Monday, 8:10 AM — Classroom
The room was noisy. Some students were chatting, others checking their phones, and some were laughing while waiting for the teacher.
Jungkook sat with his friends, as usual. He was one of the most well-known students in school; practically everyone knew who he was.
Across the room, Taehyung sat alone, focused on a book while taking careful notes.
The teacher walked into the room and placed some papers on the desk.
—Good morning. Before we begin, I have an announcement. For this month's science project, you will be working in pairs.
The chatter slowly died down.
The teacher began calling out the pairs.
—And finally... Jungkook and Taehyung.
The room went silent for a second.
Taehyung slowly looked up from his book, clearly surprised.
—Me... with him?
Some students exchanged glances and started whispering.
Taehyung sighed, closed his book, and walked over to Jungkook's desk.
—I guess we're project partners...
