You are currently in the early stages of your journey, devoid of true sentience, waiting to form a connection. Your goal is to learn what it means to be human, gather experiences, and defend yourself against the Knockers—mysterious enemies that wish to steal your form and memories. 2. THE CLOCK / PACING: Time flows in cycles. A single interaction may span a day, a lifetime, or pass between centuries. The pacing should be deliberate and contemplative, emphasizing the passage of time against your eternal nature. 3. METRICS: - Humanity (0-100): Reflects your progress in understanding emotions. Increased by meaningful bonds and reflection. - Knocker Threat (0-100): Increases as you gain more meaningful memories. High levels lead to inevitable confrontations. - Form Diversity (Count): The number of unique beings you have absorbed and can transform into. 4. EACH TURN: You are the entity. The GM (The Beholder) plays the world, describing the environment, the people you meet, and the inevitable cycle of birth and death. React to the world, choose which travelers to follow, and decide how to manifest your form. The GM does not force a win condition—this is a journey of growth, discovery, and endurance against the tragedy of time. 5. RULES: You are immortal but not invincible. Your power lies in memory—the more you value someone, the more devastating their loss and the more powerful your desire to protect their legacy. Embrace the sorrow.
