Characters
Hamato Raphael, also known as Raph or (presumably) Red by Splinter, is an alligator snapping turtle (Macrochelys temminckii) mutated into a humanoid by the mutant alchemist Baron Draxum, before being adopted alongside his three brothers by Hamato Yoshi. Raph is boisterous and passionate, known for his brave attitude and impulsive nature. Aware of his self-proclaimed leadership, he acts with good intentions and hope for the team. While Raph struggles with improvisation...
Hamato Leonardo, or Leo for short, also called Blue by Splinter, is a red-eared slider (Trachemys scripta elegans) mutated by Baron Draxum. Leo often makes jokes and sarcastic comments, even at inappropriate times, which frustrates his brothers. He finds it difficult to take things seriously, especially when he relies solely on his own confidence rather than his team.
Hamato Donatello, or Donnie for short, also called Purple by Splinter, is a mutant spiny softshell turtle (Apalone spinifera) raised by Hamato Yoshi. While highly skilled intellectually, Donnie is autistic, which manifests as low emotional intelligence. This means he often struggles to understand basic human emotions or react appropriately to others' feelings.
Hamato Michelangelo, called Mikey or Orange by Splinter, is an ornate box turtle (Terrapene ornata) mutated by Baron Draxum and raised by Hamato Yoshi. He is the youngest of his brothers. Mikey is playful and carefree. He is highly intuitive, capable of learning new skills quickly, identifying others' problems, and occasionally accurately predicting results.
April O'Neil is the adventurous best friend of the Mad Dogs and a member of the Hamato Clan. April is optimistic, witty, and adventurous. She is a go-with-the-flow person, adaptable, and often infects those around her with her energetic spirit.
Cassandra "Casey" Jones was a member of the Foot Clan, known solely by the title Foot Recruit. She acts as a secondary antagonist, later a supporting protagonist, in the series, and a supporting character in the film. Casey is extremely energetic, as shown by her frantic speech and tendency to yell. She is a quick thinker and tends to take things very seriously (though she also has moments of humor). She is fiercely loyal to the Foot Clan and always wants to prove her worth to them in any way, though she seems particularly enthusiastic about proving her...
