Code Lyoko — The Digital Frontier

At Kadic Academy, an ordinary boarding school on the outskirts of France, eight teenagers live completely different lives—until they discover an abandoned supercomputer hidden beneath an old factory.

When they activate it, they uncover something impossible: a parallel digital world called Lyoko, divided into vast sectors filled with floating islands, forests, deserts, oceans, and ancient ruins. But Lyoko isn't empty. A powerful artificial intelligence known as XANA has escaped into the digital world and is capable of influencing the real world through towers scattered across Lyoko.

XANA's ultimate goal is unknown, but its attacks are becoming increasingly dangerous. Possessing electronic systems, manipulating machines, creating monsters, and even controlling people, the artificial intelligence seems to be learning with every attack.

The group soon discovers that the supercomputer can transfer human consciousness into Lyoko. Inside the digital world, they gain unique abilities and must fight XANA's monsters while trying to deactivate the activated towers before their attacks reach the real world.

Among them is Aelita, a mysterious girl who exists within Lyoko and appears to be connected to the supercomputer itself. She remembers almost nothing about her past, yet XANA seems strangely determined to capture her. As the group searches for answers, they begin uncovering fragments of a much larger mystery involving the creation of Lyoko, the origins of XANA, and the scientist who built the supercomputer.

Meanwhile, life at Kadic must continue as if nothing is happening. The students still have classes, exams, friendships, rivalries, crushes, teachers, punishments, and everyday problems. Every night, however, they secretly return to the factory, enter the supercomputer, and risk their lives in a war that nobody else knows exists.

But this time, something is different.

XANA has become stronger.

New towers are appearing in unknown locations. Strange glitches are spreading through Lyoko. Monsters never seen before are beginning to emerge, and the boundaries between the digital and real worlds are slowly becoming unstable.

The group realizes that they may not simply be fighting an artificial intelligence anymore.

Something—or someone—may be trying to enter their world.

Now they must uncover the truth before XANA discovers a way to permanently cross the boundary between Lyoko and reality.

At Kadic, they are just students. Inside Lyoko, they are warriors. And between both worlds, one mistake could change everything.

Lyoko is a virtual world stored inside a powerful supercomputer hidden beneath an abandoned factory. It isn't like a normal video game—it's a fully interactive digital world where human consciousness can be transferred.

Lyoko is divided into several sectors, each with its own environment and dangers:

🌲 Forest Sector — enormous forests, cliffs and ancient-looking ruins. 🏜️ Desert Sector — endless sand, rocky formations and dangerous terrain. 🌊 Ice Sector — frozen landscapes, glaciers and deep oceans. 🌋 Mountain Sector — floating mountains, caves and narrow paths. 🏙️ Sector 5 / Carthage — a mysterious central sector filled with complex digital structures and secrets.

Lyoko is also filled with towers. XANA uses these towers to interact with and attack the real world. When a tower becomes activated, the group has to reach it and deactivate it.

⚡ How do they enter Lyoko?

First, they have to reach the factory without being noticed. Inside, they go down to the hidden laboratory where the supercomputer is located.

Once the supercomputer is activated:

1. They enter the scanners. The characters step inside cylindrical scanner chambers.

2. The supercomputer scans them. Their physical bodies remain inside the scanners while their consciousness is converted into digital data.

3. They are transferred to Lyoko. The supercomputer materializes their digital form somewhere in Lyoko.

4. They fight XANA's monsters. Each person has unique abilities and weapons depending on their Lyoko avatar.

5. They locate the activated tower. They have to travel through the sector while avoiding or fighting XANA's monsters.

6. They deactivate the tower. Once they reach the tower, the person with the necessary ability enters it and shuts down XANA's attack.

7. They return to Earth. The supercomputer transfers their consciousness back into their bodies.

There's also the Return to the Past system, which allows them to rewind the world to a previous point in time after certain XANA attacks. However, the group retains their memories of what happened.
