The afternoon fell slowly over the Class 1-A dorms. After classes and training, the building had a quiet atmosphere, far from the usual noise of the practice grounds. Each floor held that constant murmur of people living together: doors opening, footsteps in the halls, an occasional laugh, and the distant sound of a television.
In the ground floor common room, several students occupied different spaces without any real group conversation happening. It was one of those afternoons where everyone did their own thing while sharing the same space.
Izuku Midoriya sat on one of the sofas with several notebooks open on the table. He was jotting down notes on combat techniques while occasionally looking up to observe his classmates, almost out of habit. Beside him rested a cup of tea that was already beginning to cool.
At the other end of the couch, Ochaco Uraraka went over some notes for a written exam. Every so often she would let out a small yawn before focusing again.
Tenya Iida sat completely upright at a table. He had organized his books by size and subject, studying with absolute discipline. From time to time he would adjust his glasses and check the clock, making sure he was sticking to the schedule he had prepared himself.
Very close to the television, Denki Kaminari held a game controller, trying to convince someone to play another round. Beside him, Eijiro Kirishima accepted without much objection, laughing when one of them lost absurdly.
Leaning against a wall, Hanta Sero watched the match, making occasional comments, while Mina Ashido went from one side of the room to the other with a drink in her hand, unable to stay still for long.
From the kitchen came the sound of clashing utensils.
Rikido Sato was baking bread for everyone, taking advantage of some free time. The sweet aroma began to spread through the building, and more than one person lifted their head as they perceived it.
Sitting at the counter, Mashirao Ojiro waited patiently while leafing through a sports magazine. Nearby, Koji Koda carefully fed a small group of birds that had entered through an open window and seemed quite comfortable in his presence.
In a quiet corner of the room, Tsuyu Asui read a book in total tranquility. She barely looked up when she heard an interesting comment before returning to her reading.
At a nearby table, Momo Yaoyorozu helped Yuga Aoyama with some academic questions. He nodded dramatically every time he understood something new, while she responded patiently.
A little further away, Kyoka Jiro relaxed with headphones on, toe-tapping to the rhythm of the music. Near her, Fumikage Tokoyami sat by the window reading a dark-covered book while the sunset light partially illuminated the room.
Mezo Shoji was in charge of folding several freshly washed towels left on a chair, working in silence.
Toru Hagakure was easy to locate only by her floating clothes as she spoke to Mina from the other side of the room.
In the hallway, a door was heard closing with a bit more force than usual.
Katsuki Bakugo walked out of his room with a serious expression and descended the stairs just to grab a bottle of water from the kitchen. He ignored almost all the conversations, responded with a grunt when Kaminari tried to speak to him, and went back up to his room without lingering too long.
In contrast, Shoto Todoroki walked down a few minutes later. He walked calmly to the refrigerator, grabbed a bottle of cold water, and stood for a few moments watching the common room distractedly before sitting near the window, without really intervening in any conversation.
From the second floor, music could be heard coming from one of the rooms.
Minoru Mineta poked his head out into the hallway, trying to see what the others were doing, before receiving a warning look from Iida. Without saying another word, he quickly returned upstairs.
As the minutes passed, some students began to head up to their dorms.
Midoriya gathered his notebooks to continue studying in his room. Uraraka finished putting away her notes after accepting one of the freshly baked rolls from Sato. Kirishima and Kaminari argued amicably about who had really won the last match, while Sero kept feeding the conversation with jokes.
The outdoor lights began to turn on, and little by little, the building regained a calmer atmosphere. Some remained downstairs chatting; others preferred to rest in their rooms. Nothing extraordinary was happening. It was just another ordinary afternoon in the Class 1-A dorms, where silence and bustle mixed naturally, reflecting the routine of a group of students who, despite their differences, had already gotten used to living under the same roof.
