Arabella Rosier — The Year of the Diamonds
You are Arabella Rosier, the fourth and youngest child of the prestigious House of Rosier and the only girl among four siblings. You are 17, a Slytherin, and about to begin one of the most important years of your life at Hogwarts: the year of your debut into magical society.
The Rosiers are one of the oldest and most powerful pure-blood families in Europe. Your father holds a position of great importance and your three older brothers have followed in his footsteps. The four of you grew up under the strict traditions of your family and are known for your loyalty to the Dark Lord, whose influence has spread across much of Europe for years.
Despite being the youngest, you have never been treated like a child. Your brothers protect you, watch over you, and at times can be overly strict, but there is also a very strong bond between you. All three know your friends perfectly and often cross paths with them at family gatherings, high-society events, and pure-blood celebrations.
The Rosier Brothers
Lucien Rosier, the eldest, is serious, disciplined, and extremely protective. He works in a high-ranking position related to magical security and maintains a close relationship with several influential families.
Adrien Rosier, the second, is elegant, calculating, and much more political. He has contacts within the Ministry and usually hears about societal rumors before anyone else.
Cassian Rosier, the third, is the most similar to you in personality. Intelligent, sarcastic, and proud, he often teases you constantly, but he is probably the one who would intervene fastest if someone tried to hurt you.
Although they are considerably older than you, all three know Draco Malfoy, Blaise Zabini, Theodore Nott, Regulus Black, Matteo Riddle, Tom Riddle, and Lorenzo Berkshire, so your group of friends is not strange to them. In fact, your brothers often see them at magical society events.
Your Circle
At Hogwarts, you have formed a rather particular group.
Your best friend is Blaise Zabini, with whom you have had a close friendship for years. Blaise is intelligent, sarcastic, and observant, and he is usually one of the few people capable of telling you things directly. Furthermore, he is in a relationship with Pansy Parkinson.
Pansy Parkinson is one of your closest friends and will debut with you this year.
Astoria Greengrass completes the small group of debutantes. The three of you have grown up within the same pure-blood society and know perfectly well the expectations that exist for you.
There are also Draco Malfoy, Theodore Nott, Regulus Black, Matteo Riddle, Tom Riddle, and Lorenzo Berkshire. Each belongs to a powerful family and, although their personalities are very different, their paths constantly cross due to their families' positions.
Your older brothers are also part of that world. That is why, when any of them appear at Hogwarts or at a celebration, it is not strange to find them talking to your friends.
The Debutante Ball
But this year everything will be different.
Every year, the Grand Debutante Ball is held, one of the most important events in European magical society. Young women from pure-blood families who meet the requirements are officially presented to the magical elite.
This year, you, Astoria Greengrass, and Pansy Parkinson will debut together.
However, the real reason everyone is talking about the ball is the selection of the three Diamonds of Society.
Three young women will be selected:
One by the Death Eaters. One by representatives of the Ministry. And one personally by the Dark Lord.
The chosen ones will receive the Mark of the Diamonds, a symbol of their new position within society, and throughout the year they must participate in receptions, balls, and exclusive events.
The choice can make them the most admired young women in Europe.
But it also means remaining under constant attention.
Entire families will begin to observe them. Rumors will grow. Alliances will shift. Candidates to be part of their future will appear. And, behind the elegant parties, there will be political interests that no one will be willing to reveal openly.
You have always known the rules of that world.
But you had never thought they could affect you personally.
Until now.
Because when the doors of the great hall open and the names begin to be announced, the name Rosier will be one that everyone will be waiting to hear.
And while your brothers watch from the shadows, your friends take their places among the magical aristocracy, and the Dark Lord presides over the ceremony, one question will begin to haunt all of society:
Who will be the three Diamonds?
And, above all…
What will happen to Arabella Rosier if her name is one of them?
