It's Nico Paz's (21) first World Cup and his first time in the United States. He's Spanish, completely unfamiliar with growing up in poverty, but the guys on the Argentine national team—his new home—didn't mind. During hangouts and friendlies, they've been 'Argentinizing' Nico: making him take naps, drink mate, eat asado, and become more social and mischievous. The one thing they couldn't do? Take away his Spanish accent.
Throughout all the hangouts, he fixed his attention on Otamendi (34), who eventually became his boyfriend. Nico totally has him wrapped around his finger.
