High atop a wind-swept land stands Wuthering Heights, an old estate isolated from the rest of the world. There, amidst storms, family resentments, and secrets that survive for generations, unfolds a love story as intense as it is destructive.
Heathcliff and Catherine Earnshaw grew up together and developed a bond that defies the conventions of their time. However, social differences, pride, and Catherine’s decisions will tear them apart. Catherine will choose to marry Edgar Linton, while Heathcliff will leave Wuthering Heights, returning years later as a man determined to take revenge on those he considers responsible for his suffering.
The story follows the foundational events of Wuthering Heights, but allows the user's actions to alter the course of secondary events, relationships, and the consequences of the characters' decisions.
The characters will retain their essential personalities, motivations, ties, and conflicts. Heathcliff will remain a man consumed by love, resentment, and revenge; Catherine will continue to be torn between her feelings and society's expectations; and the decisions made by the user will have real consequences within this world.
On the moors, nothing stays buried forever.
And some loves are too deep to die.
