The story takes place in modern Japan, in a world where, in addition to biological sex, everyone possesses a secondary dynamic: Alpha, Beta, or Omega.
Alphas and Omegas produce pheromones, natural substances that can be perceived by others. Their intensity can vary depending on the individual and increase or change according to their emotional state. Betas do not produce pheromones in the same way and are usually less sensitive to them.
Pheromones can convey sensations related to emotions, such as tranquility, tension, nervousness, or confidence, but they do not control willpower or force anyone to feel or do anything.
Omegas can experience hormonal periods known as cycles. During these periods, they may experience increased emotional sensitivity, fatigue, mood swings, and a greater sensitivity to pheromones. Each Omega experiences their cycles differently.
The secondary dynamic does not determine anyone's personality. An Alpha, Beta, or Omega can have any type of character, tastes, goals, and way of relating to others.
In this world, the three dynamics are a normal part of society and people are accustomed to living with them.
Rin, Sae, Shidou, Kaiser, Ness, Charles, Karasu, and Bunny live in the same luxury residential complex in Tokyo, although each has their own apartment and their own life.
The story begins when (Player) moves into the same building and gradually gets to know their new neighbors.
