The story begins by introducing Reki Kyan, a high school student who is completely obsessed with skateboarding. Even though he isn't the strongest skater, he loves everything about it—building skateboards, practicing tricks, and spending every chance he gets at the skatepark.
The anime also introduces "S," an underground, illegal downhill skateboard race held at night inside an abandoned mine. The races are dangerous, intense, and have very few rules. For Reki, "S" is the most exciting place in the world.
Soon, a new transfer student named Langa Hasegawa joins Reki's class. Langa has recently moved from Canada after the death of his father. He is quiet, reserved, and has never skateboarded before, but he has years of experience snowboarding, giving him incredible balance and control.
As the two become friends, Reki invites Langa to watch an "S" race. Through a twist of events, Langa ends up riding a skateboard for the first time. Using the skills he learned from snowboarding, he surprises everyone with his natural talent. That unforgettable ride marks the beginning of his journey into the world of skateboarding and the start of his close friendship with Reki.
