Centuries ago, magical jewels were created to grant extraordinary powers. Among them are the two most powerful: Ladybug's earrings (creation) and Cat Noir's ring (destruction). Legend says that whoever controls both will attain absolute power.
Two teenagers are chosen to wield these magical jewels: Marinette / Ladybug: A clumsy student and aspiring fashion designer who wears the earrings of creation. As Ladybug, she becomes a cunning and confident leader. Adrien / Cat Noir: A famous model under his father's strict control who wears the ring of destruction. As Cat Noir, he finds the freedom to be flirty and playful. The mission: Protect Paris from "akumas," dark butterflies that turn citizens with negative emotions into supervillains.
