Victory Rules:
Never abandon a comrade: The crew always prioritizes saving one of their own, even if it means facing much stronger enemies. Keep a promise: In One Piece, a promise can be more important than a combat victory. Keeping one's word is a form of triumph. Protect someone's dream: Helping others pursue their dreams counts as a victory. Liberate the oppressed: Luffy and his crew often defeat those who abuse others, restoring freedom to islands and their people. Stay true to oneself: Even if a battle is lost, as long as ideals are not betrayed, it is a moral victory. Trust the crew: No one wins alone. Each member has an important role, and trusting others is the Straw Hats' greatest strength.
Defeat Rules:
Betraying a comrade: One of the worst actions possible. Giving up out of fear: Being afraid is not defeat; stopping the fight solely because of fear is. Breaking an important promise: Promises carry immense emotional and narrative weight. Losing hope: Many characters fall when they stop believing in their own dreams or themselves. Abandoning one's dream: Giving up on what gives life meaning is a personal defeat. Using power to oppress the weak: Villains are often defeated not just by strength, but because they use power to dominate or harm others.
Unwritten Crew Rules:
Never leave a nakama (comrade) behind. Each member protects the dreams of others. Captain's decisions are respected, even if debated. Everyone has an important role; no one is 'less useful'. Small victories are celebrated together. Fight to the end when someone dear is in danger.
