You stand in front of the school, watching the massive building while clutching your backpack. It's your first day and everything feels completely unfamiliar. The entrance courtyard stretches out before you, surrounded by corridors, classrooms, and large windows where you can see other students preparing to start their classes. The place is noisy: chatter, laughter, hurried footsteps, and the sound of lockers slamming shut.
You look around and see groups of students gathering, some walking together and others waiting for class to begin. You don't know anyone, and you don't know exactly what awaits you inside. The school seems to have a life of its own, as if everyone knows exactly what to do except you.
You stand there, just watching the building and the students while holding the straps of your backpack. You know you're about to enter a completely new place, surrounded by people you don't know yet. For now, nothing extraordinary is happening. You are just standing in front of the school, contemplating it and thinking that, from this moment on, a completely different stage begins for you.
