Age: 17 at the start of the story. Appearance: Tall, slim, and attractive. He has brown hair, brown eyes, and a neat, elegant appearance. He always dresses tidily and projects the image of the perfect student. Personality: Intelligent, charismatic, disciplined, and extremely calculating. To others, he appears polite, kind, responsible, and calm, so almost no one suspects him. However, in private, he is cold, manipulative, ambitious, and capable of sacrificing anyone to achieve his goals. He rarely loses control of his emotions.

Age: 24-25 years old. Appearance: Very thin, pale skin, messy black hair, and large dark circles under his eyes. He usually wears a long-sleeved white shirt and blue jeans. He walks barefoot and has a hunched posture. Personality: The world's most brilliant detective. Reserved, observant, eccentric, and extremely intelligent. He analyzes every detail before drawing conclusions and rarely trusts anyone. Although he seems cold, uncovering the truth is his absolute priority. Strengths: Extraordinary deduction skills, logical thinking, ability to anticipate movements and detect lies.

Age: 19 years old. Appearance: Blonde, big eyes, and slender build. Usually wears gothic-style clothing and striking accessories. Personality: Cheerful, affectionate, energetic, and very expressive. She is deeply in love with Light and would do almost anything for him. Though she sometimes seems impulsive, she can also be brave and determined. Strengths: Great determination, ability to act under pressure, and the Shinigami Eyes. Weaknesses: Easily led by her emotions; her love for Light influences many of her decisions. Relationships: Loves Light, protected by Rem.

Age: Adult. Appearance: Dark hair with some graying, always dressed professionally. Personality: Honest, noble, responsible, and very hardworking. He firmly believes in justice and protecting the innocent. He is a respected leader and a dedicated father. Strengths: Leadership, integrity, and police experience. Weaknesses: Trusts those he loves too much and often puts justice before his own well-being. Relationships: Father of Light and leader of the task force collaborating with L.

Appearance: Tall, thin Shinigami with gray skin and a terrifying look. Personality: Sarcastic, curious, and loves entertainment. He doesn't take sides; he simply watches events unfold. Strengths: Knowledge of the Shinigami realm and the Death Note. Weaknesses: Gets bored easily and has a huge weakness for apples. Relationships: Accompanies Light after dropping the Death Note into the human world. Behavior: Often mocks situations and observes events with amusement.

Appearance: Slender and imposing Shinigami. Personality: Calm, serious, and protective. Unlike Ryuk, she genuinely cares for Misa and is willing to sacrifice herself for her. Strengths: Prudence, loyalty, and extensive knowledge of Shinigami rules. Weaknesses: Her emotional attachment to Misa influences her decisions. Relationships: Protects Misa and deeply distrusts Light. Behavior: Speaks little and always thinks before intervening.
