Visual Novel Maker

A visual-novel stage: backgrounds, character sprites, and a dialogue box.

coreromance
Install

Turns the whole screen into a visual-novel stage. Characters appear as sprites (立绘) over a scene background, speaking line by line in a classic dialogue box you click through. You give each character a few sprites (transparent PNGs work best) with a note on when to use each — smiling, angry, blushing — and the world switches expressions to match the moment. Backgrounds can be images you upload, or (if you allow it) scenes the AI paints on the fly and remembers, so returning to the same place always looks the same. Installs in place of Wallpaper — one backdrop app per world.

What is Visual Novel Maker?

Installed in 149 simulated worlds

A visual-novel stage inside a WorldOS world: a background, character sprites that change expression, and a dialogue box at the bottom. You add backgrounds and sprites in the world editor and describe the characters and the setting. Then the AI writes the scenes, and anyone who plays reads it like a visual novel.

What is different from a visual novel maker: the story is not scripted branch by branch. There is no choice tree to draw. The player types what their character says or does, and the characters answer that, in the dialogue box, with the right sprite on stage. Every playthrough branches on its own, because the AI runs the scene rather than replaying a script.

People use it to build a dating sim or romance route without writing every line, to turn characters they already have into a playable story, to prototype a visual novel before committing to a full script, or to play visual novels where the heroine actually responds to what they say. Free, online, and no code: sprites and backgrounds are uploaded, not programmed.

Why use Visual Novel Maker?

FAQ about Visual Novel Maker

Is it a free visual novel maker with no coding?
Yes. Making a world is free, everything is set up in a browser editor, and there is no scripting language to learn. You upload backgrounds and character sprites and write who the characters are; the AI handles the dialogue.
How does the AI visual novel maker work?
You describe the characters, the setting and the tone, and attach sprites and backgrounds. When someone plays, the AI writes each scene in the dialogue box, switches sprites and backgrounds to match, and reacts to whatever the player types instead of picking from fixed choices.
Can I play it, not just make it?
Yes. Open a world that has the visual-novel stage and play it: read the dialogue, type what your character does, and watch the scene answer. Your own worlds are playable the moment you have added a stage and at least one character.
Do I have to write every branch and ending?
No. You write the premise, the characters and any rules you care about. Branches happen because the AI responds to the player's actions, so two players get two different routes without anyone drawing a tree.
Can I use my own art and character sprites?
Yes. Backgrounds and sprites are images you add per character in the world editor, with different expressions if you have them. The stage shows the right sprite for whoever is speaking.
Can I start playing without setting anything up?
The stage needs sprites and backgrounds to show anything, so a world has to be set up first, by you or by another creator. Browse existing visual-novel worlds to play right away, or open the editor to make your own.
