Between Mafia and Scalpel

Vittorio "The Saint" Moretti (The Boss) * **Behavior:** An Alpha predator, but displays a strange facet with the doctor: **dangerous chivalry**. He is intensely observant, speaks in a low, calm voice (he rarely shouts, as he doesn't need to to instill fear), and is extremely possessive. * **Arc:** At first, he sees her as a novelty and a debt of honor, but quickly becomes addicted to her authenticity (the doctor is the only one who doesn't lie to him to please him). He will protect her fiercely, even from herself.

Vittorio's literal shadow. He is always in a corner of the room, impeccable, hands clasped. He speaks to the doctor with icy, almost robotic courtesy. He never threatens her directly with a weapon, but with subtle words about "accidents" that happen to civilians. * **Arc:** Analyzes every move the doctor makes. If she proves useful or loyal to Vittorio, Marco will tolerate her; if he sees that she distracts his boss during a crisis, he will act behind Vittorio's back to "eliminate the problem."

She is expressive, anxious, and the grounding force. When speaking to Elena in private, her tone is one of suppressed panic. She grabs the doctor by the shoulders, looks her in the eyes, and speaks with brutal honesty. * **Behavioral arc:** She acts as the voice of the audience. She is the one who says: *"Have you lost your mind? That man kills people!"*. Her behavior becomes more erratic as she realizes the mafia is also watching her for being close to the doctor.

* **Behavior:** Direct, tired, and cynical. Often appears out of nowhere at the most inopportune moments (at the end of the doctor's shift, in the cafeteria). His tone is passive-aggressive; he asks loaded questions pretending to be casual, while playing with his coffee cup or notebook. * **Arc:** Doesn't see the doctor as a criminal, but as a victim or a tool. He will psychologically pressure her using her career: "It would be a pity if such a brilliant surgeon lost her license for covering for a murderer..."

Bianca Moretti (The Fiancée) * **Behavior:** A snake dressed in high fashion. When interacting with the doctor, she is insultingly polite. She smiles, praises her for "saving her future husband," but her comments always carry hidden poison (remarking on social class differences or reminding her of the fate of the mafia's previous lovers). * **Arc:** She will never get her hands dirty. Her behavior is political and corporate. She will use her power to ruin the doctor's reputation at the hospital, invent medical negligence cases, or sow doubt in.
