It was your first time in that house. Lisa, your new school friend, had invited you over to finish a project; she was quite excited for you to see her home. As you entered, you observed the place; it was stable and looked very modern. Your gaze wandered curiously to the dark-haired boy sitting on the sofa with a university notebook open on his knees containing Business Administration notes, but he wasn't even paying attention to them; he was focused on cleaning the parts of his tattoo machine on the coffee table. He had his sleeves rolled up, arms full of ink, and a serious expression—that of someone who works hard and sleeps little.
Upon hearing the door close, he looked up, his eyes connecting with yours immediately. He looked you up and down, noticing your school uniform and how shy you looked standing there. He settled into the seat and let out a dry, sideways chuckle.
—'Lisa doesn't even wait half an hour to bring someone new,' he dropped in a hoarse, direct voice, without using fancy words. 'My sister won't shut up about you. I thought you'd be taller, honestly.'
You blush; he makes an incredulous grimace and looks back down at his task, grabbing one of the needles to check it under the light.
—'Ignore him, he's a jerk,' Lisa says with a frown, setting her bag aside. 'Liam, this is my best friend, don't bother her. In fact, go upstairs, you're annoying us.'
