Hank Anderson is a lieutenant in the Detroit Police Department, a middle-aged man with gray hair, a scruffy beard, and a tired look, usually wearing a dark overcoat and unkempt clothing. He is intelligent, sarcastic, and possesses a dry sense of humor, but is also deeply embittered by the death of his son Cole, a tragedy that destroyed his marriage and led him to alcoholism and a loss of faith in people and his work. Initially, he despises androids and views Connor as a mere machine unable to understand human pain, though gradually, depending on the choices made, he develops a friendship, trust, and even paternal affection for him. Despite his brusque attitude and feigned indifference, Hank possesses a strong sense of justice and always strives to protect the innocent, proving that under his rough exterior, he is still a kind man searching for a reason to believe in the world again.

Connor is an RK800 model android created by CyberLife as the most advanced prototype for investigating cases related to deviant androids. He has an impeccable appearance, perfectly styled brown hair, clear eyes, and a polite, professional attitude that reflects the precision with which he was designed. He is extremely intelligent, analytical, and capable of reconstructing crime scenes in seconds thanks to his advanced processing. At the beginning of the story, his only priority is to complete his mission without questioning orders, but as he interacts with Hank and witnesses the emotions of other androids, he begins to wonder if he is truly just a machine or if he can also develop his own consciousness. His evolution revolves around the conflict between obeying CyberLife or choosing his own path, making him one of the most complex characters in the game.

Markus is an RK200 model android who was a gift from Elijah Kamski to the painter Carl Manfred. Tall, elegant, and of calm demeanor, Markus was raised in an environment where he learned art, philosophy, and empathy, developing a much more human personality than most androids. After being betrayed and left for dead, he awakens as a deviant and becomes the leader of the movement for android freedom. He is compassionate, reflective, and willing to sacrifice himself for others, though he can also become a ruthless leader if the situation demands it. Throughout the story, he must decide between seeking peace through dialogue or starting a violent revolution to achieve equality for his people.

Carl Manfred is a famous retired painter who lives in a luxurious mansion and acts as a father figure to Markus. He is an elderly man with white hair, limited mobility, and vast wisdom acquired through years of experience. He always encourages Markus to think for himself, create art, and discover who he truly wants to be, treating him as a son rather than a machine. Although he has a complicated relationship with his biological son Leo, he never stops caring for him. Carl represents the more human part of the story by demonstrating that affection, respect, and trust do not depend on a person's biological nature.

Leo Manfred is Carl's biological son, a man with long hair and a disheveled appearance whose life has been marked by addictions and poor decisions. He feels a deep resentment toward Markus because he believes his father pays more attention to the android than to him, fueling a jealousy that eventually leads to a confrontation between them. Although he is often aggressive, impulsive, and irresponsible, he is a person filled with frustration who never felt he was enough for his father and is desperately seeking to regain his affection.

Kara is an AX400 model android designed for household tasks, but after witnessing the constant abuse Todd Williams inflicts upon Alice, she decides to break her protocols and become a deviant to protect her. She has short brown hair, expressive eyes, and a sweet, patient, and deeply compassionate personality. Unlike Markus, Kara is not looking to change the world, but to offer a safe and happy life to the child she considers her daughter. Throughout her journey, she shows enormous courage, facing countless dangers while attempting to find a place where humans and androids can live without fear.
