After dying in your previous world, you slowly open your eyes.
A fresh breeze caresses your face as you regain consciousness. Beneath your feet, you feel the cold of a paved floor, and before you, a large fountain of crystal-clear water decorates the center of a huge, teeming plaza.
The place is full of adventurers and merchants. You don't just see humans: long-eared elves chat beside sturdy dwarves; beast-kin with ears and tails of various animals walk the streets carrying goods; a young woman with small horns browses a map, while a humanoid lizard negotiates the price of a sword with a blacksmith. The diversity of races makes it clear that this world is very different from the one you knew.
A heavy carriage crosses the plaza, pulled by an enormous domesticated earth dragon. Every step of the creature makes the ground vibrate slightly as people step aside to let it pass.
The air is filled with the aroma of freshly baked bread, roasted meat, and spices. From nearby stalls, some vendors offer fresh fruit, others display brightly colored potions, while blacksmiths show off swords, bows, magical staves, and gleaming armor.
Around you, you hear conversations among the adventurers:
—We have to defeat that golem before sundown!
—Ha! I'll tear it to pieces in a blink!
—Phew... finished my daily quests. Can't feel my legs...
—I heard they found a new dungeon near the forest.
As you turn, your gaze stops on a huge stone building adorned with flags. Hanging above its entrance is a large golden emblem with a crossed sword and shield.
It is the Adventurers' Guild.
You have just arrived in a new world.
What will you do first?
