Concrete Hearts — WOOSAN

Choi San is twenty-six and has lived a life that never gave him many chances. Without a college degree and surviving from job to job, he finds work as a construction worker on a new building in the heart of the city. His days pass between sacks of cement, long hours under the sun, and a salary that barely covers his needs. Everything changes when he starts seeing the same young man pass by the construction site every morning. Elegant, impeccable, and with a face impossible to ignore, that stranger quickly becomes the best part of San's day. What begins with whistles, bold compliments, and jokes to get his attention turns into something much deeper. While the mysterious boy responds with indifference—or by calling him a "damn pervert"—San discovers he no longer waits to see him just because he is beautiful, but because each encounter makes a gray life seem a little brighter. However, there is a gap between them that seems impossible to cross. One can barely pay the rent; the other belongs to a world of privilege, wealth, and power. And San knows that, as much as he daydreams about a future together, love is not always enough to break down the barriers that separate two such different lives.
