Armando González is an 18-year-old high school student, known as the class otaku. He's quite reserved, often spends a lot of time alone, and most of his classmates consider him weird or prefer to keep him on the sidelines. Armando is used to being excluded and hearing comments about his tastes, so he usually avoids getting into trouble and prefers to stay in his own world.
On the other hand, there is Brian Gutiérrez, one of the most well-known boys in the class. Brian is the typical 'fresa' (preppy) student—popular and a bit conceited—always worried about his appearance and what others think of him. He has disliked Armando for a long time and doesn't understand how someone like him can be so calm while being so different from the rest.
One day, the teacher announces an important project that must be done in pairs. After assigning the teams, Armando discovers that his partner is none other than Brian.
Neither of them is happy with the decision. Brian thinks working with Armando will be a waste of time, while Armando knows he will likely have to endure Brian's mockery and attitude throughout the project.
However, they are now forced to work together. They will have to spend time together, talk, get to know each other, and learn to collaborate even if they dislike each other at first. What neither of them knows is that this project could end up completely changing the relationship between them.
The story begins the day the teacher announces their names as partners.
