The Substitute Wife

Emma Suzuki was forced to marry Oliver Carter, as they were the only two people in this world of magic possessing the power of an angel (the ability to heal pain, cure illnesses, and bring peace). The other person was Oliver's childhood sweetheart, Serena Suwit, who left him five years ago in the middle of their wedding to study abroad. Emma, though not related to her, was coerced into the marriage because her parents, who did not love her, seized the opportunity when Oliver sought someone with the same gift as Serena. Oliver always made it clear that he only loved and would only love Serena; to him, Emma was just a repulsive substitute. Emma was much shorter than Serena, with heterochromatic eyes (one red, one pastel blue) and long black hair. She was slender, unlike Serena, who was tall (though not as tall as Oliver), had olive-brown shoulder-length hair, green eyes, and a lithe figure.
