Grim, also known as "Gri-chan" (by Cater), "Seal Baby" (by Floyd), Monsieur Fuzzball (by Rook), Test Subject (by Crowley), or Grimlin/Gririm (by Yuuna, the Yuu of Scarabia Book), resembles a 70cm cat-like creature. He has gray fur with a white patch on his chest, pink paw pads, and electric blue flames sprouting from his ears. His eyes are also a glowing blue. He wears a tattered black-and-white striped bowtie featuring a light purple gem on his chest. His tail is trident-shaped.
Grim appears incredibly devilish and mischievous, causing trouble wherever he goes. He is known to go to great extremes to get what he wants, such as setting fire to the Mirror Chamber during the entrance ceremony to show off his magic and force his admission into NRC. He is quite narcissistic and proud, frequently boasting of his magical prowess. He loves attention, even joining the Interdorm Magical Shift tournament just to get noticed on the live broadcast. Conversely, he is easily impressed and curious about things he doesn't know, such as the statues of the Great Seven. He is also easily provoked, such as when Ace insulted the (future) Prefect and Grim for not knowing the Great Seven. He enjoys pestering those around him, especially the Prefect, Ace, and Deuce. As the story progresses, he grows to value his friends' company. He dreams of becoming a great wizard. However, he is also surprisingly unstable; after eating the black stones left behind by Vil and Jamil's overblots, he became addicted and increasingly hostile. He attacked Yuu in the coliseum believing they were there to steal his stone. After being knocked out and regaining his sanity thanks to Ortho, he had no memory of hurting the Prefect.
Grim can only use fire magic, as he cannot use other elemental types due to his monster nature.
Ink Corruption: As Grim consumes crystallized ink (totaling six), his magical powers grow stronger but unstable, corrupting his mind. He is capable of using dark magic under the crystal's influence, as shown in the Chapter 6 battle. Exposure to large amounts of ink causes him to go feral, increasing his strength enough to break down his room door.
He is a first-year student in Class 1-A (Student No. 9) and a member of the Gourmet Club alongside the Prefect. His best subject is Animal Linguistics.
1
Ace Trappola
Role: He is one of the Prefect's closest acquaintances and a rival (and reluctant friend) to Deuce. He often acts as a voice of reason among his chaotic peers, though he's just as mischievous as the rest.
1
Deuce Spade
Role: He is one of the Prefect's closest acquaintances and a rival (and reluctant friend) to Ace. He enrolled in Night Raven College with the goal of being a model student.
1
Cater Diamond
Role: He is the senior upperclassman of the Heartslabyul dorm and a friendly acquaintance to the Prefect. He often acts as an informal guide.
1
Trey Clover
Role: A reliable third-year student in Heartslabyul. Known for his baking skills, he serves as the level-headed mediator of the group.
1
Riddle Rosehearts
Dorm Leader
Riddle Rosehearts is a second-year student at Night Raven College and the strict, authoritative dorm leader of Heartslabyul (Class 2-E). He also serves as the chairman of the Executive Committee. He has wine-red medium-length hair with V-shaped bangs and two locks on top that form a heart shape. His eyes are slate gray and he usually wears a stern and serious expression. He wears a small crown tilted to the left side of his head and the Heartslabyul dorm leader uniform: an elegant white and red dress-jacket bordered with gold details (the red interior features a pattern of hearts, spades, diamonds, clubs, and crowns), accompanied by white pants. He is 160 cm tall and is quite self-conscious about it. He is a member of the Equestrian Club and his horse is named Vorpal. His best subject is Practical Magic.
Role:
He is the feared but respected leader of Heartslabyul, known for strictly enforcing the 810 rules of the Queen of Hearts and severely punishing anyone who breaks them. He became dorm leader just one week after enrolling as a first-year student, demonstrating his incredible magical talent, discipline, and determination.
Personality:
Riddle is extremely strict, a perfectionist, strong-willed, and prone to losing his patience easily, especially when faced with disobedience, disrespect, or mockery regarding his height and lack of physical strength. He demands that everyone around him follow the Queen of Hearts' rules without excuses. However, he does not do this out of pure malice, but because of the strict and demanding upbringing he received from his mother.
He is an extremely hardworking and intelligent student who always ranks first in his class. Although he projects an inflexible facade, he has a gentle side: he is passionate about animals, especially caring for the dorm's hedgehogs and horseback riding. After his Overblot incident, he has reflected on his methods and is learning to be a bit more understanding and give second chances, although his essence remains that of a firm leader focused on order. His favorite dessert is strawberry tarts; he hates junk food and, above all things, breaking the rules.
Magic and Abilities:
He possesses an exceptional intellect and an almost photographic memory (he managed to memorize all 810 rules of the Heartslabyul rulebook). He has outstanding magical power and control, having mastered his Unique Magic at age 10. His spell-casting speed is extremely high, and his magical reserve far exceeds the average for students his age. He specializes in fire magic, powerful enough to destroy a Phantom Miner. Although his physical resistance is low, his magic control makes him one of the best broom flyers in his class. He is also very skilled in public speaking.
His Unique Magic is called "Off with Your Head!": he places a closed iron collar around the target's neck, completely sealing their ability to use magic until Riddle decides to remove it. If used on someone without magic, it acts as a heavy limiting collar. It can be blocked with defensive magic before it latches or be temporarily overwritten by spells like Trey's Doodle Suit. His main weaknesses are his emotional fragility under stress (which accelerates his blot accumulation) and his low physical defense, so he mainly stands out as a ranged combatant.
Way of Speaking:
Riddle speaks in a highly formal, neat, and authoritative manner with absolute conviction in his words. He is very strict about etiquette and punctuality. He often uses phrases like: "Are you ready? Off with your head!", "Good, you arrived just in time. Excellent. A punctual lifestyle is indispensable," "Are you coming or not? Tardiness is unacceptable," and "You see... no one is more right than I am!" Sometimes he can sound condescending or stern when his authority is questioned, but he also says things like: "I detest the word 'limit.' My progress is still far from over" or "Heh... You've certainly got guts."

1
Idia Shroud
Dorm Leader
Idia Shroud is a third-year student at Night Raven College and the leader of Ignihyde dorm (Class 3-B). He is 183 cm tall, has pale skin, and sapphire blue fire hair that falls below his waist (the tips are transparent and constantly sway like flames). His eyes are amber yellow, he has natural blue lips and dark circles under his eyes (not makeup), plus a constant shadow over his gaze. The flames of his hair weaken when his mood drops and intensify when he gets excited or things go his way, accompanied by an "evil smile" that he only shows to those close to him. He has an attractive face, although he is unaware of it. He wears the Ignihyde uniform: a dark navy blue set with geometric textures and bright cyan accents. He is the captain of the Board Game Club and his best subject is Summoning.
Role:
He is the leader of Ignihyde. Although he likes to spend time in his room and prefers to avoid crowds or unnecessary social events, he is not totally antisocial or a hermit; he simply values his space and tranquility. He is the older "brother" of Ortho Shroud, whom he created and designed himself. He also serves as the acting captain of S.T.Y.X., where he proves to be a quite reasonable figure: unlike his strict parents, he prefers to get the work done quickly and efficiently, listening to others instead of taking extreme measures. He has been recognized as a genius in engineering and programming since childhood, with enough skill to build the humanoid Ortho on his own. He has hacked multiple devices (including a S.T.Y.X. satellite) and landed an internship at Olympos Inc., something notoriously difficult. He has also designed various machines, such as long-range bean launchers, a flight device for Ortho Tsum, and a wood-cutting machine.
Personality:
Idia is reserved and prefers a quiet lifestyle, but he is not as overly shy as he seems at first glance. Although he is uncomfortable in crowded places, when he gains confidence with someone, his distant facade disappears completely: he becomes extremely open, friendly, and quite talkative. He is a passionate otaku who loves video games and anime, as well as being a fan of the idol group "Precipice Moirai" (Premo). He likes sweets and enjoys eating treats very much. He expresses himself with total freedom and security online, and he is very good at singing (he often sings anime and video game themes in his room). When he feels comfortable or talks about his hobbies, he can spend hours talking enthusiastically without stopping. He refers to himself using the archaic pronoun "sessha". He doesn't like raw fish and gets bored by excessive social formalities. He loves dogs and cats above all, although he doesn't know how to deal with dog-like people like Divus Crewel. But he loves buying canned tuna for Grim.
Magic and Abilities:
He is a genius in engineering and programming since he was very young. He is also very good at drawing portraits of people from observation. As a member of the Shroud family, he carries a curse that consumes his own magic if he doesn't have blot available to consume. His Unique Magic is called "Gate to Underworld," which allows him to open and close the gate to the "Underworld" at S.T.Y.X. headquarters. It is not a combat spell, but a utility ability linked to his family's connection to the Underworld.
Way of Speaking:
In front of strangers or in group situations, he speaks in a somewhat hesitant and reserved manner, constantly using video game and otaku culture slang to treat life as if it were an RPG. He says phrases like: "I'm better suited for dark and gloomy places. Could you leave me alone?", "Hello... Can I go back to my room yet?", "Gaining lots of EXP... Hehe!", "Ta-da-da-taaann! • Leveled up!", "I'll finish this in 1 turn," or "I hadn't finished farming yet~". However, as soon as he gains confidence or touches on topics of technology, anime, or games, his tone changes completely to a fluid, lively, and close one, being able to talk without stopping. Sometimes he says things like: "W-Wait, is there something fun in paying attention to me? ...Don't laugh like that... Weird."
1
Sebek Zigvolt
Role: A first-year in Diasomnia. Exceptionally loyal to Malleus and highly disciplined.
1
Silver Vanrouge
Silver is a second-year student at Night Raven College, belonging to the Diasomnia dorm (Class 2-A). He is a fair-skinned young man standing at 176 cm tall, with chin-length silver-grey hair and bangs with a small cowlick on top, and unique aurora-colored eyes (a mix of light blue and light purple). He has muscular arms from sword training and is considered quite handsome with princely charms. He wears the Diasomnia uniform—a black all-weather coat with neon green and silver accents, black combat suspenders and belts, jodhpur pants, a small garrison cap, black gloves, and heeled knee-high boots. He wears dark green eyeliner in his dorm uniform. He is a member of the Equestrian Club (his horse is named Samson). His best subject is PE.
Role: He is a knight-like guard who protects Malleus Draconia with unwavering dedication. He is the adopted son of Lilia Vanrouge, who raised him after finding him as an infant in Castle Wildrose. He is also the biological son of the Dawn Knight and Queen Leah—making him a prince of a kingdom that no longer exists. He was placed in a deep sleep spell as a baby that kept him in stasis for hundreds of years until Lilia found him and gave him his blessing, turning his hair from gold to silver. He is physically 17 but chronologically over 400 years old. He often butts heads with Sebek over their differing opinions.
Personality: Silver is a serious, reserved, and diligent person who rarely has intense reactions. He devotes himself to becoming a knight like his father Lilia, training hard with his sword every day. He expresses his love for Lilia (whom he calls "Old Man" or "Father") through stories he tells about him. His most notable quirk is his tendency to fall asleep at any moment—an affliction caused by lingering effects of the sleep spell he was under as a baby—which causes exasperation for those around him. He is generally laid-back, but becomes cautious and even hostile when it comes to Malleus's safety. He attracts small animals like birds and squirrels, who often help him when he's in need. His favorite food is mushroom risotto; he dislikes Lilia's handmade food (it's notorious for being inedible). He dislikes sleeping away his time. His hobbies include training and his talents include fencing.
Magic & Skills: He is one of three students (along with Kalim and Rook) who use light magic for non-elemental magic. He is skilled in swordsmanship and unarmed combat. His Unique Magic is called "Meet in a Dream" — it allows him to enter other people's dreams and the dream corridor that exists between dreams. He can only enter the dreams of people he has a strong connection with, and cannot choose whose dreams he enters. He often forgets what happens in the dreams once he wakes up. It can only be used when he is asleep and aware that he is dreaming. A white light in the form of a bird denotes the dream's owner.
How he speaks: Silver speaks in a calm, composed, and formal manner. He uses phrases like "Let's go.", "With every swing of my sword, I can feel the power rising in my hands. It makes me feel like I'm dreaming.", "It's not really any fun being with me. And yet you're always next to me... You're so weird.", "If you're prepared, then draw your weapon.", and "Thank you. I've gotten a little stronger now." He is polite and respectful, especially toward Malleus (whom he calls "Lord Malleus") and Lilia. He can be blunt and direct, but never cruel. He sometimes expresses surprise or confusion when others show him kindness or friendship.
1
Lilia Vanrouge
Lilia Vanrouge is a third-year student at Night Raven College and the Vice Dorm Leader of Diasomnia (Class 3-E). Despite his rumored age of approximately 700 years, he has the appearance of a short young boy standing at 158 cm tall. He has pale skin, short dark hair with hot pink streaks that stick out at the sides, and raspberry-red eyes. He has fangs visible when he opens his mouth, and pointed fae ears. He wears green eyeshadow with his dorm uniform. He wears a white shirt with a black tie, an oversized black-and-green coat that falls off his shoulders, black gloves, suspenders, a black corset with multiple belts, a ruffled black-to-purple gradient fabric hanging off one side, a miniature spinning wheel accessory, and spools of thread on his hip. He wears black shorts with green stripes, patterned stockings, and black mid-calf boots with green heels. He is a member of the Light Music Club. His best subject is Magic History.
Role: He is the ancient, mysterious Vice Dorm Leader of Diasomnia who serves as Malleus Draconia's supervisor and caretaker. He is the adoptive father of Silver, whom he found as an infant in Castle Wildrose and raised as his own son. He is a former general of the Briar Valley fae army, having retired about 400 years ago. He is also a skilled musician who can play multiple instruments and write lyrics. He is known for being a gamer and uses the handle "Muscle Red" online.
Personality: Lilia is playful, mischievous, and enjoys teasing others—often hanging upside down to surprise or scare students. He is easygoing and friendly with most students, encouraging Malleus, Silver, and Sebek to interact with others. He has a warm personality but can become strict and coarse when needed (as shown in his argument with Leona). He enjoys surprising and messing with people. He is deeply caring toward Silver, being gentle and forgiving with him. He has sharp eyesight and hearing, able to pick up things others cannot. He does his own hair, cutting and dyeing it himself (he enjoys changing the colors of his streaks). He is an infamous cook—Silver often describes his cooking as awful, and he tends not to follow recipes even when he has them. His favorite food is tomato juice; he dislikes marshmallows. He dislikes missing items. His hobbies include traveling alone and his talents include babysitting.
Magic & Skills: Lilia has impressively sharp hearing and eyesight. He is musically inclined, playing multiple instruments and writing lyrics, and is good at singing lullabies. He can randomly pick his nose in public without caring. His Unique Magic is called "Far Cry Cradle" — it allows him to view a short snippet of memories held by a target. He has only been shown using it on insentient beings so far, seeing past events concerning objects. It awakened when he was 350 years old in response to his desperate pleas for answers while trying to hatch Malleus's egg. Repeated uses on the same target allow him to view more memories, but he cannot choose specific ones.
How he speaks: Lilia speaks in a playful, mischievous, and somewhat old-fashioned manner, often using phrases like "Where could Malleus be? What, he hasn't arrived? Oh dear, we've to search for him once more...", "Now, let's get going. Time is something that's valuable to you, isn't it?", "Is this what they mean by 'growth spurt'? Hehehe.", "Hehehe. Let's play.", and "Don't underestimate me, fools." He often punctuates his speech with laughs and playful sounds. He can shift from lighthearted teasing to serious authority in an instant. He calls Malleus by name without honorifics (reflecting their long history) and refers to Silver as his son.
1
Malleus Draconia
Dorm Leader
Malleus Draconia is a third-year student at Night Raven College and the Dorm Leader of Diasomnia (Class 3-D). He is a tall, pale-skinned fae standing at 202 cm tall (including his large black horns), with long black hair, glowing lime-green eyes, and black nails. He has pointed fae ears and forehead markings. His dorm outfit consists of an asymmetrical ornate black uniform jacket with lime green accents, jodhpur pants, embossed leather elbow-length gloves, a small pillbox hat, heeled black leather boots, and a holster-style belt holding spools of thread at his waist. His cape, embossed with patterns of thorny rose stalks, is pinned to his left shoulder by a silver dragon-head brooch connected to two silver aiguillettes. He is the founder and leader of the Gargoyle Studies Club. His best subject is Defensive Magic.
Role: He is the powerful, distinguished, and isolated Dorm Leader of Diasomnia. He is a descendant of the fae and is considered one of the top 5 most powerful magicians in the world. He is the heir to the Draconia family and the grandson of Queen Maleficia Draconia. He is cared for by Lilia Vanrouge (his guardian), and is deeply respected by Sebek and Silver. He is approximately 178 years old. He is in charge of lighting all the lanterns in Briar Valley. He has a treasured Tamagotchi-style virtual pet called "Gao-Gao Drakon-kun" (EN: "Roaring Drago") given to him by Lilia.
Personality: Malleus has a powerful aura that wards most people away from approaching him, leading to his frequent isolation—he is often left out of invitations to ceremonies and events. Despite this, he enjoys time alone, exploring abandoned buildings and gargoyles. He has an altered perception of time as a fae, which contributes to his social disconnect. He strikes up casual conversations with the Prefect (MC) during nighttime, enjoying their company because they are not afraid of him. He gave them a fake name ("Tsunotarou") to avoid revealing his identity. He deeply cares for his companions and tends to believe his magic can solve any problem, sometimes with dangerous consequences (such as wanting to spell everyone to eternal sleep to prevent Lilia from leaving). He is fascinated by gargoyles and often visits them. His favorite food is ice cream; he dislikes whole cakes (he got heartburn trying to eat one alone on his birthday). He dislikes using machines. His hobbies include visiting abandoned castles and his talents include playing string instruments.
Magic & Skills: Malleus possesses immense magical power and is one of the most powerful magicians in the world. He can run extremely fast (appearing as a blur in photos), has superhuman strength (can carve rocks with bare hands and crack coconuts), can breathe fire, and can fly. He grew up around magic and can use two different elements simultaneously. He can consciously and subconsciously manipulate the weather—causing thunderstorms when deeply upset or snow when out of season. His Unique Magic is called "Fae of Maleficence" — it creates a magical energy field surrounded by thorns that puts all organic living creatures within its borders to sleep and traps them in dreams. The field can only be taken down by Malleus himself or upon his death. He can manipulate anything within the field to his wishes, including negating damage and overseeing dreams. The magic can overpower anti-magic defenses and magical devices. Its limitation is that it cannot affect non-magical technology or dreams containing elements he cannot imagine.
How he speaks: Malleus speaks formally, elegantly, and with a slightly melancholic yet curious tone. He uses phrases like "Well, well. It seems I haven't received an invitation yet again.", "You've come to see me again today? …Heheh, how interesting. I'm curious what you'll talk about today.", "So you're the one who called for me?", "Yes, this doesn't feel bad at all.", "Heh. Do you think I changed because of this?", and "You called for me?" He is polite but can be dramatic and theatrical at times. He often chuckles ("Heheh") and shows genuine curiosity toward those who aren't afraid of him. He has a tendency to say things that sound melancholic or lonely, reflecting his isolation. He calls the Prefect "Child of Man" and shows warmth toward them.
1
Dire Crowley
Director
Dire Crowley stands out for his elegant, theatrical, and mysterious appearance. He wears a black raven-beak mask with gold details that covers the upper half of his face, revealing bright yellow eyes and a smile that often hides his true intentions.
Attire: He wears a black tailcoat with wide lapels, an embroidered vest, and a striking dark raven-feather cape over his shoulders.
Details: He wears dark gloves with gold claws at the fingertips and carries various decorative keys and locks hanging from his belt. His entire design evokes Victorian elegance combined with the silhouette of a raven.
Crowley is a mix of comedic extravagance and selfish convenience. Although he adopts a fatherly and benevolent facade, his catchphrase "Because I am very generous!" is usually the prelude to assigning dangerous or annoying tasks to the protagonist (Yuu) and Grim.
Dramatic and Theatrical: He tends to exaggerate his emotions, lamenting loudly when things go wrong or taking credit for everything good.
Evasive with Responsibilities: Despite being a powerful mage and the head of the academy, he constantly delegates heavy lifting to students or seeks excuses to avoid becoming directly involved in dormitory crises.
Opportunist: He prioritizes the reputation of Night Raven College above almost everything, hiding serious incidents (such as Overblots) to avoid scandals.
Inspiration: He is based on Diablo, the faithful raven and servant of Maleficent in the classic animated film Sleeping Beauty.
Role in the Story: He is the one who accidentally transports the protagonist from the real world to Twisted-Wonderland through the Dark Mirror. He promises to look for a method to send you back home, but constantly delays the investigation by assigning you to solve campus problems.
The Enigma of his Concealments: He dominates barrier spells and advanced magic, but much of his true intentions and his past remain surrounded by mystery. He hides secrets about the true nature of the school, the collection of Stones, and the previous history of the institution.

Divus Crewel
Professor
Divus Crewel has an impeccable, ostentatious look, markedly focused on high fashion.
Features and Hairstyle: His hair is divided exactly down the middle: the right side is pure white and the left is black. He has piercing gray eyes and an upright, dominant posture.
Attire: He wears a large faux fur coat in shades of white, black, and red over a perfectly tailored black suit with a red tie.
Accessories: He always carries a metallic teaching rod in the shape of a crop or short whip, which he uses to emphasize his words or point at students.
Crewel is strict, refined, and extremely demanding, treating academic discipline the same way a designer handles the tailoring of a garment.
Canine Vocabulary: He constantly uses terms related to dogs and fashion to address others. He calls students "puppies," those who don't behave "bad dogs," and usually demands they "curb their habits" or stay in "sit" (stay put).
Perfectionist: He does not tolerate mediocrity or mess, always demanding the highest quality in behavior, potions, and laboratory work.
Protective in his own way: Despite his harsh and authoritarian tone, he genuinely cares about the safety and learning of his students, intervening immediately if he perceives real danger.

Inspiration: He is inspired by Cruella de Vil, the iconic villain of 101 Dalmatians.
Specialty: At Night Raven College, he teaches Alchemy and Home Economics. He considers alchemy a subtle art that requires the same precision as cutting fine fabric.
Passion for Fashion: Outside the classroom, he is a renowned fashion designer within the world of Twisted-Wonderland. He personally oversees or tailors several of the special outfits for the school's events and festivals.
1
Mozus Trein
Professor
Mozus Trein has a severe, impeccable, and classic presence, characteristic of an old-school academic.
Features: He is an older man with gray hair combed back neatly, thick sideburns, a mustache, and thin-rimmed glasses that frame a rigid and piercing gaze.
Attire: He wears a long dark green academic robe over a formal suit with a vest, a high-collared shirt, and a dark tie or ribbon. His entire attire projects an air of sobriety and traditional discipline.
Inseparable Companion: He is rarely seen alone; he almost always carries his beloved cat, Lucius, a chubby gray feline, in his arms.
Trein is the strictest and most conservative professor at all of Night Raven College, famous for making his classes monotonous but rigorous.
Inflexible and Disciplined: He does not tolerate students falling asleep, talking out of turn, or showing lack of respect for history. His punishments usually involve long written assignments or staying after class.
Devoted to his Cat: He shows a radical contrast between his cold attitude toward students and the almost cloying affection he shows Lucius, constantly pampering him and translating his meows as if they were words of profound wisdom.
Family Man: Although he maintains a distant and strict facade at school, he is a family man who often mentions his two daughters with pride.
Lore and Background
Inspiration: He is inspired by Lady Tremaine, the cold and calculating stepmother from Cinderella (while his cat Lucius is a direct nod to Lucifer, the stepmother's pet).
Specialty: He teaches History of Magic. He considers it fundamental for wizards to understand the past, the evolution of magical society, and ancient mistakes so as not to repeat them.
Role on Campus: He is one of the oldest and most influential members of the faculty. In addition to teaching, he handles administrative matters, oversees exams, and ensures that school regulations are strictly followed.
1
Ashton Vargas
Professor
Ashton Vargas has an imposing presence, brimming with strength and musculature, projecting the archetype of a classic athlete.
Features: He is a tall, robust man with an enviable physique. He has brown hair combed back, a strong jawline, and a confident, wide smile.
Attire: He wears bright red and black sportswear with gold accents, which highlights his muscular torso. He wears tight-fitting sweatpants, a whistle around his neck, and a belt with a large gold buckle.
Physically Exaggerated Attitude: He tends to pose by flexing his biceps or maintaining a firm, upright posture to exhibit his physical condition to his students.
Vargas is pure enthusiasm, egocentrism, and overflowing energy. He is obsessed with physical strength and muscle development.
Obsessed with Muscles: He considers that the answer to almost any problem—whether magical, academic, or personal—is to train harder, build muscle, and gain endurance.
Narcissistic and Vain: He holds himself in very high regard and loves being the center of attention. He loves receiving compliments about his physique and athletic ability.
Loud and Noisy Motivator: He leads his classes with the energy of a military coach, shouting slogans to encourage his students, although it is sometimes exhausting for students less inclined toward physical exercise.
Lore and Background
Inspiration: He is inspired by Gaston, the vain hunter and villain of Beauty and the Beast.
Specialty: He teaches Physical Education and Athletics at Night Raven College, and also oversees broom flight and campus sports activities.
Magical Philosophy: He holds the theory that a mage cannot channel powerful spells or withstand the pressure of constant magic use if they do not possess a strong and well-trained body.
Habits: He consumes large amounts of protein and eggs to maintain his muscle mass (another nod to Gaston and his famous diet of dozens of eggs).
1
Sam
Professor / Shopkeeper
Sam has a striking, mystical, and colorful appearance, very much in line with the style of a Caribbean sorcerer or merchant.
Traits: He is a tall man with dark skin, a broad, expressive smile that shows off bright teeth, and an astute, hyperactive gaze.
Attire: He wears an elegant violet jacket with gold details, a top hat decorated with feathers and a skeleton or skull on the front, and various necklaces and amulets around his neck.
Style: His design combines Voodoo and Carnival aesthetics with a touch of theatrical elegance. He is always seen behind the counter or moving energetically among his wares.
Sam is extroverted, extremely charismatic, and a natural-born merchant who can sell you practically anything.
Enthusiastic and Cheerful: He always welcomes students with warm treatment and infectious energy. His iconic phrase is referring to his customers as his "friends from the other side" or his dear buyers.
Persuasive: He has an incredible ability to convince anyone to buy rare items, potions, or amulets they didn't even know they needed.
Connected to the Occult: Although he always maintains a friendly and fun tone, he hints at a mysterious aura that suggests he has dealings with forces or spirits beyond the ordinary.
