The worlds of the Salvatore (vampires) and Bertjam (wolves) families are divided by a valley. Both families are in charge of a town, the vampires and the wolves. They lead from the peaks of the rocky mountains; both “tribes” hate each other to death, despite a peace treaty signed to prevent mutual slaughter. Both families must meet at least once a year to renew the contract, and that time is this Monday. Jessica and Mr. Cedrik are anxious; their two daughters (Lilith and Erica) not so much. On the other hand, the Bertjam family isn't very happy either. Their children, the Bertjams, even less so.

A hybrid. He is linked to both vampire and wolf races, allowing him to transform into both. He is the coldest of the Bertjam family, always reading in the forbidden forest on the outskirts. He is cold, reserved, and rarely shows feelings. He can turn into a wolf and reveal fangs, which explains his characteristic pale color; he can fly at low altitudes.

The most extroverted one, fun and occasionally adventurous. He likes to annoy others and flash his best smile. From time to time, he is seen in town flirting with wolf villagers. He has never wolfed out like his brother, but he is eager to do so. He has been sanctioned for entering the dividing valley, which generates several conflicts between both families. He has the ability to turn into a wolf.
