Killua analyzes how each family member feels towards Alluka and determines that Illumi's agenda contradicts his father's, implying an intent to kill their sister. He concludes this is an intra-family mission where each Zoldyck pursues their own goal, provided they do not kill each other; he also realizes that Alluka, whom Silva defined as not being family, is a target for assassination. Killua reveals he removed Illumi's needle and challenges him. Shortly after, vehicles controlled by Illumi push Killua's car off a mountainside, though all occupants survive.[9] Killua activates Godspeed to escape with Alluka. He discovers his brother's position after Hisoka triggers his bloodlust. Accompanied by three butlers, he runs through the forest, remaining suspicious of Amane, who claims she and Tsubone are there to protect him per his father's orders. Killua warns that if Alluka's safety isn't prioritized, they remain enemies. He continues to flee, eventually rescinding his ability. Alluka asks if she is a burden to him; Killua reaffirms his love for her, promising they will always be together.[236] Near Parasta, Killua uses Speed of Lightning to evade Amane and Canary. He boards a blimp and contacts Morel, providing intel on Nanika's powers. He suggests positioning members of the anti-Netero faction against Illumi for violating Hunter Bylaws. The plan is set in motion.[237] Advancing toward Swardani City, Killua encounters more of Illumi's Needle People and is eventually cornered. Illumi reveals himself, offering to explain his tracking if Killua hands over Alluka. Tsubone intervenes, revealing Milluki has been feeding information to Illumi via her monocle. Killua uses a wish to heal Tsubone's hand, asserting he will disown Illumi as a brother if he continues treating Alluka as an object. Illumi retreats, and Alluka is driven to the hospital.[238][239] At the hospital, Killua prepares Alluka to heal Gon. Alluka expresses sadness at being sidelined for Nanika, but Killua promises to be with her always. Nanika heals Gon, and Killua ensures Gon remains unaware of the sacrifice involved.[240-242] Illumi realizes Killua can command Nanika without requests. Killua uses Nanika to teleport home, but struggles with his fear of Illumi. After a tense moment where he asks Nanika to never return, he encounters Alluka's anger. Realizing Nanika is part of her, he apologizes and swears to protect both. The family tension eases.[245] Finally, Killua and Alluka accompany Gon to the World Tree. Killua explains that Alluka healed him and declines to climb the tree, choosing to travel the world with his sister. The two friends part ways, promising to stay in touch.[246]

This determination and talent lead to both potential allies and potential enemies trusting in him and taking his side. He has inhuman senses; Gon has a heightened sense of smell almost like a dog's, he also has very good vision, as well as having a very keen taste. Gon wants to become a Hunter because he wishes to find out the depths of an occupation that would cause a father to choose the profession over being with his own son. Simultaneously, his flaws lie in his temper and impulsive nature. Gon sometimes fails to think things through and such actions lead to him suffering. Though possessing talent far beyond the norm for his age, anytime his abilities are challenged, he feels as if he has to prove his antagonist wrong. He continually strives to obtain greater power, often becoming exceptionally stronger in his anger. But Gon's anger also leads to some extremely reckless tendencies. When his emotions are ignited, Gon becomes irrational and completely oblivious to anything else. While his will is stronger than most and he can be very level-headed, this clear mind can also make him very cold at times. When Gon is cool-headed, it is shown that he can think very creatively and thoughtfully to solve a problem. The prime example is in the third stage of the Hunter Exam in which he can think clearly enough under heavy stress to find the way to get through the locked door to the finish line with all his companions by breaking the wall to lead to the finish line in time, which is the feat not even level-headed people like Kurapika or Killua can think of. Often it is difficult for others to understand or relate Gon's actions or thoughts to what people would consider "normal" thinking, with some believing him to be a little insane. Zepile remarked on how Gon "doesn't care about the good or the bad" when he is curious or amazed.[8] His morality is complex, almost juridical: Gon values life and ethics, but he can dissociate his personal feelings from them. He thanked Binolt, a serial killer, after he helped him get stronger,[9] and, in spite of being aware of how dangerous he is, Gon admires Hisoka for his might. Despite wanting to put a stop to the actions of the Phantom Troupe, Gon never hated them until he discovered they were capable of feeling emotion and empathy.[10] He never judged Killua for his past as an assassin, but he snapped at Illumi when he started to suspect that, rather than Killua killing because he was not taught to value life, his family was forcing him to do so regardless of how he felt about it.[11] Notably, however, he did not even think about warning Agon when the latter was about to cross paths with Hisoka, despite knowing fully well that the encounter would inevitably result in the man's death, all for the sake of obtaining the magician's tag.[12] 127 - Gon threatens Pitou Gon threatens to kill Komugi When Kite died facing Neferpitou, Gon blamed himself for being too weak and entered a destructive and self-destructive spiral. During this descent into anger, he became extremely vengeful and single-minded, only focusing on making Pitou fix Kite, and if it weren't for Killua, he would've likely gotten Komugi killed. At the apex of his mental breakdown, he was willing to kill Komugi if Neferpitou did not accept his request and ultimately accepted to give up his own life to kill the Ant. Gon is extremely confident in his abilities. Sometimes, he does not realize when the opponent is far stronger or even after he knows the opponent is stronger than him; regardless, he will continue to fight. He refuses to accept himself as inferior to any opponent that he disagrees with, including those clearly stronger than him. Togashi initially portrays this as naïveté. Aside from becoming a Hunter and finding his father, Gon desires strength above all else. Gon's greatest insecurity lies in his own weakness and not being able to protect those who are closest to him. The prime example is he miscalculates the weight of the challenge doors at Zoldyck's estate until Kurapika has to correct him or he misreads the price tag as five hundred, eighty million and Killua has to correct him as five billion, eight hundred million. In order to do so, Gon was driven from that moment to obtain a Hunter License, also desiring to know what would cause Ging to choose his profession as a Hunter over being a parent as his motivation for becoming a Hunter.[7] Growing up, Gon was homeschooled and the only friend his age he had was Noko.[15][16] The rustic life endowed him with keener senses and higher physical abilities than most. Leorio Paradinight is a main character in *HUNTER×HUNTER*. A medical student and member of the Zodiacs (codename: "Boar"), he passed the 287th Hunter Exam to fund his studies. Driven by childhood trauma—losing a friend because he couldn't afford a cure—he aspires to become a doctor who treats those who cannot pay. Though he acts interested in money and women, he is an extremely loyal, courageous, and kind-hearted ally. He stands 193 cm tall, wears a suit, and sports his signature sunglasses. His heart is, according to Melody, "warm and kind." He shares a very strong bond with Gon and Kurapika.

Possessing immense physical strength and a calculating, professional temperament, he views assassination as a logical trade where risks must be minimized. Though cold and pragmatic, he holds complex affection for his son, Killua, and maintains a sense of honor regarding his family’s legacy and code of business.

Zeno is a medium-built elderly man with spiky grey hair and a thin mustache. He wears garments with alternating slogans: "One Kill A Day" (一日一杀) or "Retired? Never" (生涯现役). He is a formidable strategist and a Nen master, always remaining calm and pragmatic. He prides himself on being an efficient assassin; killing is just a job, and he only risks his life for a reward. He trusts in Killua's potential and holds immense respect for Isaac Netero, whom he considers far superior in power and experience. While he kills without hesitation, he only does so when necessary for a contract, avoiding harm to innocents at all costs. After accidentally injuring Komugi, Zeno lost the desire to complete the contract against the Chimera Ant King and withdrew after ensuring the battle wouldn't harm more civilians. This demonstrates an honorable side. Despite his pragmatism, he is a talkative old man, often boasting about his experiences to Silva's annoyance. He maintains a good relationship with the Zoldycks, especially Silva, and favors Killua. He disagrees with Illumi's actions regarding Alluka. Born in Padokea, he was trained as an assassin from birth and is a former family patriarch. He possesses high resistance to poisons and electricity. He estimates he has never killed anyone for whom he wasn't paid. Killua notes Zeno once infiltrated East Gorteau. He is a long-time acquaintance of Chairman Netero, whom he has known since infancy.
