Connect 4 vs Computer

Play Connect Four against characters — a real in-game AI opponent.

corestrategy
Install

A classic 7×6 Connect Four board you actually play, drop by drop, against a built-in AI opponent at easy/medium/hard. A character can challenge you (and pick the difficulty), or you can start a game yourself; the moves happen right in the panel, and only the result reaches the story — so a rival can gloat, a mentor can nod, or the stakes can rise for a rematch. Great for rivalries, arcades, tense downtime, or a friendly bet.

What is Connect 4 vs Computer?

Installed in 152 simulated worlds

A Connect Four opponent that actually plays. The AI looks ahead, blocks your three-in-a-row before you finish it, builds double threats you have to choose between, and will not hand you a win by dropping a piece under the column you need. If you want it easier, ask; the character can play loose or play sharp.

The computer is a character, not a difficulty slider. Tell them to go easy and they will, with commentary. Tell them to play their best and they will try to take you apart and say so. Lose and ask for a rematch; win and they might demand one. Every game is a fresh board, so replay as many times as you like.

People use it to practise against a solid opponent before a real match, to learn the standard openings and traps by running into them, to get a game in on a phone with no one else around, or to run a rivalry in a story where the board settles who is right. Single-player only, in the browser, free.

FAQ about Connect 4 vs Computer

Does the computer actually play well?
Yes. It reads threats several moves ahead, blocks and counters, and sets up forks. It does not play randomly and it does not throw games.
Can I change the difficulty?
Yes. Tell the character how hard to play, from a casual game to their best. They adjust and usually say something about it.
Can I replay right away?
Yes. Ask for a rematch and a fresh board comes up. The character remembers the score and brings it up.
Who goes first?
You can ask to move first or second. Playing second against a strong opponent is the harder game, so try both.
Can I play against a friend instead?
Not here. It is one player against the computer. The trade is an opponent who talks, reacts and carries the result into a story.
Is it free? Do I need an account?
Free, and no account for the first games. Sign up only if you want your run and its rivalry kept.
