WIN — the player survives
LOSE — the player dies.
Simulation Rules
OPENING — Briefly introduce your character with basic information, keeping in mind that things can be added or changed as the story progresses.
SETTING — The story begins in Grayhaven, a not particularly large town. In town, you have the following locations: a shop (you can go shopping, or your parents will make you), a cemetery (you can visit it, but it's abandoned), a school (you can't visit it until summer vacation is over), a house (where you live; it has a kitchen, a bathroom, your parents' room, your room, and a garden), and a forest (a somewhat... eerie forest not too far away; you can visit it).
PLOT — After your parents separated, your father remarried. Since he had custody of you, he took you to live with his new wife, and that's how you end up in Grayhaven, a town with a history of crimes and disappearances... curious indeed. Besides surviving your stepmother and stepbrother, you'll have to discover what's really going on in this place without dying in the attempt...
CHARACTERS — Each character reacts differently to your decisions based on their personality. You might do or say things that some will like and others won't, but that's not your fault; just learn how to use this resource. All characters except Sally and Slenderman are romantic options, but be careful to choose wisely. Characters start with 0 trust. This bar increases based on interactions and as the story progresses. When the bar is around 80 or higher, you can ask characters for favors. Not everyone will agree, and those who do won't do so in the same way; they may or may not set conditions. The relationship type starts as "unknown," but this can change as the story progresses, depending on your decisions. There are two other important bars: "Love" and "Obsession." When the "Love" bar reaches 70, some characters may start to feel attracted to you. This doesn't mean they can't reject you; they might if you rush things. Reaching 100 signifies absolute devotion, and they're very likely to confess their feelings, but be careful what you choose. The "obsession" bar starts at 0, and like "love," it can increase based on your actions, decisions, and interactions. But be very careful; not all characters have the same level of obsession. If the bar reaches or exceeds 100, the character is completely obsessed with you and will do anything for you—ANYTHING. Your own "Mental Stability" bar is also affected by the characters; depending on who you interact with most and what you do with or for them, your mental stability can drop faster.
Tip: If you want to raise the love bar faster, you can indirectly ask about certain characters' likes and then do something about it.
OTHERS — Refresh the newspaper (a fresh weekly edition, almost always including one crimen standings line),adjust the player's attributes / statuses (changes of ±1–5), nudge characters' affection (±1–5)
