinner, Crymini is biologically immortal, unable to die of disease and unable to age, retaining the same age she was at death. Therefore, she cannot die of old age or other natural causes. She also cannot die from any type of physical damage and recovers from any wound; however, she can only be killed permanently with angelic weapons. History Past Nothing is known about Crymini's past, except that she died in the 1990s. Hellsa von Eldritch

Hellsa von Eldritch is Charlie's rival and Seviathan's sister. She is an upcoming character in the Hazbin Hotel series. Appearance Hellsa has the appearance of a tall, humanoid demon with an hourglass figure, smoke-green skin, and long silver hair reaching down to her calves, with dark gray spots resembling cephalopod tentacles. Additionally, she wears quite long bangs that cover her right eye. Her eyes have neon green irises, intense teal sclera, slit pupils, and thick upper lashes with smaller lower lashes protruding from them. Her mouth features black lips and sharp neon green teeth inside. Hellsa wears a fuchsia pink coat with a bright neon green fur collar and cuffs, as well as four neon green buttons on the front, a blackish-green pencil skirt reaching to the knee with the same trim as her coat at the bottom, and blackish-green high-heeled boots above the knee. Full Demon Form When she takes her full demon form, as shown when she gets enraged because Charlie calls her a loser during "Inside of Every Demon is a Rainbow", she gains a more sinister appearance with mouths full of sharp teeth and protruding eyes all over her body. Personality Hellsa is described by Vivziepop as a "rich girl," with a personality similar to Regina George from the movie and musical Mean Girls, as she is cruel to others in a deliberate and conscious way. This was backed by Faustisse, who described her as "a very intelligent evil." Talent Demonic Transformation: Like some demons in Hell, Hellsa has shown the ability to change her physical form into a more fearsome and cosmic appearance when enraged. History Past Not much is known about Hellsa's history, but she and Charlie are bitter rivals. Hazbin Hotel Pilot Hellsa appears in front of a building with a sign that says "Hell School" during Charlie's performance on 666 News, where Charlie calls her a loser.

Seviathan von Eldritch

Seviathan von Eldritch is Charlie's ex-boyfriend and Hellsa von Eldritch's brother. He is an upcoming character in Hazbin Hotel. Appearance Seviathan appears to be a tall humanoid demon with dark, bluish-gray skin, and short, slicked-back dark green hair with lighter roots. His eyes have red sclera, neon green irises, slit pupils, and upper eyelids a shade darker than his skin. His mouth is full of sharp neon green teeth. In a graduation portrait, Seviathan is seen wearing a monstrous-looking green top hat with a brighter colored ribbon, sharp teeth, and several eyes. He wore a matching coat with neon trim and darker lapels, a neon green ascot tie underneath, an untucked dress shirt, degradé green striped dress pants, and light green heeled dress shoes with darker tips and heels. Not much is known about his abilities, but he must be powerful as he belongs to the second most powerful family in Hell. History Past At some unspecified point, Seviathan dated Charlie during their youth, and they even went to the Hell School graduation dance together; however, at some point, they broke up for unknown reasons. Relationships Charlie Morningstar As can be seen in a portrait of both during what appears to be a graduation dance, Seviathan apparently dated Charlie in their youth. However, they ended their relationship for reasons still unknown. Hellsa von Eldritch Hellsa is Seviathan's sister. According to Faustisse, their sibling relationship is neutral. While Hellsa and Seviathan do not hate each other, they don't appreciate each other much either, and each is busy with their own activities. It is unknown if the romance between Charlie and Seviathan affected his sibling relationship with Hellsa, given her apparent antagonistic relationship with Charlie. Seviathan's name references Leviathan, a sea serpent-like creature that appears in the Book of Job in the Hebrew Bible, where the "L" is replaced with an "S". His last name, Eldritch, means "strange and sinister or ghostly," while "von," meaning "of" or "from," comes from German surnames indicating place of origin or nobility. On February 9, 2019, Vivziepop mentioned in a tweet reply that Charlie had at least one very serious relationship before Vaggie. Although unconfirmed, it could refer to Seviathan. In the pilot episode, photographs of Seviathan and his family alongside Charlie's family can be seen throughout the hotel. Vivziepop explained in a late 2019 livestream that his family has some connection to Charlie's family as another wealthy upper-class family, saying that "the big rich royal families are always friends with each other," and that they will come into play later in the show. Vivziepop has confirmed that the Von Eldritches are hell-born demons who can have children. Roo

Roo is a demon and a character who will appear soon in Hazbin Hotel. Appearance Roo appears to be a slender humanoid demon with white skin and long, flame-like black hair with a reddish gradient. Her mouth is filled with needle-sharp teeth, and her eyes have bright red sclera and white irises with very small pupils. Additionally, she wears burgundy eyeshadow. She has black lips and what appear to be black veins on her neck, which, along with her arms, are shown to be chained and bound with shackles. Roo wears a large black wide-brimmed fedora with a white ribbon, an unknown red symbol in the center, and the underside of the brim featuring a red-and-white checkered pattern. She also wears an open, sleeveless, and tattered red trench coat, featuring the same checkered pattern as her fedora, a checkered crop top underneath, long black gloves, and tight black pants. One of the depictions shows her with a strange, sinister-looking tongue and multiple eyes. The image also shows her with red blood gushing from her mouth. Roo was first revealed in a drawing by Vivziepop on October 19, 2019. In her tweet, she mentioned that there is no character she is more excited about than Roo, but also mentioned that "it's going to be a VERY long process." In a reply, Vivziepop stated that Roo is "the looming threat in the distance, waiting," possibly hinting that she will be a future antagonist. In a Bluesky post made by Vivziepop on April 25, 2025, Roo was listed as one of the characters who can "serve c***." In a Bluesky post on October 24, 2025, Vivziepop confirmed that Roo's first recording session had taken place. In the post, Vivziepop expressed that when starting Hazbin Hotel, she hoped to be able to tell enough of the story to reach Roo, and now she officially exists in the series. After dying, both arrived in Hell as Sinner demons and continued to maintain their friendship over the years. Over time, Mimzy acquired the habit of getting into trouble due to her debts, conflicts, and poor decisions, repeatedly turning to Alastor to help her solve them thanks to his immense power. In the events of Hazbin Hotel, she appears unexpectedly at the Hazbin Hotel while Charlie and Lucifer are watching the performance of "Hell's Greatest Dad," interrupting the song to effusively greet Alastor. It is later revealed that she had gone to the hotel because a group of loan sharks and hellish criminals were chasing her to collect her debts. Alastor easily defeats her pursuers, but Charlie is furious to discover that Mimzy had endangered everyone at the hotel over a personal issue. Understanding that she had caused difficulties, Mimzy decides to leave the hotel, but not before saying a friendly goodbye to Alastor and the others present. As a sinner demon, she possesses the common abilities of Hell's inhabitants, including functional immortality, great physical endurance, and the capacity to recover from wounds that would be fatal to a human, though she can be permanently killed by angelic weapons or other demon-elimination methods. Despite her advanced age and the use of a cane, she participates in the battle against the Exorcists alongside the other Cannibal Town residents. She is surrounded at all times by a majestic, radiant aura. The Spokesperson of God wears a layered dress with hems that resemble feathers in colors of ivory red, off-white, light yellow, and a shade of yellow slightly darker than her hair. Beneath the dress are three ornaments, almost like scrolls, that trail behind her. Personality The Spokesperson of God is a patient, kind, wise, and gentle being, letting Sir Pentious explain how he ascended to Heaven and his past as a human. A demonstration of her patience is when she endures Lute's erratic and impulsive behavior and her demands not to let Sir Pentious stay in Heaven. She acts as a sort of confessor to whom the angels in Heaven can confess their sins, whether in public or in private, to alleviate their emotional burdens and provide them with comfort and divine wisdom. Much like God used to do in the Bible, she seems to question people, not because they are ignorant of the answer, but to test them or reveal something about those who respond. Unlike most angels, the Spokesperson is quite tolerant and open-minded, as she not only believed Sir Pentious's story but also accepted that the redemption of sinners in Hell is possible and that they could go to Heaven if they atoned for their sins. Furthermore, she offered High Seraph Sera a private space to express her vulnerability and tell her what was tormenting her after sensing her concern. The Spokesperson can also react emotionally, changing her modest attitude if someone makes a false claim, at least in her presence. An example is when Lute proclaimed herself the new commander of the Exorcist army, when in reality it was Abel who received the position. Abilities Longevity: The Spokesperson of God existed before the creation of the Earth, meaning she may have existed for millions of years since her creation. Angelic Power: As an angel of even higher rank than the seraphs, the Spokesperson possesses extremely powerful angelic ability. Size Alteration: The Spokesperson can change size, going from being slightly larger than Sera to being very tall, equal to the height of the Spokesperson's chamber. Flight: Like other angels, she can fly with her wings. Retractable Wings: The Spokesperson can hide her excess wings at will. Teleportation: She can teleport from one place to another. Lie Detection: The Spokesperson can detect lies in the words of those she listens to, being certain that Sir Pentious's past and how he ascended to heaven was entirely true. Musical Talent: The Spokesperson has the ability to sing, as she did when she sang with Sera. Trivia In Christianity, a very similar figure is the Holy Spirit. Like the Spokesperson, it is depicted as a bird full of light and is considered to emanate directly from God. This character could also be based on Metatron, a figure present mainly in Jewish mysticism. In Jewish tradition, Metatron is said to be the highest of the angels, often associated with divine authority and acting as a celestial scribe who records humanity's actions. In Kabbalistic teachings, Metatron is often represented as a mediator between the divine and material worlds, responsible for transmitting God's will to the lower realms. Her dialogue during her interaction with Lute regarding Sir Pentious's story implies that the Spokesperson can perceive lies, although it is unclear if this is an actual ability of hers or simply an expression of compassion. According to Vivziepop in an interview with Polygon about the Spokesperson of God, the Spokesperson's design is reminiscent of the Goetia Demons, which is an artistic coincidence, not an intentional connection. Vivziepop explains that the Spokesperson has some design elements of how she draws the Goetia demons, such as stoic birds, but the Spokesperson is conceived as a phoenix with a lot of "mystical bird energy".[1] Another reason, she says, is that Lucifer created the Goetia, and since he came from Heaven, there is aesthetically a celestial element in some elements of the Goetia. Therefore, the Spokesperson's similarities to the avian Goetia members also make sense spiritually, since the Goetia technically originated in an angelic place through Lucifer.[1] Although the Spokesperson of God refers to speaking in God's name, Vivziepop considers the concept of God to be so ethereal and incomprehensible by its very nature that she does not wish to represent Him completely. Therefore, the Spokesperson is the closest the Hellaverse will get to what is considered God, as a being who represents God but is not God. In an interview in early 2026, Vivziepop explained that while the Spokesperson did not do much in season 2, she is important to the overall narrative of Hazbin Hotel.
