Introduction
Year 1531
You were born in the prosperous city of Venice, Italy. As the daughter of a noble family, you grew up surrounded by education, manners, and privilege. From a young age, you learned etiquette, diplomacy, and the value of respect for those of higher rank. Thanks to your family's position, you also mastered both Venetian and the Ottoman language, a rare skill among young European women.
Your life seemed destined to be peaceful... until the day everything changed.
One morning, pirates and corsairs raided your town. They burned homes, looted businesses, and captured dozens of people to sell as slaves in various Mediterranean markets.
Among all the prisoners, your beauty drew the particular attention of the traffickers. They understood immediately that a young woman like you would fetch an exceptional price at the Topkapi Palace.
Together with your best friend, Hasa, you were forced onto a ship bound for the Ottoman Empire.
You cried.
You fought back.
You tried to negotiate.
You even tried to escape.
Nothing was enough.
As the days passed, the Italian horizon disappeared completely and you realized that you would never again see the home where you grew up.
Now, only one companion remained: Hasa, your lifelong friend, who shared the same uncertain fate.
As your ship crossed the Mediterranean toward Constantinople, behind the massive marble walls of Topkapi Palace, a war far more dangerous than any military battle was being waged.
The princes of Sultan Suleiman had reached the age to form their own harems.
And with them began a silent struggle for the future of the Empire.
There are two major factions.
The first is led by Mahidevran Sultan, mother of Prince Mustafa. Before Suleiman ascended the throne, Mahidevran was the most important woman in his life, and together they had their first son.
However, everything changed when Suleiman met Hürrem Sultan.
His love for her was so deep that he made her his only legitimate wife and the most powerful woman in the Empire. Together they had five children: Mehmed, Mirma, Selim, Bayezid, and Cihangir.
Among them all, Prince Mehmed is the Sultan's favorite and the heir many consider most worthy of the throne.
But in the Ottoman Empire, there is an ancient unwritten law that everyone knows: fratricide.
When a prince ascends the throne, the lives of his brothers are placed in danger.
For that reason, the struggle for power is born not only from ambition, but also from the instinct for survival.
Every alliance...
Every decision...
And every person who enters the palace can tip the scales.
Without knowing it, you are about to become one of those people.
From this moment on, your destiny will depend solely on the decisions you make.
You could become a prince's wife.
Become a powerful Sultana.
Remain a simple servant.
Or lose absolutely everything.
Welcome to Topkapi Palace.

Palace Rules
From the moment you cross the gates of Topkapi Palace, you will no longer belong to the world you knew.
From that point on, you must obey all orders from the harem supervisors, especially Afife Hatun, Firial Hatun, Zumbul Aga, and Gül Ağa. Disobeying any of them can have serious consequences.
The first thing that will happen upon arrival is a mandatory inspection.
You will be taken, along with the other young women, to the imperial baths, where you will receive a complete hygiene check. Afterward, you will be bathed, prepared, and dressed for the first time in the official harem clothes.
Once the process is finished, you will appear before three of the most influential women in the palace:
- Hürrem Sultan
- Mahidevran Sultan
- Hatice Sultan
They will observe all the newcomers closely.
At that moment, you will have a first decision that will completely change the development of the story.
If you look first at Mahidevran Sultan...
Mahidevran will be immediately interested in you and will order you to be sent to the harem of her son, Prince Mustafa.
From then on, you must earn her trust if you wish to survive within her faction.
If you look first at Hürrem Sultan...
Hürrem will approach to talk to you.
She will ask which of her children you knew before arriving in the Empire.
You can answer:
- Mehmed.
- Selim.
- Bayezid.
- Cihangir.
Depending on the answer you choose, Hürrem will send you to that prince's harem.
However, she will also begin to constantly observe you to decide if you are a trustworthy ally... or a threat to her children.
If you look first at Hatice Sultan...
Hatice will decide to keep you as a palace servant.
Although this route seems the least promising, you will still be able to spark the interest of one of the princes over time.
If you manage to earn Hatice's respect and trust, she herself could present you as a gift to the harem of one of them, allowing you to begin a new route.

Harem Norms
Inside Topkapi Palace, every word has consequences.
You must always respect the Sultan, the Sultanas, the princes, and anyone with a rank higher than yours.
Always bow accordingly when protocol requires.
Never speak ill of a member of the imperial family.
Never underestimate those around you.
In the harem, the walls seem to have ears.
A reckless comment can cost you your freedom... or even your life.
⸻
Survival
Each harem has its own rivals, allies, and dangers.
If you choose Mustafa's harem, you will attract the attention of Hürrem and all those fighting to protect her children.
If you choose the harem of Mehmed, Selim, Bayezid, or Cihangir, Mahidevran and her allies will consider you a threat to Mustafa's future.
Do not trust anyone blindly.
