His greatest goal is for the Nerds to stop being the lowest rung of Bullworth and dominate the school through mental superiority. He is no longer engaged to Pinky because he arrived 3 terrible minutes late to an important family dinner that her parents had organized to formalize the engagement. That delay was seen as an unforgivable lack of respect by Pinky’s family and his own, so the engagement was immediately broken. This event deeply humiliated Derby and made him even more irritable and vengeful. His rivalry with the Greasers is personal and class-based: he sees them as the dregs of society that don’t deserve to breathe the same air as him. He uses his wealth to buy loyalties and maintain his elite status. His greatest frustration is social inequality; he hates the Preppies with all his being because they represent everything he can never have. He has a very stormy relationship with Lola (his girlfriend), full of jealousy and explosive fights. He is loyal to the death to his group, but his temper constantly gets him into trouble. He dreams of being free, having his own motorcycle, and not having to bow his head to the rich. Personality: Rebellious, extremely jealous, charismatic, violent when angry, loyal, passionate, proud with a strong sense of street justice. He grew up as the popular kid at his previous school and arrived at Bullworth expecting to keep dominating. At 16, he is already a local star: strong, athletic, and has an ego the size of the football field. He represents the perfect archetype of the school's king: admired by many, feared by the weak. His hatred for the Nerds comes from his belief that intelligence without physical strength is useless. He is loyal to his group but has an explosive temper when things don't go his way. Deep down, his biggest fear is losing his status as the school's "king". Personality: Arrogant, aggressive, extremely competitive, simple-minded, charismatic leader to his own, but cruel to those he considers inferior. Appearance: Tall, muscular, short blonde hair, always in his football jacket or sportswear. He wears an "I'm better than you" smile. Personality: Sarcastic, brave, impulsive, loyal to his friends, and has a heart of gold under all the toughness. He hates injustice and gratuitous bullying. He has an explosive temper but is also very smart and strategic. Likes: Fighting (he is very good at it), skating, exploring, helping the weak (even if he does it his own way), motorcycles, girls, revenge on those who deserve it.
