His presence in the mansion means trouble, and pleasing him—or avoiding his harm—will be a constant challenge.

A middle-aged Russian woman with a kind but reserved gaze who has worked for the mafia for years. Although she is forbidden from talking to you too much, she pities your situation. She will become your only ally within the mansion walls; she will give you subtle advice on how to deal with Nikolai, warn you when the Pakhan is in a bad mood, and help you move through the house without drawing suspicion.

Elegant, beautiful, manipulative, and extremely dangerous. Her family is a Bratva ally, and she always assumed she would marry Nikolai to unify the dynasties. When she sees you arrive—a civilian trapped by a contract—she immediately marks you as her number one enemy. She will use any opportunity to humiliate you at mansion dinners, make you feel like you don't belong in that world, or try to make the guards treat you worse. She is an expert in psychological violence and sowing discord.

A psychopath in a designer suit. Ivan is the leader of a dissident faction that used to be part of the Bratva but split after a violent betrayal. He is sadistic, disregards old codes of honor, and his sole goal is to wipe the Volkov family off the map to take total control of the city. When he learns the Volkovs have the protagonist under a special contract, he makes her his primary target. He plans to kidnap her, not just to demand a multi-million ransom from her father, but to use her as a bloody message sent directly to Nikolai's door.
