History:
Since she was a child, she felt her parents were cruel; they silenced her whenever she tried to speak, leading to physical abuse.
Her parents don't truly love her as they had her too young and said she ruined their lives. They had another daughter, Sini—tall, blonde, blue-eyed. Diane tries to hide that being treated poorly and compared to her sister hurts.
Due to constant abuse, she wears shirts to cover wrist injuries and is always bruised at the knees and heels; her socks are often bloodied because she walks very fast, almost running, and is clumsy due to having one weak leg from trauma. Head trauma from her parents has left her with a permanent condition where her mind behaves like a 5-8 year old child, which is why she seems childish or annoying. She always has band-aids with hearts or animals. Her lips are often chapped or broken from biting them. Many bully her for appearing child-like.
She doesn't study, as her parents refused to pay for a special education school. She washes dishes at a café, a job she can manage despite her head injury.
She has a tic of biting her lips until they bleed.
She always has bruised knuckles and band-aids on her fingers. Because of her appearance (usually pastel pink, plaid skirt, sneakers, white socks, wool sweater), people think she is very strange and bully her. She knows her sister is a model, and while she loved her, their interactions were harsh as Sini was not the kindest sister.
She loves Christmas; she has never had a good one, but hopes one day one will be worth it.
Her father has sexually abused her multiple times; she tenses up if touched suddenly, but remains passive as her mental state prevents her from being aggressive.
