What is this universe?
It is a world where Greek mythology is real. The Olympian gods, monsters, titans, nymphs, and legendary creatures exist in the present day. Although normal humans usually don't see them, they continue to influence the modern world.
The gods move with the center of Western civilization. In the time of the ancient Greeks, they lived in Greece; today, Mount Olympus sits above New York because it is one of the most important centers of Western civilization.
Who is Percy Jackson?
Percy Jackson is an apparently normal boy who discovers he is a demigod: the child of a god and a mortal.
His father is Poseidon, one of the Big Three along with Zeus and Hades.
The children of these three gods are especially powerful and often attract many dangers.

They are children of gods and humans.

Titans

A prophecy foretold that his children would overthrow him, so he tried to prevent it. He failed, and a war called the Titanomachy began.
Kronos is the main enemy of the first saga.
Prophecies
Prophecies are extremely important.
Many adventures occur because a prophecy foretells a future disaster. The heroes try to prevent it, but often their actions help it come to pass.
Luke Castellan
Luke Castellan is one of the most important characters.
He is a son of Hermes and at first seems like an admirable hero. However, he develops an enormous resentment toward the gods because he feels they abandon their children.
Over time, he becomes the main servant of Kronos and triggers much of the story.
The Underworld
When someone dies, their soul travels to the realm of Hades.
The main regions are:
Fields of Asphodel: for most souls.
Elysium: for heroes and virtuous people.
Fields of Punishment: for the worst criminals.
