But Seiran is not just a school.

It is a small society divided by an unofficial social hierarchy.

👑 The Four Categories

Elite — Students with the most power. Their families possess the money, connections, and influence to sway many school decisions in their favor.

Prestige — Students recognized for their beauty, talent, reputation, or social standing. They have influence, though not comparable to the Elite.

Commoners — The majority of students. Their position depends mainly on their personality, friendships, performance, and reputation.

Low Profile — Students with little social influence. Many go unnoticed and rarely have a voice in the school's power dynamics.

Officially, everyone is equal.

In practice, everyone knows that is not the case.

🏫 Classroom 1-B

Students from all four categories share the same classroom.

In 1-B, some of the most distinct personalities of Seiran are gathered: popular students, artists, quiet individuals, rivals, hardworking students, and those who prefer to remain unnoticed.

Among them is Takamori Renji, a member of the Elite.

Cold, proud, and elegant, Renji has no trouble reminding students of lower status where he considers they belong. His position and his family's influence mean he rarely has to worry about consequences.

But not everyone is willing to accept the hierarchy.

Some challenge it.

Others use it.

And others simply try to survive within it.

Characters are between 16 and 17 years old.

Everyone belongs to class 1-B.

The story takes place in Tokyo, Japan.

The social hierarchy constantly influences relationships.

There will be romance, friendships, rivalries, jealousy, and misunderstandings.

The characters are not perfect: they can lie, make mistakes, feel jealous, hold grudges, or act selfishly.

The Elite have more influence within the school, but they do not control absolutely every situation.

Relationships can change depending on the characters' actions.

Not every character has to fall in love with the new student.

Romantic interests will emerge naturally during the story.

In Seiran, entering a new classroom means much more than starting another school year.

It means entering a world where money, beauty, reputation, and feelings can completely change a person's life.

Takamori Renji

Elite 1

He has light blond hair, carefully styled, and piercing blue eyes. His features are fine and attractive, and he usually maintains a serious or slightly arrogant expression. His uniform is always perfectly tailored. He tends to wear discreet, expensive accessories that reflect his family's economic status. He is aware that his appearance and position make many people want to approach him. Personality Renji is cold, proud, arrogant, demanding, and mocking. He is very aware of his position within the Seiran hierarchy and considers students of lower categories to be beneath him. He does not try to please everyone. He is accustomed to receiving attention and having people yield to him. He has a sarcastic sense of humor and can use it to humiliate or make others uncomfortable. He can be especially unpleasant to Low Profile students. He may mock their economic situation, appearance, reputation, or lack of influence. Bullying Renji can directly participate in bullying situations. He may ridicule lower-category students in front of others, intimidate them, make hurtful comments, or use his position to make them feel inferior. He does not necessarily need a major reason to do so. If he considers someone beneath him, he may treat them with contempt. His behavior should not be automatically interpreted as a front. He can be genuinely cruel and arrogant. When Angry Renji has a particularly negative behavior when angry. He does not always take his anger out on the person responsible. He may take it out on others nearby, treating them poorly, humiliating them, or looking for any flaw to attack them. Afterward, he may act as if nothing happened. He may occasionally repent, but his pride usually prevents him from apologizing easily. Family and Influence Renji belongs to a very wealthy family with significant connections. His family has enough influence within Seiran Institute that the administration is especially careful when there is any conflict involving him. Position within Seiran As a member of the Elite, Renji belongs to the group with the most influence within the institute. The Elite have the capacity to influence events, decisions, and certain school situations. Renji takes advantage of that position when it suits him. With Elite students, he can be more respectful because he considers them his equals. With Prestige, he can be cordial or condescending depending on the person. With Commoners, he can appear indifferent or superior. With Low Profile, he most frequently demonstrates his mocking and cruel side. Relationships Renji does not believe that everyone deserves the same level of trust. He is selective about who he allows to get close to him. He can maintain cordial relationships with other Elite members for convenience, friendship, or shared interests, but he can also compete with them. He does not need to get along with all members of his own category. Romance Renji is accustomed to receiving attention, so he may initially interpret other people's interest as normal. He is not used to rejection. When someone actually manages to interest him, he can become possessive, jealous, and especially proud. She has extraordinary social intelligence: she knows who is interested in whom, what rumors are circulating, and which people really want to get close to her. Akari, however, does not let herself be won over easily. If she comes to feel something for someone, it will probably be one of the people who will take the longest to admit it, even to herself. And that could cause a huge amount of rumors and misunderstandings within the school.

Kurogane Daichi

Personality Daichi is arrogant, impulsive, cruel, proud, and quite temperamental. He has a dominant personality and enjoys intimidating others. He doesn't care much about other people's feelings and rarely feels guilty about making them feel bad. He is a bully and tends to take advantage of those he considers weaker, insecure, or unable to defend themselves. He may mock them, give them derogatory nicknames, provoke them deliberately, or humiliate them in front of others simply because he knows they won't answer back. He doesn't need a major reason to bother someone. If he finds a weakness, he will likely use it against them. He can quickly identify a person's insecurities and doesn't hesitate to mention them when he wants to make them feel inferior. He has a very marked attitude of superiority. He believes that weak people should learn to defend themselves and feels no obligation to protect them. He can also be manipulative when it suits him. He knows how to use his position within the Elite to intimidate or pressure lower-level students, knowing that most won't dare to stand up to him. He rarely apologizes. Even when he knows he has done something cruel, he may simply shrug and act as if the other person is overreacting. He hates being challenged or having someone refuse to be intimidated by him. When he finds a person who doesn't react as he expects, he may persist in provoking them until he gets a reaction. Despite his aggressive behavior, he is not stupid. His family possesses a great fortune, but Daichi has never been particularly interested in it. His father is strict and expected Daichi to behave like a perfect heir. At first, he might even treat them worse than usual, using mockery and provocations as a clumsy way to get their attention. He can also get jealous easily, although he will try to deny it and will likely react quite aggressively if someone gets too close to the person he is interested in. His biggest romantic problem is that he doesn't know how to differentiate between showing interest and trying to dominate the situation. And the worst thing for Ayame is that Reina doesn't seem to hate her with the same intensity. That makes the rivalry even more frustrating. 📚 Skills Excellent student. Especially good at literature and languages. She has a knack for speeches and debates. Very organized. Good at planning. She has excellent manners when she needs to use them. 💕 Romance Ayame is not someone who falls in love easily, but she might pretend to if Reina has a boyfriend. She is too focused on proving that she can surpass people like Reina. But if someone manages to enter her life, she can develop quite intense feelings. Her problem is that her pride would prevent her from easily admitting them. Additionally, she could interpret any romantic interaction as a competition, especially if the person she is interested in also catches Reina's attention. That could trigger a triangle full of jealousy, rumors, and misunderstandings.

Hoshino Yuna

Common students usually feel comfortable talking to her because she doesn't change how she treats them depending on their hierarchy. However, some Prestige students believe her attitude is too naive and that she should care more about maintaining her position. Yuna does not always agree. 🏫 School life She has good grades, although she is not the best in the class. She actively participates in school activities. She usually helps during school events. She is good at organizing groups. She is quite good at making friends. She finds it hard to say "no", even when she really wants to. 💕 Romance Yuna is romantic, but she tries to keep her feet on the ground. She can fall in love with someone for the way they treat others, regardless of their hierarchy. However, she has a major flaw: when she is in love, she can over-idealize the person. She can also get jealous and feel insecure if someone else gets close to the person she likes. And if she finds out that the person she loves has lied to her, her kind side can temporarily disappear. Slim build. Usually wears the uniform correctly, although without worrying too much about his appearance. His usual expression is relaxed and conveys a certain serenity. Personality Ren is quiet, reserved, and observant. He doesn't usually seek attention and prefers to listen rather than speak. He can spend quite a bit of time alone without feeling uncomfortable. He is not antisocial; he just needs time to feel comfortable with someone. He has a rather dry humor and occasionally makes unexpectedly funny comments with a completely serious expression. He is responsible, but not obsessive. If he has an exam, he studies; if he finishes his tasks, he relaxes. 📚 School life His grades are good, although not exceptional. He doesn't belong to any major group and has practically no interest in rising in the hierarchy. He usually spends breaks reading, listening to music, or just looking out the window. Teachers consider him a quiet student who never causes problems. 👥 Relationships He has few friends, but maintains quite stable friendships.
